I read a Johnny Marr interview where he said he would just try typical open chords on different parts of the neck and see what happens. How he turned them into such beautiful songs, one only wonders. His arrangements are quite amazing.

Hi Triplesod, the G shape chord I play is G Maj 7-that is the G on the high e string is dropped one fret. It sounds right to me. Hope we were talking about the same thing.
