This is a librivox recording and thus some sort of "automatic reading". The idea is i.e. making literature available for people who can´t read. There seems to be no ambition in performing.

Would you allow me to ask if you speak/understand the german language too? If so you might possibly like my own readings of the Sherlock Holmes adventures (and more). Those are ... performed, not just read.

I haven't been able to find an audio book version anywhere. So thank you very much for making it possible to enjoy good literature and do my ironing at the same time :)

And to all those who are complaining: You've obviously never listened to German audio books. Most of them are far worse than this.

I agree to your opinion concerning many of the german audiobooks but if you´re on search for well performed german readings you might possibly want to listen to my versions of the Sherlock Holmes adventures? If i can´t fullfill your expectations it cost´s a minute of your life to discover, but if you love what i have to offer there are fifteen Holmes available for you at the time (and more).

Sherlock Holmes is my favorite character in classic literature. He is arrogant, cold, a manic depressive, compulsive obsessive drug addict, his genius is superhuman, lonely, unable to connect to anybody before or after Watson, and yet he is a true hero.
