  • @tpmtv good job not showing Newt's response dumb bitches. Waxman got his ass handed to him, but you cock suckers wouldn't want to be honest and show that would you?

  • Gingrich is nothing more than an American embarrassment. He's got no morals what-so-ever and will say and do anything for his Corp kickbacks. He's a phony POS and like all Republicans, he kneels at the alter of Corp America.

  • Waxman is an idiot. When you watch the full back and forth you see Waxman just dismisses all of the facts Gingrich brings up about how the climate catastrophe is bullshit without counter-arguing any of them.

  • The interesting thing that nobody seems to bring up, is that the electricity generators that produce all or a substantial portion of their electricity with renewables, WILL NOT PAY A DIME TO CAP AND TRADE. So you, the CUSTOMER, WILL NOT PAY A DIME EITHER. In fact, they should be able to sell credits and be well profitable and therefore more competitive.

  • There are two links along the right that contains the full exchange between Gingrich and Waxman. There you will see Gingrich hit back pretty hard.

  • The GOP is really pulling out all the stops to smear what is considered by most everyone with a BRAIN, esp. those who've actually done unbiased studies on the topic, to be a very good program with much-lower costs than simple command-and-control regulation. Why can't they just ADMIT that cap and trade works? Or at least admit that it IS a market-based program.

It's NOT some "giant energy tax" or "socialist" in any way. The very notions are just silly and misinformed.

  • @whoo689 the cap and trade side needs to start FIGHTING for this program! We need to bring out the big guns and stop cowering in fear. This is nothing to be afraid of. It's a good program, and those who believe in it must defend it. Defend it from the lies. Defend it from those who'd rather just let business run roughshod over the environment and DO NOTHING about pollution. I mean, what IS the solution from guys like Inhofe, who DENY global warming is even partly man-made?

  • @whoo689 We need to INFORM the people about the actual costs and benefits of this program, instead of letting the Right monopolize this debate. it's fucking ridiculous. Don't let teabaggers tell you it's some giant energy tax or other uninformed BS about its effects. Tell them the TRUTH about it. Educate the American people on this. This is not gonna cause Armageddon for christ sake. Even the Kyoto Protocol, which could have some big costs, would only cost, in the end, $300 Billion.

  • @whoo689 $300 Billion in a 14 TRILLION economy. That's not even 10%! C&T will cost far less. So why the bitching? God forbid polluters actually start PAYING for their pollution instead of being let off the hook and screw up our air all they want.

  • The kind of sky-is-falling scenario that Republicans claim will happen under cap and trade NEVER has happened in the history of these programs! Why would it start now? The opposition to this is nonsense, and many, if not most, of the studies on it are done using either bad data, arriving at bad conclusions, or they take the worst-case scenarios and say "THIS might happen if we impose the program."

come on... Let's get back to reality. Restore sanity. C&T is not some blood-sucking demon.

  • Laffer study?? You mean ART Laffer, the same idiot who proposed supply-side tax cuts as a way to stimulate the economy and "trickle down" economics which clearly DON'T work and have yet to be proven? yeah... I'm gonna trust HIS judgment on cap and trade. Oh, please.

Republicans either have a short memory or a bunch of dumbfucks on this issue. NONE of what they're saying about the alleged apocalyptic effects of cap and trade WILL COME TRUE! They didn't come true for any other cap and trade.

  • @whoo689 Since the 1990s, we've had a very successful SO2 emissions-trading system. Various states have had their own programs as well with varying degrees of success. But the idea that this will be some kind of GIANT ENERGY TAX is ludicrous and baseless. Maybe it would be a "giant energy tax" if the EPA said "You can only emit this much CO2", but that's NOT the point of the program! The point of a market-based program like cap n trade is FLEXIBILITY. To allow credits to be bought and sold

  • @whoo689 NOWHERE has cap and trade been the kind of disaster that Republicans today are portraying it as. What about EMISSIONS TRADING and SELLABLE credits don't these dimwits understand? This is not a simple command-and-control program! If you're a big business that can afford to reduce pollution, you will do so and sell the credits. DUH. You're not gonna just willy-nilly raise energy rates 3 grand a year for consumers.

    God, these people are idiots.

  • Al Gore & Corporate friends set to make billions off of the Global Warming Scam

Al Gore is chairman and founder of a private equity firm called Generation Investment Management (GIM). According to Gore, the London-based firm invests money from institutions and wealthy investors in companies that are going green. Generation Investment Management, purchases -- but isnt a provider of -- carbon dioxide offsets

  • Capping Prosperity: watch?v=SqsvKCRdomg

  • Slap down? what are you talking about. I saw the whole debate. You shouldn't be cutting the video to make it look as though the Waxman has a brain. Newt, was talking in rebut to Waxman's statement and Waxman then even tried to stifle Newt and Waxman got his hat handed to him.

  • Waxman you couldn't spank your own monkey, even if you could find it.

  • Waxman, you look "Porky the Pig"!!! Abea-abea-abea-abea, That's All Folks, for Henry Waxman in the next election.

  • a problem is that the republicans have jerks like gingrich leading instead of ron paul. this cap and trade is a scan to rip of productive workers. but we need real patriots and the weekly standerd

  • No Waxman spanks his monkey behind those closed door meeting with Nancy.

  • he DOES look like a rat. @_@

  • some smack down. waxman was right about one thing, the numbers were not true. turns out they are TOO LOW!

  • hey folks. there is a reason Waxman was part of the Waxman-Markey climate control bill that passed the house is because both Waxman and Markey while the bill was bring written invested BIG TIME in the companies that would be profiting when this bill passes.

  • Watch the whole debate, and you will see that Newt owns that little rat!!!!!!!

  • waxman is a human piggy. oink oink piggy waxman! VOTE THE BUMS OUT!

  • We have gone from a Republic (best), to a Democracy (not so good), to an Oligarchy. It's an Oligarchy because we have witnessed the Democratic leadership and top elite lean so heavily on the members of Congress for their votes that the members are actually voting for bills which the majority of their constituents oppose. This to me sounds a lot like how the American Revolution got started. These guys are kneeling to the Kings and Queens of Washington, and it's NOT SUPPOSED TO BE THIS WAY!

  • Waxman got onwed in this exchange!! Why only show two minutes of a ten minute exchange in which, Waxman wants to punish the american taxpayer??

Watch the whole thing, this is a bad attempt at a lie.

  • Umm I watched the full exchange of these two prior to watching this fragment and clearly Rep. Waxman is the individual that gets smacked down. Anyone seriously interested in this debate should watch the full conversation.

  • this is only a small portion of the hearing. and if you watch it, waxman get slammed by newt

  • fuck you waxballs jew .hold on where getting fucked

  • ganggritch=lying, 2 faced, chickin shit, wife cheating slut. a real repug. why the fuck is he even washingtion.

  • waxman lied, he had already read the cbo's classified report that said it was going to cost every family 1800 dollars. Him and the president were keeping it hush hush. Scamsters.

newt gingrich is about 1000 times smarter than this pignosed moron.

  • Your a moron! Everyone now knows that Al Gore is full of shit and the Weather Channel wants to sue Al Dope over his inconvenient lies!

  • amen to that

  • Yeah we have this idiot and pelosi and boxer. No wonder why cali is bankrupt. The highest taxed and regulated state in the country. Is obama so ignorant that he cannot see the fact that the california

model is a failure. So why is he trying to model the entire u.s.a. after the dismal california economy, high taxes and regulation.

He wants a financially weak u.s.a. which cannot consume many goods and pollute with fossilfuels. I think i want to sock u boxer and pelosi

  • Actually one of the biggest issues in Cali is the prop13 and increasing expenses-unions, illegals, entitlements.

  • I think i believe gingrich. sorry i voted for that faggot obama. He said he was going to do a good job and represent all of americans but he lied. He is pushing this bill which has nothing to do with the environment but is all about raising taxes, expanding gov., and being more controlling of americans lives. We need a revolt of the radical big government politicians. Ill sock you pelosi.

  • No Waxman! We dont even want a little bit of Nazi Tax on energy, not even a little one. Screw Dr Riley and you Waxman!

  • these democrats are lieing again liers. Again!!!

  • $3,000 increase a year on your electic bill and thats not including natural gas and gasoline. Gasoline would be 10 upwards to 20 dollars a gallon. This would cause hyper inflation on grocieries and everything shipped.

  • Smack down? I must have missed it. All I heard was Waxman trying to do damage control and do the usual spin. "Read my purple lips". That's funny!

  • What smackdown? When more small businesses go bancrupt as they can't afford to pay their power bill, we know who to thank. Thanks Mr. Waxman you socialist. Ironic how the biggest proponents of these crazy bills are from California. CA is the toilet financially. Small wonder with roaches like this guy in charge.

  • waxman is a little weasel , fuck him and the libs

  • damn waxman and his updated sources!!

  • Hey, what ever happened to BO's read my purple lips, no new taxes if you make under 250K pledge??? Cap and trade would be a huge tax on everyone.

  • OMG!, no it wouldn't raise your taxes. The most that is would raise is $174.00 a year. $14.50 a month and that does not include the saving that will we will receive through new enery innovations.

"There is a principle which is a bar against all information, which is proof against all arguments and which can not fail to keep a man in everlasting ignorance. That principle is "Contempt Prior to Investigation." B.B., Page 570

  • Really? Are you sure? What's your proof...before its too late

  • The proof is how the bill is written. Both Waxman and Markey talk extensively about the grants that are going in to new technology. I have listened to the GOP Congressmen talk on and on about how it could cost a homeowner up to $3,000 a year home energy. Both Waxman and Markey have flat out said that the GOP is using this as a scare tactic and there is absolutly no factual basis to it. They talk about the cost, but not about other forms of energy that will bring the costs down.

  • Ok...these numbers address the impact on energy consumed and that increase. There will be the ripple effect on all products and services that use energy. The CRAPnTrade costs will be passed on to all users of these products. This has to be considered a tax...

  • waxman is a dick - pure and simple.

  • Gingrich is RIGHT! He's sometimes a real blowhard and I don't agree with him on too many things, but on this one HE's RIGHT!

Further, what is all of this crap anyway? The premise that Co2 causes climate change is a LIE!

Search "Global Warming Truth" and see all of the science. Even NASA has come out with GOOD science which now PROVES that Co2 does NOT cause climate change. Al Gore is now being sued by over 31 thousand scientists and climatologists for his FRAUD, i.e., Co2 = climate change.

  • Not exactly a "smack down"--and the fact you don't show Gingrich's response tells me Waxman is the one who got smacked down. It doesn't matter if the monetary costs are off. This is about power and control, not JUST expensive new taxes. You'll now have to open your home to government inspectors to "certify" your home before you can sell it. And all of this Crap & Trade will NOT affect climate in any MEASURABLE way! You've been scammed to make Al Gore and GE rich. Happy "Independence" Day peeps!

  • Don't let the suburbs turn into slums guys. Buy the land & start farming to feed the cities." Blessed are the meek". Collective farming can save America!

  • Let me just say this the fed. Gov. own model called the MAGGIC says that this bill will reduce global warming by a mere 0.07 of a degree by 2050. This is the most destructive legislation in history not to mention the biggest tax hike and regulation on your life your ever see. All for 0.07 of a degree! This is a farce and a power play by Congress for more control over your lives. Wake up people!

  • Perhaps the love-struck should actually read the 1400+ page bill. Jump to P. 467...next time you try to get an appliance fixed and the repair guy tells you he can't, you have to buy a new energy-efficient model (for which he will receive a bounty payment). Wake up. This will not save the Planet! More government waste and control of our lives.

  • Cap and trade will cost Americans 25% more for energy. Common Sense people.

The Company A that pollutes less will sell the right to pollute more to Company B. Company A will not pass the savings onto the consumer. Company B will probably end up polluting more, and pass that cost directly onto the consumer.

Obama has admitted himself, that the cost of energy has to go up for this to work.

This is just another money grab by big business.

We should have caps not trades.

  • These delusional demorats with their cap and trade crap will cost jobs and raise all of our electric bills. This is indisputable. Lousy, scumbag demorats!

  • The most a year your energy bill will be raised $174. And that does not include what you will SAVE because of the new energy innovations that this bill supports. Before going off about one part of the bill, look at the WHOLE bill and what it does. Please get off Fox News and actually watch these subcommittee hearings. All interested parties, i.e. the coal companies, oil companies, green job companies, etc. have been included and recgonized with their cooncerns. Stop the fear mongering! Pathetic!

  • I would hardly call Waxman's BS a smack down. Newt can handle this Waxman boob with one hand behind his back. Waxman is a joke, people of CA should be ashamed sending this idiot back every two years. No wonder your state is in the shape it's in.

  • Waxman is Batboy, check out Enquirer archives...

  • Why don't you cut our energy bill by 40cents a day Waxman you weasel.

  • watch(from january 2008 in his own words)

"under my plan of a cap and trade system, electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket"-barack obama january 2008

"Obama:my plan makes electrcity rates skyrocket"

on youtube. proof positive who he cares about. banksters.

  • carbon whore algore loves to bullshit people about how he pays "offsets" for his big fat cabon footprint. he pays these "carbon offsets" to "generation investment management" headquartered in London. he conveniently forgets to tell us that HE is the chairman of generation investment management. so, he pays from his right pocket, and it goes into his left pocket.

  • Hmmmm. I wonder how every single American family is going to pay an extra 23,000 dollars a year?

Didn't Obama say no new taxes? Then what the hell is this? This is probably the largest tax increase in the history of America!

  • Waxman you need to step down,Stop the terrorism, stop the global warming scam, Audit the Federal Reserve, Goto Campaign for Liberty Website. The rush is on to collapse the econnomy.

  • The oil companies have you brainwashed! Markey and Waxman have been working on this legislation for years and it is very comprehesive. Get all your facts on the bill before going off and sounding like a clown!

  • Why would anyone want to pass this now? In THIS economy?

  • Less then forty cents per day, it will cost us?

Why are people for being taxed more then they already are?

  • Wow Waxman is a moron.

  • Waxman layeth the smacketh down!

  • Waxman was so mad when John Bohner...spent time going over this at the end. The Democraps submitted a 300 page amendment at 3:09 am the morning of this meeting and did NOT want them to read the amendment. He was mad when Bohner went over it...BOHNER FOR PRESIDENT!

  • Waxman couldn't smack down his own monkey.

The fact is, there's no way to ascertain how much this lunacy would cost EVERYONE if it should become law, because it's not the people being taxed - not, directly, at least. It's industry, agriculture, energy, etc., that will be taxed, and as always, the consumer will pay the difference. No one in our society REALLY pays a tax except the private citizen.

No way around it, This is a heinous scam - an indirect, ENORMOUS new tax on all citizens.

  • @Contontos re:"No one in our society REALLY pays a tax except the private citizen."

That's the way it was designed to operate when the Federal Reserve was created in 1913. Read the book, "The Creature from Jekyll Island: A Second Look at the Federal Reserve". Real eye opener.

  • @ghendric

There's no "design" to it. Of course the consumer pays the taxes because no one else has to as long as they charge consumers a cost of any kind. he who pays, pays.

"The Creature from Jekyll Island: A Second

Look at the Federal Reserve". Real eye opener."

Uhhh... sure. Thanks anyway, Ron Paul.

  • @Contontos That book was written by G. Edward Griffin and has references to sources from where the research was done to write the book. This system only works as long as the people stay stupid. So are you stupid? Or do you want to know the truth? Research it yourself if you want to know..

  • @ghendric

    So are you stupid?

Ah, trick question. If I say no and continue a conversation with you, I contradict myself.

Or do you want to know the truth?

On this topic, I know enough to ignore that goofy book. (Look out! There's one under your bed!)

Research it yourself if you want to know.

I just researched this dialogue to see if this might be the first time there' might be something to learn from someone who spends a lot of time posting at YouTube. - And how do you think that went?

  • LOL Where did he smack him down? Talk about being blind and skewed

  • I'm failing to see how Waxman smacked down anyone.

  • OBAMA I will not rase your taxes BULL!

  • Obama CRAP AND TRAITOR

  • WTF? The title of this video is misleading, waxman didnt slam down ginrich.

  • PEOPLE CALL YOUR SENATORS, it has just passed the house BUT NOT YET THE SENATE, FLOOD THEM WITH CALLS OR DONT CRY ABOUT BEING HOMELESS LATER, ITS ECONOMIC SUICIDE!

  • Waxman didn't slap anyone down. That idiot admitted that he didn't even read this bill and HE SPONSORED IT. He is right about one thing. The $3,000 per year number is wrong. It is WAY low. That doesn't even cover the increase in direct taxes much less the cost of living increase resulting from the price of EVERYTHING skyrocketing because of the increased tax on manufacturing and transpostation of goods. Electric up 90%, gas up 55%, gasoline up 74%, GDP will drop by almost 10%. It is a disaster.

  • so true...lol

  • I would like to declare June 27 as burn a tire day!

  • the government is becoming tyranny vote out them idiots out, if they voted yes on cap and trade, bailouts or stimulus bill

vote them all out, we need a less power hungry governement. does not matter dem or reb vote them out

  • Hmmm.... less than 40 cents per day? Well... that doesn't sound too bad. Only $150 dollars per year.... sure I can afford that I ... I... no.... wait... thats right... I can't afford shit these days! I can barely afford to feed my family! My grocery bill in the last year alone went from $100/week to $175/ week for the same damn food. I guess I just have to fast for that one week with Cap and Trade huh? Is that right Mr. Rat FACE!

  • ITS WAY MORE THEN 40cents a day, they are telling the whole thing, how many pages is it? Then they added 300 pages to it at 3am in the morning, no ones had time to read it and thats what happened with the stimulous and these liars sit in with congress and TRY to persuade them (because THEY will GAIN) but dont REALLY go into what it will cost the people thousands of dollars a year with all thats combined they are "concealing the costs" because its not their problem

  • How does the bill stop big corporations from buying smaller ones that can't afford this, thus making them monopolies and so rich they can ignore the cap and do the complete opposite?

  • Waxman is some kind of bat creature.

  • He needs to support the bill so that monopolies form and ignore the cap, the planet grows darker and warmer, and like a bat, he feels at home in his cave world.

  • makes sense to me

  • I say NO to 'Cap and Tryanny.... oh, I mean 'Trade.'

  • The so called progressive mentality in America is not stupid. They have an agenda of which their cap & trade program is a key part. In truth the bill should be termed TAX & CONTROL.

  • terrible title>>>>no to cap and tax!

  • Amazing how tightly edited this is. Selectively, one might say.

Reilly's study says it is $3,900 in taxes. Reilly's complaint was that Republicans questioned the Democratic will to return $3,200 of that to the people.

Yes, how dare they? How indeed...

  • You have the title wrong, it should read Gingrich Smacks Down Waxman On Cap-And-Trade Talking Point

  • Regretfully, TPM did not see fit to air the entire exchange between Waxman and Gingrich. Had they employed honest editing, it would have been painfully clear, even to the least educated viewer, that Gingrich won the day.

Mr. Waxman wants to punish the American people in order to get them to toe the line. Mr. Gingrich prefers to reward the American people because, after all, America is a country of, by and for the people. A simple phrase, coined by President Lincoln, that sounds like freedom.

  • Its clear that technology is key to reducing greenhouse gas emissions in the electric generation sector. And while HR 2454 provides significant funding for carbon capture and storage technologies, the bills initial cap and timeline could act as a deterrent for bringing these technologies to the marketplace. We get into greater detail about this on our blog, Behind the Plug, if youre interested.

  • look at the whole hearing and you will see waxman got beat down lol. he didn't want gingrich to speak.lol waxman is a dumbass.

  • Waxman just passed a $700 billion bill without reading it. That's a complete joke and shameful.

I'm not familiar with the study they were referring to in this interview but what I do know is that Gingrich was 100% right on everything else in that hearing. If he's wrong here then so be it but Newt really is an intelligent man.

  • Cheer-on liberals, declare your enemies of the state, just like your forefathers cheered on the 'Committee of Public Safety' in late 1700's France. You think Waxman or any liberal democrat is looking out for you?

  • It seems that the discourse has degenerated again to a cat fight between ideologies. So...BACK ON TOPIC: The point of this video is that we need a single agreed upon estimate of the cost.

  • PIGSNOUTMAAAAASK.

  • the way I see this: the Left has No business, leaving the leadership of an issue that is so vital, to the continued insurance that the Sun will rise each morning, to someone who bears such a striking resemblance to the Trix Rabbit; by the same token: the R's don't need to keep throwing that Creepy Newt Gingrich at their biggest fights, esp. given the fact that his level of crediblity is as worthy of respect as a "What do you get when you cross Barney Frank with a CPS worker" joke is Funny.

  • You so right freedompatriot, this is the tactic of never putting anything into context that the left uses.

  • No kidding, Gingrich always strikes fear into liberals when he speaks, as they know their best propagandist will be bitch slapped into oblivion!

  • Examples?

  • [chirp, chirp...Chrip]

    LOL

  • Gingrich rip his ass hole with facts just before you cut the video... Nice try liberal.

  • Right on FredomsPatriot! I too saw the...shall we say: the rest of the video. Waxman's proably still walking funny after that engagement.

  • Gingrich is a genius and the best debater I can think of these days!

Z-o6..? another thing we agree on, I own a ZR-1.

  • Can someone explain why so many members of the left resort to insults, innuendo, hate, bigotry, and displays such as Sen. Waxman's??

pezcore66 said, "ha! pick up a book would ya ? or didnt they teach ya that in the armed forces?" and "maybe you should ask one that fought in WW2 who they were fighting. THE FAR RIGHT NAZI FASCISTS!" I'm assuming that this person has not used the resource some of us like to refer to as the "Internet" (not the one invented by Gore). WW2 Fascists were left-wing.

  • oh, and next time.. maybe you should pick a group that didnt state almost over and over again how much they hated communists and the idea of communism before labling it 'leftist'. ha! pick up a book would ya ? or didnt they teach ya that in the armed forces?

  • WHY SHOULD THIS BULLSHIT INVISIBLE TAX COST THE TAXPAYER ONE CENT! You want to pay a freakin carbon tax go ahead, I'm not paying one cent. You Dems don't think that's fair?Well guess what, CHINA and INDIA will be pumping out 5X's the carbon of the united states while you are paying your invisible tax to stop what exactly?..Global Warming? What's wrong with implemented corporate regulation on carbon?Do you think the Gov is going to spend this tax money on saving the earth?Well you pay, I'll boycot

  • For the whimsical title of this video, I still don't see how it justifies raising our energy costs

  • Those voters are in complete violation of the law, they recieve kick backs from politicians for their votes. In turn the politicians use there power over the taxes to forcable take the money from the working class to pay for the promises to welfare class. Direct payment for a vote! This is conflict of interest! Just as Jefferson stated those who own property should be allowed to vote.

  • The people have a right to revolt against this government. Why: The politicians (the people are truely the government) have hi jacked the congress and the POTUS with votes from people who mostly do not pay taxes, who do not own property and who do rely heavily on government paid welfare. They ( the welfare hacks) expect the working, tax paying class to support them. Well the working tax paying class is tried of try to be successful only to have it taken away at gun point! Time to point back!

  • Arondeus stated :"No, he isn't a Socialist ... " OK, if he is not a socialist then what is OSAMA? The truth is he is a puppet for Pelosi, who is a communist dictator. He does not think for himself and can not make a decision on his own. Can you prove one decision he has made? Can you show one campaign promise he kept? He hasn't because his job is do what Pelosi and Sorros tell him to do.

And yes, it is the right of the people to revolt agaist a government that goes against the constitution.

  • Then why didn't you revolt against Bush/Cheney?

  • Because they made logical choices and well mostly successful in every endeavor. They got the job done, no suicide bombers on my street.

  • incognito9887 - that should be "whom to believe"

  • ok.. so why don't we see Gingrich's reply where he refutes Waxman?

  • Yeah honestly, there was a full 3 minute response to this by Gingrich that totally shredded Waxman. Guess it's nice to pick and choose what you include in your clips eh?

  • FreedomsPatriot "1st with tea bags, next with lead, rope and BLOOD! "

You may be labeled as a Right Wing Terrorist!!! Just like the rest of us Texans!!!

God Bless Texas, the last frontier of American Freedom!

Democarts are only about controll over the people.

And yes, CSPAN video archives and watch

NWET put the board in its place!

  • Agreed Gunslinger, the idiot liberals forget who is the best armed State also! It seems their liberal diseased minds also include a need to commit suicide by stupidity!

  • Waxman is a liberal joke! Go watch the entire meeting, Gingrich bitch slapped the idiot into yesterday with only his witt!

  • The 2nd American Revolution is coming. We will put pig noses like waxman out on a rail, tar and feathered.

  • 1st with tea bags, next with lead, rope and BLOOD!

  • $0.40 per day, Rep. Waxman says.

That $146.00 per year per family to "change" our ecology despite the fact that our impact is minimal.

I thought Democrats were supposed to help families, not make life even more expensive.

  • They will save 1000$ a year, so just make the math...

  • You want them to make up the math, just like Gore does?

Solar is almost 5 times more expensive than coal, per kilowatt hour. Who do you think pays for that?

  • Newt got owned!!

  • nice editing. Maybe you should show the entire video. It is dishonest not to include the response to your point and it highlights the weakness of your own argument.

Put an an un-edited version up where the response to waxmans assertions can be seen.

  • Don't worry. Phase I of the hypocritical liberal ousting begins next year.

That stunt with the plane in NYC yesterday is a shining example of the stupidity of this administration and everyone should get used to it for a while.

You can't really expect much from a dope who gives the Queen of England an Ipod !! What did he download on it ? Run DMC ? Maybe something from England , like Sex Pistols or Ozzy ???

  • we need to deport all liberals they are a disgrace to the USA. Take that change and get out of our country and take your mutt of a president with you.

  • Nah, I think we'll stay ... but you can leave when Texas secedes ... oh, wait, they just asked for federal help with the swine flu and new floods ... well, you can stay but you'll have to accept that we're in power now and it looks like we will be for awhile.

  • you are a liberal homo!

  • No, I'm a PROUD Liberal Homo.

  • your a conservative redneck

  • Well since Texas pays far more in the US than all the liberal welfare sucking states combined, it is more like "give us back some of our own money!

  • I would gladly pay Texas to leave ... it's a deal! When do you leave? Let's go, I'm willing to make that deal ... stop talking shit and DO IT. I WANT you to go, I'll PAY you.

The threats are light, all bark, no bite ... deep in the heart of Texas!

  • Arondy, make sure you take yourself to an atheist built hospital when you get sick since most of the illegal aliens and plugged up all the rest hypocrite!

BTW dumbass, I'll give you an email to send a check too or are you a liar too?

    Thomas Jefferson

The doctrines of Jesus are simple, and tend to all the happiness of man.

Of all the systems of morality, ancient or modern which have come under my observation, none appears to me so pure as that of Jesus.

  • "I have examined all the known superstitions of the world & I do not find

in our particular superstition of Christianity one redeeming feature. They

are all alike founded on fables and mythology. Millions of innocent men, women and children, since the introduction of Christianity, have been burnt, tortured, fined & imprisoned. What has been the effect of this coercion? To make one half the world fools & the other half hypocrites; to

support roguery and error all over the earth." Jefferson

  • "The doctrine of the divinity of Jesus is made a convenient cover for absurdity." John Adams

"This would be the best of all possible worlds if there were no religion in it"

    John Adams

"Lighthouses are more useful than churches"

    Benjamin Franklin

Do you want to continue quote-mining, moron?

  • "I have examined all religions, as well as my narrow sphere, my straightened means, and my busy life, would allow; and the result is that the Bible is the best Book in the world. It contains more philosophy than all the libraries I have seen." December 25, 1813 letter to Thomas Jefferson

"Without Religion this World would be Something not fit to be mentioned in polite Company, I mean Hell." [John Adams to Thomas Jefferson, April 19, 1817] |

  • John Quincy Adams:

Why is it that, next to the birthday of the Savior of the world, your most joyous and most venerated festival returns on this day [the Fourth of July]?" Is it not that, in the chain of human events, the birthday of the nation is indissolubly linked with the birthday of the Savior? That it laid the cornerstone of human government upon the first precepts of Christianity"?

--1837, at the age of 69, when he delivered a Fourth of July speech at Newburyport, Massachusetts.

  • God governs in the affairs of man. And if a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without his notice, is it probable that an empire can rise without His aid? We have been assured in the Sacred Writings that except the Lord build the house, they labor in vain that build it. I firmly believe this. I also believe that, without His concurring aid, we shall succeed in this political building no better than the builders of Babel

    Constitutional Convention of 1787

    Benjamin Franklin (original manuscript)

  • Quit twisting Jefferson's word too you false liberal propagandist.

"I am a real Christian, that is to say, a disciple of the doctrines of Jesus." [Letter to Benjamin Rush April 21, 1803]

It [the Bible] is a document in proof that I am a real Christian, that is to say, a disciple of the doctrines of Jesus."

[Jan 9, 1816 Letter to Charles Thomson]

  • We can do this all day, you know ... and it won't prove a damn thing.
