Check out our video about edge distortion. It even happens in 4:3. It is exaggerated in the Wide Surround. But, when it's in the context of 3x 22" monitors and at the edge of your peripheral vision, it is far less noticeable. With the 720p video, you're taking the stretch and putting it very close to the center of your FOV.
I have a th2go 3840x1024 setup and can honestly say that it's a world of difference. World of Warcraft or Eve Online are also beautiful. Furthermore (continuing the advertisement) doing any kind of developing or editing is so much nicer with a good amount of screen space.
the bottom video shows the wider field of vision from three monitors. the edges that "stretch" are at the edge of your field of vision. it is not distracting.
this 'aint widescreen, this is obese screen.

lo que mas afecta a un juego no es tanto el la configuracion grafica , lo que baja fps es la resolucion y el AA.

OMFG!!! it's so awsome...
but looks a bit unatural... :(

that FOV would really help in online shooters, but it just seems unnatural for some reason.

That looks amazing, though a bit of commentary in your gaming videos would be nice especially as your voice is very clear in your hardware reviews.

can triplehead2go achieves resolution @ 5040x1050? I think its max res is only something around 3000 x 1024

A firmware and software update in August allows for 5040x1050 @57Hz. Check out the WSGF for details and more info

reducing FOV reduces edge distortion

Do you know how well the Matrox TripleHead2Go would work with the NVIDIA 8600 GT? I haven't been able to find anything on the compatibility.

It doesn't look right how it stretches the screen when you turn on the bottom. It would look cool if the game was made for something like this.

This looks great especially because the view isn't stretched its extended. I hope they release a cheap surround monitor
