I'm tired of hearing people say macs are overpriced. Macs are expensive because they have more memory and they are advanced computers for colleges, advanced for design artists, etc. Macs are advanced and they are for people who do alot that pcs can't do. Most of this is in my opinion. I won't reply to people who are rude to me when they respond to this.

I'm sorry, but that is wrong. Mac's have far LESS memory and are far LESS advanced than PC's of the same price.

For example, you can put together a Core i7 system with 16 GB of memory and a 2TB hard drive for less than an iMac with a crappy Core 2 Duo, only 2GB of memory and puny 320GB hard drive.

As far as price vs. performance, PC's blow Mac's out of the water.

I think with Apple, there's a lot of smoke & mirrors & clever marketing of course, which creates the *feeling* that you're getting something special. I'm not saying they're not good, just a little overpriced imo.

But the thing is that it's exactly the same hardware in the PC as the Mac Mini. The very same components. It won't fail any faster, the gpu, cpu, and hard drive are the same so they're not any slower. The only difference is that the Mac costs twice as much.

I personally think it's just the dedication of Apple users. I'd rather take the Mac Mini over a Dell, HP, Gateway and even higher brand names like Alienware and Velocity. Performance isn't determined by size, I haven't any hands on experience with the Mac Mini yet but I'm sure it works just as well as a barebone kit constructed in a similar case.

you could just buy the Imac. It comes with the mouse and keyboard. I have an Imac, 2 minis, macbook pro, and macbook,. for the mini you can use recycled PC USB 2.0 or 1.0 mouses and keyboards. yea i left out the ipods and iphones that i have, but still for as small as it is the mini is quite powerful :D

i do not believe so, apple software only works on apple products. i think what you are asking is if you can use your laptops keyboard and monitor with the mac mini, no you cant. you will need to buy a monitor and keyboard
