Something I never understood about the ending of this game - if the tower explodes mere seconds after delivering the final blow to Khan, how does the hero (in this case, Liu Kang) survive?

Since it's a tournament and Rayden needs all the chances possible for Earthrealm to beat Outworld, he's going to have as many guys on his side entering the tournament to increase his chance of having one of his guys win in the end, even though it means his guys might be forced to fight each other due to fighters being chosen to each other at random.

@MaxxTheSlash i dont think it's a tournament b/c in i think MK II, i remember reading where some of the Earthrealm fighters helped each other like Johnny Cage, Kung Lao, Liu Kang, etc... I always thought it was just a big fighting war between Underworld fighters and Earthrealm fighters and i think in this game it's mentioned that the warriors are "searching" each other after all Shao Kahn was trying to take Earthrealm by force unlike the first 2

they just stuck to the 1vs1 format for gameplay

that 8 hit combo is just brutal. I have MK trilogy. I've always had trouble pulling off the combos. So the trick is doing the bicycle kick then run up to them and do that combo.

I used to have the SNES version of umk3, but if I used Rain, it would glitch everytime if I continously roundhoused. I'd use the lightning bolt, then before whoever I was fighting fell back down, I'd start roundhouse kicking back and forth, then the game would freeze.

I did like the game, just hated that small aspect.

I'm curious if this same thing works in UMK3 because from my understanding the run bar is drained when the bicycle kick is performed.

The computer can sometimes pull something similar in UMK3, I don't quite remember - please correct me. I believe sometimes it links but the computer does bicycle kick, followed by the 4 hit kick combo. Also sometimes it doesn't link such that if you do not hold the block after the bicycle it appears that it connected except it was more of a reset.

While fighting Shao kahn, you only get 5 lives. 5 lives 5 lives 5 lives. because I always lost and thats why I always count lives. If your Health bar says DANGER! It means you'll get a Second chance to stop Shao kahn before he kills you. (Copy from Kingdom Hearts, Sora's Second chance ablilty). But if you block and Shao Kahn hits you, Your Second chance ablilty is gone and your health bar will never says DANGER! Don't forget!
