  • RIP brothers.

  • It's eerie that BOTH of these men are dead. One from cardiac arrest, one an accidental suicide. RIP.

  • Good scrap.. RIP

  • RIP guys

  • RIP boys

  • A deadmans fight...

  • Probert win

  • RIP to both of these great enforcers

  • Mr. belak Thank-You again for assisting our Mother in the elevator at #1 King last year...you escorted her to the concierge, waited for EMS to arrive and were a wonderful angel...We are shocked and upset to hear of your passing.

God Bless you and your 2 children and your widow.

Ie do not know what else to say.

Love and light, We pray for you this day...Gemma and Mother Vera

  • BOTH GONE FAR TO YOUNG,WHY WHY WHY.RIP GUYS.

  • we're gonna miss you guys

  • RIP to these two, they will be fighting in heaven

  • Probert past his prime and a young Belak who didnt have the fighting skills yet...Nice scrap though.

  • The "Cocaine" was kickin in just in time Probert. Cocaine is a hell of a drug.

  • As usual Probert comes on at the end and forces the guy to hold on.

  • @SCROGY You mean Probert tried to cum on the guy's end as usual!

  • @hornetsnest001 U mad?

  • @SCROGY ...no just an observation.

  • @z34gtp9395 Also he's dead.

  • Probert was a beast. Here is and old guy taking on Belak and gave him a run for the money. He always stood up for his teamates and knew his job.

  • RIP Bob

  • I truly miss "ole time hockey"

  • toronto may have been tough, but obviously tough dont get u cups. just ask toronto fans lol

  • TORONTO IS STUPID!! DOMI and BELAK both gone. Tor is now a soft team. STUPID to trade this guy. He can play the number 5 or 6 D post and play up front.

  • dude

Domi retired and Belak was traded and we have Colton Orr now and Toronto is one of the toughest teams in the league dont u watch hockey?

  • @gurisleafs Orr is good. I know Domi is retired, but trading Belak was dumb.

I watch hockey, but avoid HNIC b/c we get Toronna forced fed to us every weekend... and don cherry is popular in...

    'Tronna. Nowhere else

  • @gurisleafs

How are the Leafs doin, BTW? Last time I saw them win a cup I was younger than you are and I turn 65 this year.

  • @gurisleafs

Actually I WAS yur age, in '67 turned 22

  • You're nuts. They have the toughest team in the league and better d-men, especially after the trades they just made.

  • @HeavyD2544

I dunno, nobody pays much attention to the Maple Laughs. Out West her, we have ot ehr things to do, like play Golf in February, or drive for 2 hours and skii, go for a stroll along the beach, or watch a real hockey team... or anything but HNIC steady diet of mediocrity

  • Well, I wouldn't know about HNIC. I only get to see Toronto on Comcast Philly when the Flyers play them away. I have also seen them in person at home because I'm a Flyers season ticket holder. Its very nice to watch a real hockey team. What team are you a fan of?

  • @HeavyD2544

Any tam that plays the game with all they've got. Actually, I live in Vancouver, so yeah; connect the dots

  • Gotcha. I'm assuming HNIC is a Toronto station that gets a national viewing schedule. Sort of like Chicago's WB in the States. I can't stand flipping through the channels and seeing the Chicago Cubs disgracing my television with their presence. They haven't won a World Series since 1908. They suck even more than the Leafs.

  • @HeavyD2544

You got it right. CBC broadcasts an NHL hockey game every Sat night at 5 p.m. PST. In every game, one of the teams is Toronto.

Be happy y7ou have a ball team. Summer evenings and popcorn is what that is all about. We just have triple A here in Vancouver.

Didn't the Cubs win the W Series just 2-3 years ago??

  • That blows. I'm so happy we have a ball team, and a pretty damn good one at that. They have the squad to go back to the World Series for the 3rd straight time. Nah, the Cubs haven't won since 1908. The Chicago White Sox won like 3 years ago, but they aren't really the most popular team in Chicago. The Cubs are huge there, but they always suck.

  • Very good fight i liked.

Belak landed better punches, Probert with more.

    DRAW.

  • @MrJuha82

    Decision Probie. I like Belak.

  • well, at least Belak survived....lol

  • The linesmen kind of fucked up in this one! I know they need to get in there when the players go down, but they held Probert back too much. Also, Probert still had some gas in the tank and he could have kept going for a little while longer.

  • i kno

  • 1:08 'Probert looks like he just took a beating'...Which fuckin game were these dicks watching? Probert wasnt the one checking to see how many teeth he had left put it that way...

  • no your totally right, he was the one with his equipment half up his ass and the rest scattered around his body, not to mention I'm not sure if he knows where the fuck he is.... Belak is fully geared and good to go, even after fighting for the 2nd time ;) XD

    LOLUMAD?

  • Probert in his prime was very tough but nobody tougher than joey kocur i have never seen him lose a fight i have seen probert lose plenty i have seen laraque and brashear but never HANDS OF STONE Joey

  • Then you haven't seen verey many Kocur fights. Bob McGill droped him, and craig Cox smoked him.

  • lol kocur has probably been in over 200 nhl fights and you can think of only 2 times he lost?

i think thats a pretty good record

not to mention kocur didnt have very good balance on his skates, so if you actually watch those fights its him swinging wildly and falling down then the other guy falling on him throwing punches after he's already down.

  • He lost some toe to toe battles, a lot more than two. Hell, even Jim Kyte beat him pretty good in their first fight before Kocur knocked him out in the second one. The facts are Joey KO is top 5 all time and their is no way anyone can dispute that unless they have never sat down and watched the majority of his fights.

  • @HeavyD2544

Kyte is a sucker punch artist.

  • I've seen a great deal of his fights, and he wins a lot of them fair and square. It's no doubt that every NHL enforcer threw sucker punches at one time or another, but Kyte was really good.

  • @HeavyD2544

Kyte couldn't play the game worth a shit, and I saw him clearly sucker punch two players and in both cases ... without provoation. He was yellow

  • Everyone is a sucker puncher at one time or another. Dave Brown, Tie Domi, Bob Probert, Terry Oreilly, and a shit load of others. They have all done it, and they have all done it twice I'm sure. Hockey fighting has no sanctioned rules, and this code of ethics that fighters talk about now is a fairly recent thing. At least, the code has obviously changed if one even existed before the instigator was born.

  • @HeavyD2544

Dave Brown was one dirty s.o.b. domi delivered an overdue letter to Ulfie, and O'Reilly and Probert, tough, not dirty.

Instigator rule made the ref's job a gazillion times harder, b/c the players cannot police themselves like before.

  • Very true about the instigator man. I've been praying every day for a bolt of lightning strike to Gary Bettman. In my dream his replacement bannishes the instigator rule from the NHL permanently. Not gonna happen most likely, but I'll keep praying anyway.

  • @Jodafrever

Coxe smoked him, but Kocur much harder uncher and I'd bet on Joey in a rematch. Hit like Rocky Marciano.

  • Hate to break it to yah, but he lost at least 40% of his fights. That's actually an incredibly low losing percentage for a top NHL enforcer, but he definitely lost his fair share of fights.

  • pretty cool to look back and see an old school legend have a go with one of today's current heavyweight champs. good stuff.

    thank you, world wide web!!!

  • nice

  • was this the calgary feed? sounds like their announcers.

  • It had to be homer announcers. Probert has fought twice many nights and the announcers never make excuses like when Probie knocks Belak on his ass at the start of the fight....This is Belaks second fight of the night he has to be tired. Probert is the man.

  • You got that right.

  • not only that, but the linesman have probert tied up while belak throws haymakers during part of the fight.

  • belak had already fought in this game so its amazing how he still stayed in the fight

    good luck in nashville

  • Probert knocks Belak on his ass early in the fight an Belak wants to hug and hold. People forget Probert skates a lot lines. He just doesn't sit on the bench and come in on the last 20 seconds of the game to start a fight.

  • towards the end of probies career he was not the fighter he was in his prime. but if pissed off or motivated he awas still deadly. beat a young laraque when gl was undefeated. watcch the video of both fights. probie was the best of all time

  • Probert got him toward the end but was still a draw. Probert at this stage of his career was an average fighter, in his Detroit days would have mopped the ice with young Belak.

  • @mrkrl Don't forget Belak wasn't in his prime here either, and in fights like this where both guys are about the same size and build, it's anyone's game.

  • True...I do like Belak though, infact I became a big fan of his when he decked that little piece of s--- Janssen of the Blues with a shot to the jaw a few seasons ago!!!

  • @mrkrl I guess we could take this bout as changing of the guard, passing on beat-downs through generations. haha

  • @mrkrl cant argue with ya there, Probie was my favorite Goon R.I.P buddy

    ...........

  • you 2 wade.. R.I.P

  • that ref is lucky he didn't get punched .. I didn't know Belak was on the Flames at one point either.

  • Probert was a tough son of a bitch!! every enforcer who ever played the game of hockey wanted to have a piece of him, that's how great he was.

  • Very few ever got that "piece". I don't remember him losing too many fights.

  • give da win to probert on this fyt VINTAGE PROBERT

  • Are you serious?

    This was all Belak.

Probert was past his prime as a fighter in this one, but I agree Probie could have demolitioned him in the old days.

I liked when Belak used to go toe to toe like this, now he just hangs back and tries to throw bombs.

  • lol yeh a know belak won probie although thru a few i thought id be nice and give it to probert coz hes the toughest outta the 2 anyway

  • and they are good old canadian boys too.

  • thats the thing with bob, hes kinda like a wasp. the more you hit him the more pissed off he gets.
