  • If you like this search "Status Quo - Paper Plane marquee". Live version , even better.(If that's possible!!!)

  • j'adore

  • reporting for duty "0li"

  • Saw them at the 02 on Sunday, they were amazing!! still got it after 40 years!!

Most of the crowd were in their 50's to 60's and everyone was rocking out!

I feel so privelaged to be still be able to see these guys, the same band my dad saw when he was 15 (and i'm 18). They put on an incredible performance

  • @ ric60100 I SOOOO agree! I was searching for someone else a few minutes ago when they came up, N until then I'd never heard of 'em. I got curious, checked 'em out, N am being BLOWN AWAY!!! The remind me of Foghat, yet both bands are unique! Thank Goodness they came up in that search...

  • One of my all time favs!!!

  • This is Rock N Roll

  • Really, really good!

  • Brilliant.

  • @Elvis4434 Elvis is too!

  • They take a lot of pisstake but none of it nasty, Rick and Francis are a national institution. They heven't been around for 87 years for nothing.

  • Yaaaaay! A Fender Mustang bass.

  • It is interesting how similar Status Quo are to Ramones and how few people see that.

  • @KazimirMajorinc Ramones similar to the Quo.. the Ramones were baby's when Quo formed

    .

    .

  • This was the first Quo tune I ever heard. Didn't have a clue who they were but really liked this song. Mind you I was only 4 at the time. I'm 43 now have have liked them ever since.

  • Makes me proud to be British and sad that St Albans town hall was full the night i went to see them there in the early seventies. When i did see them a couple of years later it was at Wembley Arena and everyone got up on their seats at the first note and didn't sit down again till the end.

  • I saw them in 197? one of the best live

  • 4 people are Justin Bastard fans.

  • I love the wall of amps behind them!!!

  • ROCKROCKROCKROCKROCKROCKROCK

  • nobody rocks like the fuckin QUO.....

  • A song about Mercedes-car, I think.

  • @Happies1888 ya

  • The first QUO song i heard. ROCKNFUCKINROLL i love this band

  • 3 dislikers are bieber fans.

  • brilliant !!

  • 3/4 chord wonders . . . . .

  • Started listening to the Quo on You Tube 12 months ago....still pissed and rockin 12 months later:)

  • Best rock boogie band ever. This is the classic line up and the best.

  • Fucking Brill

  • paper plane was a song when only aged 12 i remember we use to head bang to at youth club.having had we hair then ....

  • 21, seen status quo twice, and i fucking love it!

  • The first band of its kind I saw live in the Glasgow Apollo. I was taken in 1979 by my older brother, who is still a massive fan. It was a great concert for a teenager to see.

  • Can't get better than Quo!

  • Rossi was nearly a full-time ice cream man LOL

  • @MickeyLove01 LOL But then he fell in love with a Tele ♥

    LOL

  • @Keijz74 I heard about it when bbc radio 4 did a show on ice cream men

  • Them axes are chopping some heavy heavy chords woooooooooow yaaaa.

  • John Coghlan = DRUM MACHINE.

  • It's a shame they were never appreciatede in the States. A lot of people are missing out on a terrific rock band.

  • @ric60100 Disagree totally. I'm glad Rossi never made any sort of serious attempt to "conquer the States" It wouldn't have worked anyway, the lads are a bit too down to earth for that market. Anyway they belong to us in the Quo Army and nobody else.

  • @SuperGov07 Stuipid comment, they don't belong to anyone matey, they are a bloody rock band, and the more the merrier. Ask Rossi he'd like to have shifted 20 million albums in the USA - you already know the answer. They stood more chance after 1977 when their music became poppier and more mainstream - and dull.

  • One less chord then ZZ top yet 100x better (ZZ top are ace btw)

  • Brill song !! :)

  • The best tribute I can pay to this record is that if I don't turn my Logitech Z-10 speakers to minimum the walls vibrate.

  • Me & my mate used to cycle to school ( you heard that kids of today 'cycle') & he had an old tape deck strapped to the back with Quo blasting out 'down down', 'paper plane' etc those were the days!

  • Every time I watch this I try to X out of the box that comes up with the jeans saying Paper Plane at the start

  • :-)

  • I was lucky enough to see them live in the early days, with the original line up,saw them last summer at Rochester Castle, bloody good, but not quite the same.

  • SG and Tele mix does it for me! Riding in a 3 grand Deutsche car? That shows the age of the song, be more like 30 grand now!!

  • The reason why the quo never hit in the states back in the seventies is that no rock n' roll of any real power and energy could be heard on the airwaves, or most anywhere, back then-- those were real mellow times in those days in america!! zeppelin, sabbath, and b.o.c. were pretty much cult bands, and ac/dc didn't even hit 'til 1980...

  • love to wake up and be 1977 ,QUO all over again.(yeh in my dreams).

  • I feel sorry for the Yanks who never heard a real rock band like this.

  • Paper plane great air guitar track when i was a mere teen I still cant resist it at 50

  • love it :))))) happy times

  • Classic.

  • exceptional track.......

  • fuckin awesome, one of my favourite songs. It's powerful!!!!!!!

  • One song - many hits...

  • The pinacle of SQ

  • rock n roll at its best fantastic, (life long quo fan)

  • Why don't we hear bands with the same energy any longer ?

This is heavy stuff...beware of beeing addicted !

  • Possibly the most under rated band of all time. I'll never understand why they are not more popular in the states.

  • Awesome song, so much energy! They are one of my favorite bands ever. Such a shame they're underrated. They're brilliant, brilliant, brilliant . Totally in rock'n'roll!

  • Brilliant Song, Brilliant Band! Toooooooooo underrated by stupid people! Quo rock like fuck ;) rock on

  • the quo with what they do best!

  • No wonder I'm became a rocker - my favourite tune as a child.

  • Millions of thanks for adding this !

  • Beiber would be shakin like a Idaho corn weevil under the drum pedal. About to be crushed by true rock and talent.

  • The greatest track of all time

  • The greatest track of all time

  • I remember the first time I heard this, blew my friggin mind!!

  • In a thousand years they'll watch this to find out how to do it right.

  • Ah the callouses of youth :-))))

  • Still a fantastic song after all these years. The best one written by Rossi and Young. Classic !!!!

  • Man I love John's drumming!

  • Riding in a three grand Porche car! lol!

  • @mcquirke

    Deutche Car.

  • simply awesome so it is

  • Thank GOD I grew up in the 60's & 70's to jam to GREAT BRITISH BANDS LIKE "STATUS QUO, FAROUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @staples1962 Oh, I so agree with you!

  • can't wait to see them in glasgow in december

  • @staples1962 Lucky Bastard!

  • If Quo were a motorcycle they'd be a Triumph Bonneville: low tech and tons of grunt!

  • just magic

  • who wants to start a status quo tribute band so that we can show todays generation what real music is

  • One of Quo's greatest:)

  • perrona la rolita (Y) yea¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡ aunke me cagan los huevos los gringos

  • ABSOLUTELY BRILL...

  • Quo never had fans they had a f**king army, best rock group to come out of the Uk

  • I've seen all the groups from the 60 & 70' but they were far out the best, the most enrgetic, and the longest hair :::)) great guys !

  • Parfitt with a Gibson SG....Brilliant

  • Los mejores!!! Acojonante!!!!

  • Saw them at Festival Hall, Brisbane about '73 or '74 - went home deaf and no voice - what a rage that was!! Best headbangin ever!!

  • @MrPoorboy1958 would have been 1973 coz I saw them NZ that year. Hard to beat

  • @MrPoorboy1958 you people used to headbang to this...? this doesn't even seem that heavy..

  • @TasteForDisaster fuck man the quo invented headbanging

  • @TasteForDisaster yeh it's cool and they are LOUD also how they deliver their LIVE concert will get you OFF your ARSE !!!

  • @TasteForDisaster

Man, this is one of quo heavyest and loudest. If this is heavy enough for you, go and listen to Van Halen or somethin' like that.

  • @12quo don't get me wrong, I like this music, it's the kind of music I'd play while driving. But it doesn't really seem that heavy to me, I guess you old timers just found this stuff new and "hip". anyways, I used to be a big fan of van halen. do you anything against them? Eddie Van Halen has such good technical playing skills. he was perfect at incorporating finger tapping and natural harmonics into his songs.

  • @TasteForDisaster

Eddie Van Halen is an amazing guitarist! I don't have anything against them, I just know they've done some heavy songs. I should be listening to all this hip-hop shit, having grown up with it, but I just love the old stuff. I'm consantly playing Quo on guitar, so people definatly know I hate modern music.

  • @12quo There are soooooo many bands which play so much heavier then Van Halen...but they still rock. and the way you said it before, it sounded like you were implying that they suck.

  • @TasteForDisaster

No, but yes, there are some heavier bands like Iron Madien and Brain Johnson ACDC.

  • @12quo "brain johnson" is only a member of ac/dc and to be honest I prefer their older singer much more, I guess most people do, it's a shame he died. and ac/dc isn't always heavy enough to head bang to.

  • @TasteForDisaster

ACDC with Bon Scott was always better, that was just rock and roll, no Heavy Metal or Hard Rock.

  • @TasteForDisaster listen to Thin LIzzy ,all your problems wiil be solved .!!

  • @1jackiea I do listen to them.

  • yes yes yes!!!!,what a band,what a fuckin tune!!!!

  • Started listening to them when I was 5. Still like it !

Deam, I never thought about it, but the best music is always from UK (I wonder what am I doing in LV now)

  • The greatest ever...................

  • i just bout remeber this hit

  • @pratt11111

You'd be a Pratt to forget it !

  • That's the less "unlikes" I've ever seen. And it's still too much

  • Saw "Quo" around this time (poss 1971-2) superb...

  • I slid so easily from this to Eddie and the Hotrods, and from there to the Ramones. I just have to look at the dates on my 7" Singles. Rock n roll transcends everything.

  • the best rock &roll band ever !

  • STATUS QUO ROCK THE FUCKING WORLD YEAH! I LOVE THEM AND THIS IS THE BEST SONG EVER! WOOOOOOOOOOOOH!

  • The drummer looks like Andreas Kisser (Sepultura)... STATUS QUO RULES!!! thats really Rock N Roll!!! \o/

  • St Andrews Hall Norwich circa 1973 - what a night! Couldn't hear for 3 days afterwards but what a great Quo track!

  • Thank You "Status Quo"....for All the nice Party´s with You !....over 38 years...is a VERRY long Party ! :-))))

  • QUO-at their best!!

  • Damn, this takes me back. I sang this song and played guitar with my first band when I was 12, 13 years old. We were like temporary little rock stars in our small town. The day after the gig people came up to my mom at the store asking if we'd really played live or if it was all just playback. Good times..... ;-)

  • Cant beat Ricky's right arm-

the ONLY rock & roll guitarist.

  • Fucking brilliant, this is pure energy. Can't sit still when listening to that great tune!

  • @immerrocknroll No it is pretty much impossibe to sit still!!! My favorite of them all with SQ

  • the best version i ever heard

  • Absolute classic.

    Brilliant upload. Thanks!

  • ME I LIKE!!

    They are so avsom

  • Quo at thier absolute zenith...what a shame they never called it a day in 76...instead of going on to become a bit of a sad joke.

  • This was the raw type of music that made Quo who they are and I agree 70 - 76 at their best. Went to see them 2 years ago after 25 years funny that most of the music was from that era!

  • yeah, it's good they aint made any new rubbish music like some musicians do
