Hagar is definitely NOT a better singer than Roth.........VH sold a lot more records with Roth and Dave's voice had a lot to do with that success........and don't forget that the 2007-2008 VH reunion tour was the highest-grossing tour of their entire career and NOT A SINGLE HAGAR SONG WAS PLAYED !!!

seeing as they got their first no.1 with 5150, and if you actually listened to the voice rather than record sales you'd know SH was better, they don't play Hagar songs cos Roth doesn't have the range to sing them, and because roth doesn't like hagar's songs, Hagar phased Roth's songs out also, so it's really a question of egos vs Range.

I have to say that a great deal of Van Halen fans are just blinded by David Lee Roth's stage presence. It somehow causes you all to not hear the fact that he sounds horrible. He hits so many sour notes that it is almost embarrassing. What everyone needs to do is close their eyes, listen to this, and realize the fact that Sammy Hagar has more talent in his right nut that Roth could ever dream of having.

Dave's never been known for his live vocals. Listen to the live stuff from the 80's and you'll hear how much BETTER he sings now. Back then he did more roundhouse kicks and flirting with the ladies than he did singing.

What he's lost with his agility, he's more than made up for it with his improved singing. Can't wait for the next tour.
