  • no offence but most good child piano players i see are Asian O_O

  • hey thats really good :) im the same age as u, but i went for grade 8 rock school instead of classical. take a look at one of my pieces on the vid response

p.s. well done takes a while to be able to play this kinda thing as well as u do :D

  • WOW and i thought grade 5 was hard... lol

  • I'm not saying about your ability, i'm talking about the start of the song, it's kind of weird and demented!

  • This is a really interesting piece! It almost makes me wish I had gone a bit more modern with my list C piece (I played Scriabin). Have you done the DipABRSM? I'm preparing for it now, and it's rather overwhelming, especially since it's only 6 months after I passed Grade 8...

  • how old are youu?

    anyway you are amazing :)

  • damnnnn

    awesomeness

    and congrats ;)

but dude try to add a more jazzy feeling to this, sounds to.... uptight...ish

but tis jsut my thinking here, dont take it too much to heart ;)

  • JESUS CHRIST!!!!!!

  • kudos. I only passed with merit.=/

  • waowaowawo......distinction....omg....great great

  • Extremely competent, you deserved that distinction.

  • Are you from singapore?

  • I could play this easily but...if I tried to play it from notation my eyes would water. lol

  • lol- agreed! Us poor ol' grade fivers, haha...

  • How old are you @@ You seem so young. I salute you man. Kid?

  • did you ever fail the exam?

  • Nope. I got high scores on all of my exams, every grade.

  • i think that is brilliant, you have your life perfect plan set ip to be able to play an get such high scores

  • @ejc2006

    me too ;D !

  • @ejc2006 even though you did quite well, i have to introduce a word to you,its called humble ;)

  • You should be proud of yourself !!!

I am currently teaching a student and she has been playing for all of her life and she is now 17 and she can't play a well as you can.

You might have passed grade 8 but keep going.

Try the Chopin etudes op10 and op25 you will like them.

  • @frau369 i guess his teacher is very strict!! haha.

  • wow really painful song! but youre good at playing it!

  • ur great @ piano but the song was well annoyin

  • did ya practice every day?how wonderful!

  • Very good. Nice piano as well :-)

  • how old are you? i think u are about.....13

  • An OK performace, although more dynamic contrast is needed.

  • omg his pro WHAT AGE IS HE ANYWAY?

  • hi

    i'm 14 too!

    and i did this piece!

i'm doing it for my GCSE performance thing tomorrow!

    you're really good!

    =D

  • GOOD LUCK (2 MOTHS AGO)

  • hahaa thanks

    it went quite well

    do you do GCSE music?

  • wow!!! igcse..i did that last year..im doing my AS level now..and i did the grade 8 pieces for my performance AS yesterday too...good luck =]]]

  • thanksss:)

i'm really scared the listening seems really hard

  • very good! very jazzy feel.

  • I think your control was wonderful, for a grade 8der, but I think you should use your pedal more often... And also, Maybe the quality of recording, I think, ummmm It is a bit explosive...

  • i'm 14 too n played this song for my exam. i got 28 for it. you need some pedal here and there, would really sound better. and bar 11 to 16, there are parts you need to hold longer. anyways, its great. =>

  • Is this song taken from the Grade 8 ABRSM Book 2007-2008?

  • yes

  • How old are you? You look about eleven, and to play at grade 8 standard at that age is abnormally good. You have a solid talent. Keep it up. Try for your ABRSM Diploma next. Regards, Paul.

  • Paul, thanks. I am 14 years old now.

  • I got a score of 26 for this piece

  • wad marks did u get in this piece?

  • amazing!

  • oohh my god thats amazing, im playing this for my exam but i am no where near that pace for the fox trot tempo bit. seriously.....amazing..

  • pedal makes it sound nicer, but there are rest so i guess it was not copland's intention to have pedal there

  • the middle part is cryin' out pedal!!!If you put some and take care for the tone...you'll do great!!!

  • well played, but as far as music goes thats a pritt shit song

    lol!

  • i dont use pedaling for the middle section..

there are rests in the left hand, its doesnt sound right!

  • great playing. Now feel it a little more. Music is about expression....... with this piece... I'd say give it a 'hear this. No messing!!' vibe. Stick it to the man!! :)

  • The technique is awsome but you need to feel the music more

  • this needs to be a lot lighter and relaxed!!

  • Also, I think your playing is heavy-handed even if this cute little piece. You need to listen to your tone production more.

  • I agree, you need pedal in the middle part. Good to practice without pedal of course, to hear whether you are playing the notes or not. But in performance, you absolutely need the pedal in the middle section.

  • woah

  • You should add pedaling to the middle part!!!

  • Perhaps you should consider playing it in a more relaxing manner . Try to enjoy the music and get the music style instead of keep on counting the pulse and awaring the notes . Put yourself into the music and produce a more natural performance .Then , it will be a Bravo performance .

  • I took the ABRSM Grade 8 exam last week, please comment.
