Try to get the playing more smoothe and don't use your arm so much let your wrists do the work...and avoid crossing your hands well that's if you don't struggle with it of course. Remember you must be as comfortable as you can.
If you angle your pan maybe it will be easier for you to reach the notes....lower the middle rod of your stand it should make it a lot easier for you to reach the notes instead of crossing your hands and getting tied up...
