That pipe that had fallen down was a gas line and that whole place was no doubt rife with asbestos dust, you could see the dust in your flashlight beams, that you were kicking up.

All those pipes were wrapped in the stuff and it's all decaying and falling off onto everything.

The pipes aren't insulated, otherwise I wouldn't go in there. They were steam pipes and not gas pipes. Rick is an asbestos expert. He shuts places down, this place included, because of asbestos.

I was talking about the one 1 1/4" pipe that had dropped, it looked as if it had a gas connection to it...also good to know that wasn't insulation I was looking at then on those pipes, my assumption was steam pipes = asbestos insulation.
