  • @Samhugh09..... thank you so much!!! I'll have her start doing those right away. She's a volleyball player too so her vertical is really really improving so this should help that too. I so appreciate this!!

  • my daughter is 13.... was in 1st place in hi jump.. but now her back is bothering her... this i her first year to do hi jump so shes doing good......IMHO.... so you have any suggestions for exercises to condition her back..... she wants toc continue and get better....but the back..

  • @goldye777 a good way to help out the back is to get real flexible in the hamstrings then do slow dead lifts with perfect form and really light weight.

  • @pokemonandmusic this is really late but in the past 3 years i really hope that you learned that the arms are just as important as the legs while high jumping, i increased my personal best from 6'5'' to 7 ft. in one year and the arms ar a huge part in that....

    Nice Jump man!  Notice you are bailing in a bit at take off, and are taking off really close to the bar! If you use that same jump, use your arms for explosiveness, and take off about an arms length away from the bar (around 3 ft) I guarantee you will add some inches to your pr.

  • turn your head to the side and look over your shoulder as soon as you jump- make sure you turn it back and put your chin to your chest once you are over though because that'll bring your feet up
