This is the reason why government can never be involved financially with businesses. If a Corporation is being ran well on its own, then the Board of Directors has every right to give the CEO a bonus. When the country is in a recession and gives businesses a bailout, what becomes acceptable for business to do? how much control does the government have over it. What about other businesses that didn't get a bailout. Government creates hurts the free market and complicates the system.

Please explain why you think the leader of the National Socialist German Workers Party was not socialist. This is historical revisionism in the extreme. Both Hitler and Mussolini were socialists who rejected the international aspects of the Marxist brand of socialism, but otherwise were "good" socialists.

That is not true. From 1979 to 1988 more people from the bottom 20% of income earners made it to the top 20% than remained in the bottom 20%. Overall 86% of people increased at least 1 quintile.
What is wrong with people who work hard and build great things to be rich? They will then need to hire people and that will help lift the poor out over poverty. Under socialism the total wealth stagnates and everyone just gets poorer, sure maybe they're equal in the end, but equally poor.

Corporations are not harmless or neutral, they have a huge influence on government decisions but people continue to defend them. They are very powerful, they got millions to spend on lobbyists. Please wake the fuck up.
Not only do they influence the government but Whoever owns the media has also the power to manufacture public opinion. People basically repeat what the TV tells them. Wake the fuck up, stop repeating slogans

Michael Moore tells the truth. His research is exhaustive and impeccable. His sources are all PUBLIC = available for you to find and confirm for yourself anytime. He loves our country and that's exactly why he makes these films -- because he (like me) is shocked and saddened by how our country has lost its way under "the tyranny of the military industrial complex" as Republican President Dwight D. Eisenhower warned the country against in his last address from the White House.

Corporations pay for the advertising of political figures. If Obama or McCain had said anything about changing the system which would have put a major corporation out of business, they wouldn't be able to get in power. Essentially all major media stations are owned by the same entity. Corporations control your healthcare system, what you eat, what you drink, what your children learn. Hank Paulson, the crook who bailed out his buddies at Goldman and AIG with taxpayer dough while letting his rivals at Lehman Brothers hit the wall (how convenient for Goldman!), should never have been allowed to be Treasury Sec, and neither should Geithner, either.

Michael is right. Those poor CEO's need us. How can we sit back and complain about our lack of health insurance, debt because of tuition, lack of job security, and rising food prices when they have lost the essentials to their lives, i.e. their yachts, jets, weekend resorts. It must be so difficult for them in these hard economic times. And look how savagely people treat them when all they want is a multimillion dollar bonus. It just makes you wonder why society has lost their souls.

gokufievel, if you know anything about macro economy 101 then you'd know that to get a country out of a recession you got to make the government spend more money. OF COURSE, obama voted for the bailout! It's the ONLY and BEST thing you can do to save your country at this point. The only problem is Bush GAVE AWAY the money back then without checks and balances.
