  • holy crap STIs are pricey

  • @rabbiteh The spartan is a steal for the price around 600

  • why doesn't the escort come in .40S&W ??

  • theres always gonna be the 1911 vs glock argument glocks are good for the money 1911's alittle more expensive both are very durable alittle more i think goes to the 1911. both are accurate. i have a springfield operator. and im about to pick up a glock in 4 months i want both........... that being said ...... i'll still take my operator or a 1911 though just like um better in my preference :D :P

  • it s an exellent pistols for a ipsc

  • sorry, best home defence weapon is a Glock 26 or 27, load them them up with i think they are 146 grain Hornady hollow points.....

  • hahaha best of both worlds gotta glock and a 1911 all in one

  • Since what age can you legally own a pistol in America ?

  • 21 in California with a passed handgun safety test and full background check. I'm pretty sure thats a federal law.

  • Any age. But you have to be 21 to legally buy one.

  • wrong, you can only possess a handgun when you are 18, but you are correct, you must be 21 to purchase.

  • So you are saying that a relative may not give, as a gift, a handgun to their son/daughter/niece/nephew under 18? Please provide the law.

  • Glock 17 is the best pistol!!

  • youve obviously never shot a gun

  • Glocks are plastic pieces of crap that people buy when they can't afford a real gun. Go pick up a Sig or a HK and you'll never go back to a glock. Good 1911's will put Glocks to shame too

  • People like different guns, thatust how it is. But you try shooting your 1911 or a sig under water, or with mud, dust or something like that in it, and see what happens. A glock can take that. The are durable under almost any circumstances. And a standard 1911 is crap, you need to chance pretty much everything in it, in order to be just "avarage".

  • Also, many shooters prefer the low bore axis of striker fired pistols like the Glock or Springfield armory as it feels more ergonomic and can often result in faster follow up shots. A customized 1911 is undoubtedly an excellent weapon but it does not necessarily work much better than any number of far more affordable "off the shelf" weapons.

  • I think the Springfield XDm has a hgher bore axis than my Sig 220. That's what it feels like anyways. The 220's kick is also fairly tame even in .45. Idk I'm no expert on specs, but I can tell you what works for me. Glocks don't work for me, I've seen their slides fly off, them jam up with muck and them hiccup on certain brands of ammo. Maybe it was that specific Glock 21 but I wasn't impressed at all. Plus... never forget your weapon is made by the lowest bidder ;)

  • most production 1911's are far superior to that "standard" you refer to.

the glock is a great gun..i personally don't like how they feel in my hand so...i won't buy one...i own sigs...there's a reason 1911's are still in svc with some of our military spec ops...they are superior to the glock in acuracy and just as tough...AND they are safer

  • the glock is a great gun...there's a reason why so many police carry them and it's not the budget...the reason they are so inexpensive...there's tons of them out there ! they are super reliable and very tough...are they a 1911? hell no

i don't own a glock because i don't for how they feel in my hand and no other reason..p.s. i own a couple sigs

  • so that's why the navy seals have been using the sig p226 for so many years...because glock is the best...hmmmm don't get me wrong...the glock is a great pistol...but it's not the be all end all by any means...the sig is far more acurate...and if it's empty you can beat the bad guy to death with it cuz it's all metal !

  • Glocks are damn accurate, but i don't much like their triggers. There's a guy on here shooting at 50 or more yards with a compact glock. He's insanely accurate most of the time the guns are more accurate then the shooter. I've never shot a sig though hows their trigger compared to a glock?

  • the sao on the p220 is very much like a good 1911 and the double/single is pretty good as well i find the 1st pull to be pretty stout and the subsequent SA to have a bit mushy take up but a nice crisp release...my issue with the glock is merely one of comfort...the grip angle and trigger...my sigs are alloy frames which prefer as well ( subjective observation ) the p220 and p226 are well known for supurb accuracy out of the box... as good as a well tuned 1911

  • actually, when i shot a sig p230, small[er] gun, there wasa pretty big kick

  • that's cuz it's blowback operated not delayed blowback/locking breech like larger caliber guns

  • "and oh, we have checked them, and made sure that they are unloaded, TRUST ME!"

    L O L

  • famous last words. reminds me of the video of the DEA agent lecturing a classroom of kids that said just about the same thing right before shooting himself

  • Weird, his touching the guns with his pencil funny :)

  • Gun Owners of America > NRA

  • very cool.
