The CDC stopped testing to determine if presenting cases are actually H1N1 in August 2009. All patients presenting with "influenza-like illnesses" are to be ASSUMED to be H1N1.

That is not good science.

That is not good public health data collection.

Go search the CDC site. I read the original policy there.
