  • In not so elegant terms, "That steering wheel is effing cool."

If only it had in the ballpark of 400 hp. It looks so good, why skimp on power?

  • @mikeb1444

Well.. 255 isn't bad, but it still is a nice car...

  • Just needs more hp. Because why put 255hp in such a beautiful car.

  • the production 2012 GS has a turbo 4 cylinder...not the v6 in the video.

  • Vauxhall Insignia with a Buick badge.

  • Flexfuel is going to be incredibly important with this car. When gasoline costs $5 A GALLON, and E85 is $2.69, who is going to burn gas? No one.

  • @av8tor17b i completly agree and most carburated cars can burn e 85 eith some tweeks

  • Were not getting the V6 =(. Still will be a fun car to drive though.

  • they have both there is a turbo 4 and the 2.8l v6 turbo if you look on the engine cover it says v6 turbo

  • its a 2.8l v6 turbo

  • @corekid420 i read it was a turbo 4

  • no its said Turbo its has been a long time that the buick regal was turbo... near 20 years and more normally they were supercharged but its not very easy on the gas... hahah

  • @dancause1

That's only if you drive them right and not always floor it to hear the blower. I get about 20 mpg from my 3800 supercharged in an nearly 4600 lbs Oldsmobile LSS

  • @Jon3800...Hold on to your Oldsmobile LSS, there pretty rare. Most people don't know that Oldsmobile had the same motor that the GTP, SSEI and Monte Carlo SS had. I remember working at an Olds dealer in 1997 and we had three and were sold in one week.

  • @willsco76

I plan on keeping that Olds. Its never been winter driven and it will stay that way :)

    It's a 98 with 87,000 miles

  • @Jon3800 I thought it is funny that the LSS weighs less then the smaller Regal Gs, so I'd figure it might actually be a little faster

  • @Parsec994a

Really? I thought the GS would way less granted it's a mid sized class compared to a full-sized LSS

  • @Jon3800 Really! According to edmunds.com 1998 LSS. Curb Weight - Automatic (lb.) 3502. 1998 Regal GS Curb weight: 3562 lbs

BTW i watched your vids when I was learning about the LSS becuase I was going to look at one with 45k and the guy wanted $3850 but it sold before I got there so the hunt continues... thanks for the vid reviews of the lss they were helpful and now that's the car I want :)

  • @willsco76 I agree hold on to the LSS, very rare.

  • Is it me or does the engine cover say V6 Turbo, wtf...

  • @camaro480 no its said Turbo its has been a long time that the buick regal was turbo... near 20 years and more normally they were supercharged but its not very easy on the gas... hahah

  • Indeed it's a beautiful car, and I'll probably eventually drive one.. it's just going to be really difficult to get used to the idea of it not being powered by the GM3800, cast and assembled in Flint Michigan.

Actually, we may see an entire industry crop up here in north ameica, of people rebuilding GM3800 engines and offering to sell and install them in these newer cars.. (I'd love to see that if it were done right)...

  • @JimButler1234567890 lol.. took the words right out my mouth.. im thinking about saving my money and just throwing some money in a rebuild and some performance internals.. i mean the cars nice.. but i LOVE my 3.8

  • HELLO EVERYONE???? THATS THE V6 IN THERE!!! You may all now take your heads out of your asses.

  • they basically copied the audi a4 in every way

  • @bballplaya123678 nope...if that is the case then Opel did....its just a rebadged opel.

  • will this be powerful than the Grand National of the 80s

  • @944911928 I WISH!!!!! if they'd make a new model version of the grand national and go v6 turbo with a 6 speed tranny.. and AWD... :)) yesss sirrrr...

  • @jesman1985 I cant believe the europeans got a more pwoerful version than us WTF

  • @944911928 so thats why the engine says v6 on this regals engine.. they get the v6 and were stuck playin with emissions test and 4 bangers.. weak!!

  • @jesman1985 they'll prob boost the horsepower in like 5 years lol

  • @944911928 if this is all theyre offering i might as well just throw a L67 in my 99 regal and mybe some new internals.. stock its a 3.8 v6 supercharged.. i mean why buy a 35,000 car when all i'd have to do is spend about 3,000 and get 240hp stock and get the tranny.. i mean i like its a standard n all.. but cmon.. the grand national was known as a V6.. if theyre trying to take the performance route then keep it a V6.. a 4 banger?!?! reall?!?! i dont wanna be in the same class a honda..

  • I love the look of the car, just hate the 4 cylinder and 6 speed. wish It could at least come with a automatic transmission.

  • European version (Insignia OPC/VXR) has 325hp, 321 ft/lb, all-wheel drive and electronic limited slip differential. Why is it you detune all import cars?

  • Looks impressive but it will be at least a year and a half before you can get one. GM is famous for this. i wonder what the specs are for the Car?

  • wonder if I trade in my 2001 buick regal, if they will give me this for free? hmmm jk

  • The real ques is how will it compare to the 98 - 2004 GS

240 hp 280 ftlbs and similiar weight

  • this car will blow the doors off any grand national gnx

  • @reviewsitedollars...doubt it.

The 1987 Buick Grand National GNX had 276 hp, 360 ftlbs of torque and weights 3472 lbs.

This 2011 Regal GS has 255 hp, 258 ftlbs of torque and weights 3,600 lbs giving it both a weight and horsepower disadvantage to the GNX.

  • I don't think so.

  • Are you joking?

  • your an idiot
