Actually that's only partially correct. Montes, Imps, and GXPs had the 5.3 v8, but the Malibu SS didn't. The Malibu had the 3900 v6. It's not the same drivetrain as the w-body's.

Put your foot on the brake at the same time you floor it until the revs won't climb anymore then release the brake and keep your foot on the floor. When the wheels stop spinnin release the e-brake.

GM is no worse off that Ford or Chrysler. GM does know how to make sports cars. I would take a Corvette, Grand Prix GXP, Solstice GXP, G8 GXP, Saturn Sky, Trailblazer SS or even a Cobalt SS over almost any new Ford or Chrysler. My 2007 basically stock Monte Carlo will keep up with any stock 2007 Mustang GT or Charger R/T. The Monte Carlo SS is not a sports car. It is a personal luxury car. People like me try to turn them into sports cars.
I agree. The Monte Carlo has some get-up to it, but I would actually enjoy driving it and have a lot more respect for it if it were RWD and a manual. Otherwise, you're just driving a V6 Camry.

Well I have a 2003 BonneVille SLE and I can get it to burn out a lil by cranking the Ebrake and putting it in first gear and then flooring it, BUT if u hit the rev limiter it cuts the power and u get grip so u have to work the throttle just right, I've gotten my tires to smoke tho a few times, and its just a 3.8L V6 in the SLE
This car offers better performance, comfort, reliability and economy than an '84-'87 SS. It also looks great. Nothing personal against those models, I happen to like them too. I'm happy with my '07 though. Thanks for the comments.
resonator is located right after the cat. Its nothing that will trip the computer and so far is exhaust note it will make it louder but your main source will be within the mufflers (flowmasters 40s or 44s) I personally think magna flow don't sound all that, but thats just my opinion. I tell you what, search for a 06+ monte with magna flow exhaust and type in my page: demariojason and hear how the same car sounds with deleted resonator and super 40's flowmasters and you be the judge!!

You have to change it with a tuner. Mine is set for 6200 rpm in all forward gears and neutral with EFI live tuning.

Well I have a 2003 BonneVille SLE and I can get it to burn out a lil by cranking the Ebrake and putting it in first gear and then flooring it, BUT if u hit the rev limiter it cuts the power and u get grip so u have to work the throttle just right, I've gotten my tires to smoke tho a few times, and its just a 3.8L V6 in the SLE

It has also been tuned with EFI Live and has a K&N drop in filter.

This car offers better performance, comfort, reliability and economy than an '84-'87 SS. It also looks great. Nothing personal against those models, I happen to like them too. I'm happy with my '07 though. Thanks for the comments.

resonator is located right after the cat. Its nothing that will trip the computer and so far is exhaust note it will make it louder but your main source will be within the mufflers (flowmasters 40s or 44s) I personally think magna flow don't sound all that, but thats just my opinion. I tell you what, search for a 06+ monte with magna flow exhaust and type in my page: demariojason and hear how the same car sounds with deleted resonator and super 40's flowmasters and you be the judge!!

probablly will never sound like that because the 2007 monte carlo ss has a 5.3l v8, and your 04 has a 3.8l v6, but there are quite a few after market exhausts that you could find for yours that will make it at least sound a little cooler
