I am confused with the setting.. how do i go from clean to distortion or distortion to clean without altering the volume significantly and just by using the - + buttons?
what kind of lag? every time you switch patch? or just when you connect to usb?.. i plan on gettting this and pair it with HT-DUAL.. i want to sell my BossME50 and replace with VoxToneLab and later add the BackstarHT-DUAL up front.. you think its worth it?.. i already know the answer i just whatn to know what u guys think..
how good is it for recording?? Do you get a nice sound if you use it? And what about the usb? O how do you suggest to do it? And, I repeat, HOW GOOD IS IT FOR RECORDING??
hey i have this and im really confused and have made due with what this thing has given me. anytime i turn on the amp/cabinets, there is no sound whatsoever, but when i turn them off, all i get is a clean sound, and don't even get me started on trying to fix gain, treble, etc.. but im able to use the pedal effects, reverb, and mod/delay for my needs up until now, but i really want to get this figured out. i can't for example use wah and distortion, i can only have either/or.. :/ please help..
if u have the cash i would recommend the new boss gt10 for it's amazing functions, or the podx3. if u're thinking of saving money, this would be good enough. i personally prefer the tones in the tonelab st than my friend's boss me50. just my opinion.
Is this tonelab good for silent homeplaying when connected headphones only?? Or it's good only when connected to an amp (combo) or computer? What is the sound quality when only headphones (no amps, no computer, headphones only) and guitar are connected to the Tonelab??? It's really important for me to know!
for live i would suggest podxt cos it's got more functions. but for simplicity and home use tonelab st would be good. but i played live with tonelab st before. it's not bad.
@simplemelodia Pod has more features, but the Vox is way more organic sounding. With pods, you find you need to warm them up with a tube preamp or something otherwise they're a bit sterile. The vox does less, but does it more organically - it has a tube preamp. Ask yourself how many sounds do you really use? It's quality vs quantity really, trust your ears - if it sounds good, it is good.
i just got one of these not too long ago, but i've discovered a problem. the amp presets on the top aren't working. i have read the manual and have tried every button on the panel. all i get is a clean sound. i can use the expression pedal, the mod, and the delay, but only with the clean sound. the gain, treble, middle, bass, and volume knobs at the top panel have no affect on my guitar. it just stays in the clean sound. help please?
did u turn the chicken head knobs to the desired amp model? cabinet can be optional for now. try turning up the gain to max if u're using a distorted amp.
yeah, i tried setting the amp model to US HIGAIN and then turned up the gain and set the knobs the way i think they would sound good, and it was still the standard clean sound.
hi i've not used garage band because i dont own a mac, but i guess u could because what u'll need is basically a recording software, and the usb cable into comp.
imo the floor pod plus has more functions and stuff. more amp and cab models, has stereo output. but it's load bigger so u might want to consider mobility.
tone wise i cant comment cos i've not tried the pod plus.
hey man could you pleas tell me if the delay will allow you to do dotted 8th note??? like the big sur moon track by buckethead??? everyone i ask dont bother there arse to reply -_-
hi the delay functions in this pedal are very primitive. personally i dont play around much with delay and dotted eights.
u can't control the decay time value and also the pattern of delays. there's only a tap tempo, and a mix control which controls the volume of the delay. other than that, nothing much.
but i guess by tweaking it well, increase the volume and stuff, u could probably get something close to big sur moon.
i'll do another video soon with pure single coils, and probably more sounds. it's one great piece of multiefx pedal to use! i'll post my settings soon when i've got time too! thanks!

@SkidKid21 lol, maybe you forgot the amp&cab dials?, maybe they have separate volume bass mid treble knobs you could tweak or something?,.

Dude, you should really buy a boss ME-70. It's mindblowing, but hey, that's just my opinion.

Great playing man, but I'd suggest cutting back on the echo a little bit with your lead settings, it's muddying up your tone.
