  • I have a 73 Omega with a 72 350 rocket. Yes stock, checked the VIN on the block and the car, they both match. It was an early production model of the Omega. Like second month production. With the Eidelbrock RPM performer package on it. This thing will run. I'm just trying to work on restoring her and bringing her back to her full glory. And the 350 rockets definitely purred like kitties. Don't require coaxing to lay 100 feet of rubber either.

  • Too bad it never outsold Chevrolet's Nova, the one rear-drive X-body car that many people fondly remember. Was there ever an Omega 4-4-2, which would've been Oldsmobile's answer to the Nova SS and the 1974 Pontiac Ventura GTO?

  • @ClassicTVMan1981X I've seen pics of an Omega 'S', but haven't been able to find any stats on it to know when or how many were produced. I know they were only available with a 6 cyl or 350 v8 (no 455 option) in '73 and '74 - no high HP options.

  • Nice Omega me and my dad fix on up we made a custom roll pan for ours because we could not fine back bumper

  • where did you get the emblems i got a 73 omega also.

  • @bdonnelly8484 I picked up the emblems at swap meets and ebay - and it took a lot of searching! They're pretty hard to find.

  • I got to know where you found those emblems. I also have a 1973 omega. i think i went a bit more radical with the engine though. I love the way your car looks mine is clean and ruse free like yours just need to freshen up the paint i also totally re-did my dash its custom. i have two videos on here of it running but the first one i had posted is a ten minute video and there was something wrong with the number two cylinder and i was only running on 7 but the second you can tell the difference

  • This looks great! I had to sell mine 3 years ago. Wish now that I hadn't.

  • nice!!!!!!!!

  • Can you do my car?

  • That's Awesome!!! I have a 1974 Omega but, can't find any blueprints or schematics for the engine. Its my first car and it needs a lot of TLC. If you could help by sending me a "How to" on the carb. That would be great.

  • The best thing I could recommend is to pick up a 1974 Chassis Service Manual. It will go into detail on everything, including the carb. It will pay for itself many times over. There's one on ebay right now (item 120507045946), which is a steal. Enjoy and thanks for the comments.

  • better lookin then the ventura

  • This is very nicely done.

  • It has the optional extra chrome along the inside of the windows. another option probably was to get some chrome added on the very bottom in between the tires. whoever owned it probably didn't want that option...too much chrome already maybe.
