@m1kewithaone Sandra Dee was the first movie "Gidget". She was, also, in the movie "A Summer Place". She was 14 when she did the Gidget movie (her mother lied about her age). The next year she married Bobby Darrin. They were married for 7 years. They had one son, Dodd. @m1kewithaone She was only 14 when she did "Gidget" and 16 when she married Bobby Darrin the following years. She was, also, anorexic for most of her life. In fact, she was so much so that it is clear in the Gidget movie. Her mother pushed her into modeling and acting, and lied about her age to do so. Also, her stepfather married her mother in order to get to Sandra. He molested her.

@geerterri oh, thanks. isn't that a little extreme, don't you think, to marry someone just to get to their daughter!? and i was just talking to someone about what jerry lee lewis did, and reminding her of what woody allen did with mia fahra's kid. what a world huh? and i was just talking to someone else about what karren carpenter did, and how it made me cry to lose her that way.

My best friend from high school was Sandra Dee's nurse in the hospital right before she dies:(...in Simi Valley, CA., she said she was a very sweet woman. I wish I could've met her! I thought she was a very classy lady! I loved her in the TAMMY movies, and in Gidget, etc....LIFE is PRECIOUS:)!
