  • She was 65 years old in this video?! Holy shit, smoking hot!

  • Doris Day is such a talented entertainer. Her voice is one of a kind, and she was one of the best comedic actresses in her time. Her movies were fun, charming, full of laughs, and always made you feel good inside. I have such great respect for her Animal League and the work she does on the behalf of animals and the awareness she has brought to their needs. Her just released CD, "My Heart" is wonderful -- listen to her version of Bruce Johnston's "Disney Girls". It doesn't get much better.

  • I LOVE HER!!

  • That was 25-yrs ago. She must be using a walker now.

  • @pnull No she is not using a walker.. She is more active than ever just released a brand new album "My Heart"

which is breaking records in the UK. and giving all kinds of interviews. She is still a very beautiful and active lady. Thank you Doris for giving the world another beautiful album. ♥♫♪

  • @daisymay2u I was so happy to hear this. Now Hollywood better give her the respect she deserves!

  • She looks exactly the same!

  • I can only lament that Doris didnt come back after this. There were rumors of a new "Murder She Wrote" type TV show but it never happened. I do hope she last 22 years have been good to her. We miss you, Doris.

  • She was 68 in this video! Gorgeous!

  • What an outstanding lady. A real class act.

  • And to think she'd be nearly 70 there! She's hardly aged a day! <333

  • a true legend

  • I a\ways loved this woman GOD BLESS HER for giving such much fan to the world!!!!

  • I remember seeing a great picture of Doris and the legend Judy Garland and laughing in the picture while they both were making films at Warner Brothers in the mid 50's. A REAL GEM!

  • She looks so beautiful and I am proud to have donated to her foudnation to help animals and she sent me an 8x10 autographed photograph. Clint was so amazing in introducing her. I bet it would have been a great film if they had worked together. She has always been such a dignified Lady on screen and in real life. a living legend. I miss seeing her on TV or in movies. They dont make them like her anymore. God Bless You Miss Doris Day!

  • she was over sixtyfive at that time ...

did she reappear elsewhere after this?

  • @vuotopiuscuro Doris looks great even today she is in her 80's and I am glad she wasnt vain to have any plastic surgery done. She is pure class!

  • Such a beautiful woman!! Doris is one of a kind.

  • So honest, so genuine, so sincere and lovely...that's the unique essence of Doris Day! There's no one like her and there never will be. She is an amazingly uniquely gifted artist and personality.

  • So honest, so genuine, so sincerely and lovely...that's the unique essence of Doris Day! There's no one like and there never will be. She is an amazingly uniquely gifted artist and personality.

  • shes a legend! amazing! gorgeous!

  • Ah yes now I remember... this is what the world is missing. Real people that have integrity and live life in an authentic way! And I love the comment > I have just found inspiration < I second that! We all need a lot more Doris in our lives and a lot less Kardashians etc.....

Thanks for posting this... I LOVE U-TUBE!!!!

  • What clsss. What talent. She is so real. It's long overdue for a lifetime Oscar award.

  • How lovely shame we don't see a lot of Doris anymore. Myrna said in her autobiography that she liked Doris very much when they did Midnight Lace.

  • to dflartist: yes agree-but believe she has turned down both--doesn't like to fly and won't give speeches--even here she seems reluctant to be in the spotlight--but she is a great actress and singer and one of the all time greats!!

  • Hallo my dear Doris Day,

I m so proud of you, that's you doing with the dogs, and i am Fan of You

    jetzt wieder deutsch:

Nicht nur die Filme. auch ihres Wirkens für die Hunde, darüber freue ich mich,

    your Renate Bergmann, Germany

  • She was one of a kind. I always felt she was comforting somehow. Very serene, yet with a no-nonsense manner.

  • Earth will never be blessed again with such a perfect specimen of the species...

  • You know a star is special when just about everyone is reaching for descriptives like "classy" and "elegant" to describe her... Day is one of those evergreen performers who were so good and made it all look so easy that you almost took them for granted. What a shame that the industry she helped build didn't seem to know what to do with her in the 1980s and '90s. And I would LOVE to have seen her and Clint together in a movie--that would have been one of a kind casting...

  • I loved her forever it seems, I think she is so beautiful, when I was a teenager I wanted my hair to be the same color.

  • i just found inspiration.

  • Classic...Classic Hollywood. Doris Day apreciated what fame gave her and knew the difference between fact and fiction. She is and will always be the one and only Doris Day. Classy lady and again...Classic Hollywood.

  • I think this was her last public appearance...so sad. We miss you Doris!

  • @WelshHashCake ugh, people say that?!?!?! what about love me or leave me? there's also a dark thriller she did, i just cant remember the name. or her hitchcock film? to me, the fact that she was good at comedies, dramas, romance, action & westerns proves her acting skills even more! ugh, people are idiots!!

  • @beyondbettyjean Yes, In The Man Who Knew Too Much, Hitchcock didn't ever try to direct her. She asked him why he wasn't, and he said that she didn't need any direction, she was doing everything right !!

  • She so deserved it. Doris Day is my favorite actress! Classy, elegant, poised and beautiful. She could do it all: romance, comedy, drama, westerns, actions & thrillers. She was the ultimate triple threat: an amazing actress, singer & dancer. They don't make them like Doris anymore, that's for sure.

  • And not one bastard studio in Hollywood offered her another film! Losers.... we would have loved to see Miss Day in another picture. Now, she's just unable...

  • this is awesome, do you have other Cecil B Demille award clips, like Dustin Hoffman or Al Pacino?

  • I wish Clint had taken her up on working with him. When I think of all the junk we've been given, why was this wodrous talent wasted, if she was willing to work again! We've been robbed.

  • Oh, this is lovely! I wish she could receive an honorary oscar. What shall we do for it to happen?

  • @megchristie1 "Write to Tom Sherak

President of the Academy of Motion Picture A&S.

    8949 Wilshire Boulevard

    Beverly Hills, CA

Of course you must mention in your letter that if they ever approve a lifetime achievement award for her that it is presented during the Oscar show and not relegated to their new fall festival for Award honorees!"

Dame Elizabeth Taylor also deserves a Body of Work Oscar.

  • Robert Mitchum always had that look lol maybe his weed hasn't kicked in yet

  • Is it true Doris Day hasn't been to Los Angeles since 1989 ?

  • She's so honest and so sincere...there is no artist with such truthfulness in ever word she speaks! It has been said that in her songs...she sings as if she's singing to you/me personally...and in her words she does the same...I love her. She's been a joy in my life in her movies all my life! God bless you Doris Day! You are one in a trillion!

  • Absolutely the most talented, beautiful, and modest star ever!!! When Doris says "she doesn't understand" the honor bestowed on her, it's not just false modesty--she truly means it!

Her fans definitely understand it, though!!

She is a class act, and a truly lovely person, inside and out.

She absolutely should be recognized with an Oscar--but somehow, I don't think it really matters to her :)

Doris, you are the BEST, and we LOVE YOU!!!

  • Amazing how similar Shirley MacLaine's voice is to Doris'.

  • Where's her Oscar and Kennedy Center award? So deserving of both !!!

  • @dflartist boy do i agree with you!!!!

  • Such a beatiful woman! Doris is the best ever alive. What a legend.

  • Wonderful! I love it!!!!! Doris Day 4ever

  • what was bugging Mitchum?

  • probably doris day's hair! xD

  • I loves me some Doris. I hope they give her an Oscar.

  • Thank you so much for this!

  • I love you Doris Day!You are amazing!
