  • first time ive seen them ask anna

  • I really hope black, white, camel and khaki are not her favorite colors overall....I love a good neutral, but come on...

  • I absolutely love Phoebe at Celine...especially after the Ivana Omazic disaster. She truly creates garments that women want to wear, but didn't know it. Its not too obviously "fashion"...its just chic. I love minimalism, and Phoebe gives us a new, and body conscious, take on it.

  • what was the fourth colour she mentioned? carkey?!

  • @jekkvalle caqui...=)

  • Too skinny models !

  • the dress at 1:30 is exquisite. like it's painted on her body. can't have a fat belly for that attire XD

  • Nice colection a little bit too minimalist for my taste, eventhough i love Phoebe's work for Chloé I think nobody can replace Michael Kors in Celine, and maube that's the reason why not one of the recent designers hav had success, however i recently see the pre fall 2010 colection and it's beautiful.

  • As much as i love this collection, and its so right and relevant on so many levels(i.e simple leather tees and shifts) I can see some serious pre-designer referencing, the black and white stripe dress is PRADA s/s 09, leather cropped coverups are RAF, trench dress BURBERRY, pleat skirts Prada Resort,

I do love this Collection, But i question how much of it was her.

  • @brocadeblu Fashion is revolutionary, not evolutionary. Ther may be references to other designers, but there's always something different. But I TOTALLY see the similarities.

  • I have to disagree. I think you're reminded of Prada when looking at the silhouette and the fact that in both collections the models had their hair pulled back. Christopher Bailey revolutionized the trench, but it's such a staple in everyone's wardrobes that I can't see her influence being drawn from that. I think the stark, minimalistic tone of her collection did not feel reminiscent of Raf Simons because a lot of designers have begun to move in that direction. I felt as if it was very much her

  • This discussion lends itself to an argument of a constant fashion cycle that is out of control, its boring me and giving me a headache. Where a designer will take a bit here and there, make it their own of course/modern bla bla, but there are always undertones of other peoples design DNA.

  • Ok she did a camel trench, a really good one at that. yes it is a stable, but i just find designers in general and yes in this case Phoebe also, are designing pieces that are categorized, and I know theres only so much you can do e.g. top, skirt, pant, dress etc. its just no one is really developing a new piece that can define a decade,

  • thats what happened in the Noughties , it was just an amalgamation, of all references from past times..Even futuristic visions, were other decades interpretation of the future.

  • That decade was Nostalgia! Yes old ideas can be revived in new ways, but how much more beautiful and gutsy would it be to see a collection free from reference, where its just about developing an untouched idea, where its milked in all options.

  • @brocadeblu Thank you for this! It's true, seems like every collection nowdays is either a reference to a past movement or a theme-y/costume-y collection but then, designers role has become tougher, they have to develop new ideas and think like a businessman.

  • Ouch! Well...ok. I can't disagree with you there.

  • i love the military style dress and the look at 1:45

  • That black leather dress with the tie at the neck just made me have a small orgasm. I worship Pheobe and have waited for her to come back LOV LOV LLOVE her!!

  • this is one of the strongest collection this season. it looks so chic.

  • What a brilliant collection!

  • love the runway music

    anyone know the song?

  • Jaydee - Plastic Dreams (with thanks to ihateshowering)

  • Phoebe is amazing but I miss her for Chloe and Ivana for Celine.

    Anyway,this is a nice collection.

  • I loved the sharp lines and the neutral colours.

But throughout this season those colours are everywhere.

It's reminds me of a safari and sophisticated office woman mixed together to produce this. :D

  • Goregous collection! It's got less detail, and is much quieter than I expected. It seems very French (though I speak as an outsider), and is a perfect marriage between pragmatism and flowing femininity. Love the minimalist approach married with great warmth and intimacy. How fantastic - simple, elegant, WEARABLE clothing proposed on models with simple, elegant hair and makeup. It's about time.

I love the music. It's just perfect for this show. Does anybody know what it is?

  • And the set design is clever; it incorporates the colours of the show, and that metal scaffold at the back of the runway references the cross ties in some of the dresses ( 0:48)

  • I miss Ivana Omazic for Celine.

  • phoebe philo is amazing!!!

  • so sophisticated and tough...gorge

  • Amazing day/office wear for those chic professional woman that want to dress appropriator but still have and edge to their clothing.

If I were a business woman I would wear Celine's vision constantly to work.
