Saw them at the 02 on Sunday, they were amazing!! still got it after 40 years!!
Most of the crowd were in their 50's to 60's and everyone was rocking out!
I feel so privelaged to be still be able to see these guys, the same band my dad saw when he was 15 (and i'm 18). They put on an incredible performance
@ ric60100 I SOOOO agree! I was searching for someone else a few minutes ago when they came up, N until then I'd never heard of 'em. I got curious, checked 'em out, N am being BLOWN AWAY!!! The remind me of Foghat, yet both bands are unique! Thank Goodness they came up in that search...
This was the first Quo tune I ever heard. Didn't have a clue who they were but really liked this song. Mind you I was only 4 at the time. I'm 43 now have have liked them ever since.
Makes me proud to be British and sad that St Albans town hall was full the night i went to see them there in the early seventies. When i did see them a couple of years later it was at Wembley Arena and everyone got up on their seats at the first note and didn't sit down again till the end.
20-year-old english guy from omegle I'm the 17-year-old girl from Greece.. Our conversation stopped by omegle's fault but this is my yt account.. msg me there if you see this :)
The first band of its kind I saw live in the Glasgow Apollo. I was taken in 1979 by my older brother, who is still a massive fan. It was a great concert for a teenager to see.
@ric60100 Disagree totally. I'm glad Rossi never made any sort of serious attempt to "conquer the States" It wouldn't have worked anyway, the lads are a bit too down to earth for that market. Anyway they belong to us in the Quo Army and nobody else.
@SuperGov07 Stuipid comment, they don't belong to anyone matey, they are a bloody rock band, and the more the merrier. Ask Rossi he'd like to have shifted 20 million albums in the USA - you already know the answer. They stood more chance after 1977 when their music became poppier and more mainstream - and dull.
Me & my mate used to cycle to school ( you heard that kids of today 'cycle') & he had an old tape deck strapped to the back with Quo blasting out 'down down', 'paper plane' etc those were the days!
I was lucky enough to see them live in the early days, with the original line up,saw them last summer at Rochester Castle, bloody good, but not quite the same.
The reason why the quo never hit in the states back in the seventies is that no rock n' roll of any real power and energy could be heard on the airwaves, or most anywhere, back then-- those were real mellow times in those days in america!! zeppelin, sabbath, and b.o.c. were pretty much cult bands, and ac/dc didn't even hit 'til 1980...
Awesome song, so much energy! They are one of my favorite bands ever. Such a shame they're underrated. They're brilliant, brilliant, brilliant . Totally in rock'n'roll!
@12quo don't get me wrong, I like this music, it's the kind of music I'd play while driving. But it doesn't really seem that heavy to me, I guess you old timers just found this stuff new and "hip". anyways, I used to be a big fan of van halen. do you anything against them? Eddie Van Halen has such good technical playing skills. he was perfect at incorporating finger tapping and natural harmonics into his songs.
Eddie Van Halen is an amazing guitarist! I don't have anything against them, I just know they've done some heavy songs. I should be listening to all this hip-hop shit, having grown up with it, but I just love the old stuff. I'm consantly playing Quo on guitar, so people definatly know I hate modern music.

I slid so easily from this to Eddie and the Hotrods, and from there to the Ramones. I just have to look at the dates on my 7" Singles. Rock n roll transcends everything.
Fantastic, they just dont make music that gets your head banging like this anymore, they were THE MASTERS at this type of rock, never mind the critics, in the 70s WE ALL LOVED IT !!!! long live Quo !!!
i first heard this song when i was about 5,and its my favourite quo song, but i cant catch some of the lyrics and so sing it to my mam with a lalalalala,in place of what ive learned of what ive heard, love it so much, takes me back, the best in my opinion.
Damn, this takes me back. I sang this song and played guitar with my first band when I was 12, 13 years old. We were like temporary little rock stars in our small town. The day after the gig people came up to my mom at the store asking if we'd really played live or if it was all just playback. Good times..... ;-)
This was the raw type of music that made Quo who they are and I agree 70 - 76 at their best. Went to see them 2 years ago after 25 years funny that most of the music was from that era!
