They have the power to shoot down almost any law put before legislature, and they also have the power to veto and law or rule at all that would limit their own power in anyway. Essentially they have full control over what happens, even what happens to themselves. Senates sucks- American, Canadian, they all blow! I'm for the abolishment of that archaic retirement system, oh, I mean "branch of government".
