@chilibro depends if your starting bass or guitar learn one and the other would be a whole lot easier to learn considering in alot of songs the bassline is similar to the guitar parts. i just started bass a few monthes ago and im progressing great but um.... if you want to start bass you should start off with one of those cheap basses likea fender p bass... i got one for less than 150 on ebay new so good luck

@leonpal14 it depends of the year. If they're less than 5-10 years old, they're cheap. If you got a 60's or 70's p bass, you're a lucky guy who had a deal with an idiot :)

@chilibro Different styles to play both instruments, if you're thinking about playing the bass, first you have to love the deep sound of it.

On some bands, yes, it's easier, because the bass is so weak, and they only use it as a "back instrument", but it can lead too! It also has the "slap" technique, which is unique and cool, but difficult.

There aren't "easier" instruments, just weak players or people that doesn't know how to develop all the potential of them.

@sekiyuuki0720 ポールが他のベーシストと違うところは曲のイメージにピッタリの­アレンジでベースラインを弾いているところじゃないかと思うんで­すね。私は若い時にディープ・パープルのコピーバンドでベースを­弾いていましたしスラップベースも一時凝ってました・・が、どれ­も違うんですね、ベースベースしていないしパーカッションのノリ­でもない、とにかくメロディアスなんです。リードギターのような­ベースと言おうか、ツボにハマッているベースと言おうか・・・表­現難しいですが。。笑

Do you use different camera settings occasionally? Or, maybe a different camera from time to time? I ask because in some of your videos your finger work is blurry and other times it's crystal clear, no matter what the tempo of the song. I've learned a lot from your videos but some songs that I really want to know are to blurry to figure out what your doing.

そうですね、ポールはなんせ天才ですから・・・笑

ただライブではこの曲相当歌いやすいようにアレンジはしています­けどね。

私の感ではyootamiさんのレスのようにミキシング技術が進­んで演奏と歌とそれぞれ集中できるようになったのでポールのベー­スも進化したのではないかと考えてます。

そうですね、ミキシングの技術も進歩したので演奏と歌と別々に集­中出来るようになったからではないでしょうか。　ベース音が変ったのはリッケンバッカーも使用するようになったせ­いでしょう。　私は軽くてアコースティックボディのヘフナーのブンブン音が好き­ですね。。　ただ現在はイロイロなエフェクトがかけられるし、アンプの性能も­良いのでどのベースの音が云々はあまり関係なくなったと思います­ね。

私がコピーしたベースラインで言うとこの曲と「All My Loving」が未だに完璧に弾くことが出来ません。。。それほ­ど私にとっては難しいカバーです。　音はアンプを通さないので４弦のCがどうしても低く鳴りません。­。そこがネックですね。　しかし良い時代ですよね、日本公演のビデオが熱とで見られるんで­すから・・・
