He folded in front of Kruschev at Vienna, through weakness encouraged the Soviets to build the Berlin Wall, bungled the Bay of Pigs by refusing to provide air support, and got nothing done for civil rights. Getting killed was the best thing that ever happened to his legacy. Johnson is the one who got civil rights, et al., enacted, not Kennedy.

Likely, if he had run for the US Senate in New York (he would have beat Hillary Clinton for the nomination - or she would never have run), and JFK would have been elected over Rick Lazio.
Should he have decided to run for President in 2008 - I think he would have been elected and Obama probably would never have run with the Kennedy establishment behind President Kennedy's son.

Beautiful! He was blessed in so many ways, but not with time. I met his father in my younger years and fell in love with him (as most young girls did in the early 60s), but John F Kennedy Jr., was hope for America, I always knew he would do great things, I just never knew that the evil in this world would make sure that never happened. Rest in peace, your legacy did not die on that horrible day; that will live on forever as a slap in the heart to those who ended your life.

His death was an accident...and his poor wife and sister died...because he was piloting a plane w/ an injured foot and was most likely on medication....he died for being careless and reckless....his mother told him not to fly airplanes..and when she was alive...he obeyed but after she died..he got his pilot's license...he would still be alive if Jackie was a alive....

I personally don't think that he is deceased. I think that he went under the radar for a reason. I think that he had/has what America needs as a leader.
