Before Video Games (or most of their popularity anyways), parents blamed their children's bad behavior on Rock music, possibly because kids were spending time listening to music instead of with their parents?

A few years ago I took a psychology class and the last part of it we had to do an independent project more than half of the class did "Video Games cause violence." At the end there was a question moment where instead of being silent I tore down their entire argument. All of them got very low grades because they couldn't back themselves up. It's almost always the parents fault or a mental disorder they are born with.

I've actually done a paper and speech on this exact topic, even going as far as asking 55 college students if they felt that video games made them feel angrier or violent. Only 3 people said they felt angrier after playing a video game. Even the ones who play video games casually feel better, even through they weren't angry! It's when parents don't pay attention when they buy their 5-year-old GTA 4 then get angry when Jimmy tortures the cat that is the problem.
