Hey man, loving your blog. I am planning to travel to Iran this summer and experience the high standards of hospitality of the people and also enjoy all the other wonderful things I have heard of this place. But I am apprehensive of going there as I am a vegetarian. Sounds like it shouldn't be too much trouble as all it would require is for the chef to not to add the meat. But is it possible?

awesome videos dude! keep them coming. man I miss the country, the food and the music, I haven't been there in a decade.one thing I noticed about Iran is that there isn't much variety in the dishes being offered in restaurants, 90% of restaurant sell basically the same food (chelo kababi).I had a really hard time locating any Thai, Chinese or Indian restaurants.

@yashar1991 what I meant was that Iran does not have a diverse food scene compared to other Middle Eastern countries like Emirates or Kuwait where you would easily find restaurants from different cuisines (e.g Indian, Thai, Moroccan, Chinese...). I did find few Italian restaurants in Tehran but the almost all restaurants sell Iranian food so non-Iranian tourists don't have a great variety to choose from.

i just got back from iran last week. it was fantastic, except i was stopped at the airport because they thought i was trying to escape milatary service. but it was all settled. we went to mazandaran, but we stayed in tehranmostly. i miss shomal the most though

BTW, Shandiz's main branch is in Mashhad (Shandiz is a region close to Mashhad). It's second branch is in Tehran (Jordan). I love Shandiz ;)

Thanks very much! Yes you are absolutely correct. In fact the restaurant you see in this video imports all their meat from Mashad - that is why their prices are quite expensive. I had kebab here for almost the same price as I would pay in Europe.

Oh god, i LOVE darband! such great food there. Also, I absolutely agree with your uncle, it's not uncommon for less known restaurants to serve meats that aren't what is advertised on the menu.

I should have listened to your warning about not watching this with an empty stomach..I think a single tear came out of my eyes lol, Iranian food is the best!
