The days of gang warfare in pro wrestling. While the WWF had Nation vs. DOA vs. Los Boricuas and Hart Foundation vs. DX WCW had nWo Hollywood vs. nWo Wolfpack. The whole nWo warfare reminds me of Crips vs. Bloods with both battling for colors lol.
@MikeJames6 only reason why he went back to the nwo black and white was because he wanted to get revenge on nash injurying his neck from the powerbomb. so yeah it makes sense.
if Rey Myseterio would had joined NWO Wolfpack, this group would be even better , espically with a good cruiserweight dude. Rey was a great wrestler espically at his size. he would been cool in red and black.
One of the best moments of wrestling history was made right here. if not, top 5.
Everyone who watched wrestling knew damn well they wanted sting to have some sort of affiliation with the nwo...even with his "dark" like outcast character fits perfect. Yep this vid is full of win.
@unothename12 you do make a good point, however, just because the nwo black and white had a bigger number it doesn't necessarily mean they were more powerful. the wolfpac had some well-respected, legendary talented wrestlers. Nash, Sting, Luger and the Macho Man all make an incredible team by themselves. But that doesn't make them the most powerful either. It's a very debatable subject, but in the end, the nWo PERIOD - Hollywood or Wolfpac, were both very very powerful in their own ways.
@BloodyFingerz Pretty sure this was during one of Hall's drinking binge phases, where he was suspended and ordered to sober up. Happened like three times in WCW. As far as two Stings, NWO came up with their own Sting in I think '96. Just an average jobber, dressed as Sting to fool the audience one time. They realized the gimmick had legs, and kept it going for quite some time. He wrestling Japan alot with the NWO faction there. He was actually not bad. Not that Sting had/has any difficult moves.
@BloodyFingerz The NWO had been using a fake sting in I believe 96 and everyone felt he had turned on wcw but then he cleared his name yet felt betrayed so left then in like 97 started showing up in rafters in the black and white look and fueded with NWO then they brought back the fake Sting this time with the new look too confuse people again and then eventually when Wolfpac had formed as seen here Sting joined them. Which is why you see two Stings in this vid.
I like Sting, but the best part of this was when he wasn't able to rip the shirt off.. Gotta have one of Hulk's "cheating" shirts that's pre-ripped lol.
i still have my two NWO wolfpac t-shirt to this very day and it has writing on the back that say's bad has arrived and it's here to stay and the other say's no mercy
This DID make sense. Sting was never dark just for the sake of it. In 96 and 97, he felt betrayed and thought it was the best way to take down Hogan.
Hogan stole the belt back in April 98. Wolfpac was then formed for nWo guys who saw the error in his ways. Luger joined that cause. Sting chose to do the same and in the process, forgave his two partners the night the chaos all started. Whereas he had almost no ties to Goldberg and DDP.
Also he had started talking again months before this.
@PhenomenalWun77 I FULLY AGREE. Sting in the Wolfpac made sense. People seem to forget that his silent, cold character was the exception, not the rule. He was loud and crazy at every other point in his career.
What didn't make sense was Starrcade 1998 and everything afterwards.
Not really. He joined up with the two people (Nash and Macho) that directly screwed him out of the title not long before. Something which Hogan had nothing to do with. They all then later simply joined right back up with Hogan anyway. The Wolfpac should've remained tweeners, and Sting should've been of the position that as long as they stayed out of his way, he'd let them be.
