  • This guy is not funny.

  • @StoneyMcJuicyBuds Wow, thanks for the info genius, your wisdom will save us all.

  • @StoneyMcJuicyBuds He was not supposed to be funny. He wasn't a comedian. He was a song-and-dance man.

  • Steve Martin..wild and crazy man woooo wooooo

  • Such an awesome talent. R.I.P. Crazyman !!!!!!!!

  • wow he is so sexy in that black suit.

  • Andy was a performance artist...that's what people don't get. And a genius, & WAY ahead of his time

  • Thank You Very Much

  • Dynamite, brilliant!

  • i love hes smart enough to pick less familar tunes so its more impressive and shows real love for elvis

  • @Dravenswraith also he has a raw young elvis down pat..awesome

  • Ah, you cut the clip before the punchline?

    Thank you very much.

  • @Greg042869 Not at all, there was a different segment of that show right after that. Andy was not very predictable as we all know.

  • @B0yardigi0rn0 The bit always ends with Andy in the foreigner character saying, "Thank you very much."

  • @Greg042869 No, the bit didn`t always end that way, I am aware of that, he didn`t do it during this performance. I know so because I edited this clip from the original source.

  • @B0yardigi0rn0 Yes it did. THAT WAS THE JOKE. He delivered the line "Thank you very much" and then quickly went back into his regular voice because Wolfman Jack came up on stage to talk with him, but he did deliver the punchline. Go back and watch it again. watch?v=wMCajgqCr2A

  • @Greg042869 Dude you are really annoying, I don´t keep track of what Andy Kaufman did in every single performance. if you worry about stuff like that you seriously need to get laid. I am not going to watch anything again, I have a life to live.

  • @B0yardigi0rn0 What's with the personal insults? The difference is between presenting the act as a comedy bit, or a string of silly imitations. The bit was one joke. There was a lead up and a punchline. You gave the lead up, but not the punchline. It's somewhat forgivable because Wolfman Jack threw off the timing, so that you, like most of the audience probably did not understand the point. But that's okay, you can stay confused and annoyed by people and concepts that you do not understand

  • @Greg042869 *yawning*

  • 1927! hahahahahha

  • Andy should of just decided to hang up the comic stuff, and be and been an Elvis Tribute Artist (ETA for short), because that's accentually what he was even though they all just called them impersonators. But he was really what we Elvis fans call ETA's, because you could tell he really respected Elvis and had the love, passion and respect for him, to be a great ETA. None of his other stuff seemed to be up to par or could make the fans go wild like his Elvis could, and this video proves it.

  • will always miss Andy Kaufman

  • Genius !!!!

  • Andy Kaufman was a comical genius... His style is unlike any other.. Not all people liked his style. Like for example, when he would do those first two examples, he would get heckled like crazy. This was a pretty nice crowd. But then when he did elvis, people were in awe.. How could this foreign sounding guy do that? (even though the foreign accent was fake as well) More people need to know who Kaufman was.

  • Andy was so funny and did a much better job impersonating Elvis then some of this Elvis Impersonators today ! Great Post

    TCB DANNY

  • The thing to ponder is this, he did elvis while elvis was still alive, and it is a documented fact that elvis saw one of his shows and loved it. Genius

  • Ya gotta love this guy. Talent fo' sho'

    Tank yew very much

    :)

  • Andy was the vanguard of comedy in the seventies...he took a lot of chances...sometimes he bombed but not often...he had a lot of guts and a lot of comedic talent that's why he made so many breakthroughs...

According to Johnny Cash, a good friend of Elvis, Elvis said Andy did the best impersonation of him...

    I agree.

  • lol this guy was always something else, no one perso had his style and to me he was the best Elvis impersonator. people usually expect the "look" and the voice nd soul this man transmitted on stage was as good as a seance rofl he was Elvis on stage. and even Elvis stated himself " hes my favorite" so

  • His impersonation of Elvis Prestley has to be the single most greatest of all time !!

  • this dude was a nut job

  • @ChickenHawkKicker No he wasn't. Too bad you don't know the facts about him and just exposed your ignorance in front of everybody.

  • @B0yardigi0rn0 no he was a serious nut job.

  • @ChickenHawkKicker Okay, I respect your point of view but: prove it! Show me the facts and I'll agree with you then.

  • @B0yardigi0rn0 and two who the hell is fully functional? thing is he brought laughter , shock and music to millionssss in the words of my tradition .. ill see you again buddy and hope youll remember me.

  • @B0yardigi0rn0 - was Andy really mentally ill or just a genious that nobody wants to recognize? I don't know that much about him.

  • @B0yardigi0rn0 He was waaaaaay ahead of the times! A true comedy genius indeed!

  • Often times Andy didn't want you to laugh or think he was funny. He wanted you to feel uncomfortable, angry, confused, etc.... and THAT my friends was his comedic genius. It's hilarious he can make us feel like that by being in character for 3-5 minutes.

  • oh my god, never seen this before. Got chills, what a talent

  • If there was no Charlie Chaplan there would be no Andy Kaufman, if there was no Andy there would be no Sacha baron Cohen

  • @bollinbol Your second example is a bit of a stretch.

  • @bollinbol and if there were no Sacha Baron Cohen, Pamela Anderson would still be with Kid Rock. So indirectly, Andy Kaufman split up Pamela Anderson and Kid Rock.

  • @sydbarrett5 Ha ha ha ha, you cracked me up Syd, good one!

  • @B0yardigi0rn0 you know what gets to me? one- people pay big dollars to see heavily medicated and sometimes even convicts who are performers who have fucked up and dysfunctional lives and they worry about whether andy kaufman was a nut job?? oh boy !

  • What an amazing, talented and original person he was. I thought he was just Latka from 'Taxi' but he was a whole lot more.

  • Can you judge originality dumbinna--everything you see today has been just worked over by current entertainers. Andy K. was doing it the first time around back then so yes--he was quite original. Who would you say today is TRULY original--just curious.

  • Hi Mushroomsoup, don't mind Dumbina, she shows up once in a while and says something ridiculous about Andy. She's like the pesky, retarded family member, (no offense to mentally challenged people elsewhere), you sort of get used to her after a while.

  • ok I went to " my corner and ate" This guy is so unoriginal, and just happened to have a riff, "Hello I am Ronald Regan..." Think..L.S.D.

  • @dumbbina You should actually try some L.S.D. and see if that has some sort of, "Drano Bomb" effect on your very slow mind.

  • Nicely done, Andy. :)

  • LONG LIVED THE QUEEN

  • First time ever seeing his stand up.

I don't quite feel it, perhaps I need to see more to judge. 5 stars none the less.

  • I found a couple full lenght videos of his at my local library. Netflix carries some of them as well.

Watching Man On The Moon and reading a couple books about him opened my eyes to what he was trying to do. Cheers!

  • He was genius!

  • Get a clue, dvohland33! Did ya even watch the whole thing?

  • Get lost n00b!

  • he does Elvis very good he is the best

and mis a komedian like him

  • dank you vedy-much

  • ohhhhhhhhh i had forgotten about his Elvis impersionation! truely amazing!

  • lmaoooooooooooo i always thought he was so funny..not in the typical sense..he had a style all his own!

  • Wow. Lots of his great tunes sounded like a train. That sure is a very cool thing to have!

  • Unsuccessful? That's certainly debatable. As is just about everything else you say. Look man, you're entitled to your opinion. Everyone is.

I don't expect the world to have the same opinion as me.

  • That's rrrright, I forgot. He was so successful he was able to treat an entire audience to milk and cookies! Dang, he sure was cutting edge. You got me, I give.

  • They don't make too many big budget Hollywood movies, or write many books, or write many songs, about people who are as unsuccessful and/or uninspiring as what you describe my friend.

I do not label Kaufman a comedian however. He did not fit into any mold really, so I do not find it surprising that you consider him a lousy comic. He was something else. What to label him exactly? I don't know if anyone could do that for you. (BTW-Not trying to "get you"-I thought we were just talking)

  • ok thanks, take care, dunskie. You're pretty smart and understanding. sincerely, d.b.

  • Nice chatting with you d.b. . BTW, Big Cash fan too. Take care.

  • Remember, he did this before Elvis impersonators were a dime a dozen.

  • over rated

  • Pretty dumb dumbina. What have YOU done yourself? Are you an amazing comedian as well?

  • Well, I'm at least still alive, as opposed to say , O.D. ing on a coke binge as some other "amazing" comedian(s)..Belushi, Candy, Pryor, Kinneson, Prinze (tweaked out blew his brains out), and oh yeah acid head Andy. But you can probably relate as I see you posted at about 2AM so what were you on, unless you're an amazing insomniac. How about when Kaufman wrestled ladies in his long johns?? PURE GENIUS!, wasn't it? And let's not forget that golden moment mouthing the mighty mouse song WOW!

  • Hold it there church lady: why is it your business what I do and when? The "criminals" in your little list were indeed amazing and very unique. What is it you have brought to comedy on planet earth again? Yes, you are alive and wasting your time judging others alright. Fine if you don't like this or that but it's sad how you embarrass yourself with your ignorant comments. You are welcome to worship me in my bedroom anytime you want, that is, if you can make it past your self-imposed curfew ;)

  • lol, dumb bina got owned.

  • How astute remora

  • Tony Clifton...genius! And speaking of wasting time, I'm done with you, by your angry retort you're stung by the truth...cancer/acid..posthumously famous...getting slapped......If he lived he would have started cream pie fights next. Oh oh oh...the ELVIS impersonation..who the blazes would of thought to imitate that guy? Again, GENIUS! And who can ever forget that helium voiced staccato delivered "Tank you very much" He really should have have had a spin-off. It would have been a landmark!

  • I wasn't angry at all, pull the fossilized, 48 year old turd out your bunghole, that may help a bit with your bipolar behavior. You are the one who seems obsessed with all this. By the way, nice YouTube channel you got going over there: 'dumbbina has no videos available', Subscribers: 0... IMPRESSIVE! Ha ha ha ha.

  • Sorry I'm not tuned in like you are. You are the coolest. "fossilized bunghole" You are a razor. And I said before, I'm done with you, now go fire up your pipe.

  • Uh, I don't do drugs, drink or smoke, so, go throw your projections at someone else. I am not a razor, I am a mirror and you are not looking so good around here. Just so you know, it is UP TO ME to decide when this is done. This happens to be my YouTube channel after all? ...and I am the one who can delete your comments anytime and if I felt like it. Chill the hell out and learn to see beauty in things that differ from your super stiff points of view. Go to the corner and finish your food!

  • look, I admit I don't know computer jargon, and I did see this is your channel ( I guess that means you took the trouble to make it) so I'll take your advice. over and out.

  • Don't mess with Andy Kaufman or my channel anymore. Go troll somewhere else and have a nice life! ;)

  • Andy died of cancer. For the record I thought he was hilarious. An original, that's for sure. He had balls and fell flat on his face many times, but that's a true artist in my book.

  • Man on the Moon?

  • Andy Kaufman was one of the best comedians of his time.

  • He wasn't a comedian.He was a Song and Dance man.

    :-)

  • Ha. Ha. Very funny.

No, just kiddin'. You're right. He never once considered himself a comedian. He said that he didn't even know what was funny to people.

    : )

  • He hated the label " Comedian ". He preferred to be called a " performance artist ". He seemed crazy as bat - s**t, but he was an entertainment GENIUS !!!!

  • what is the name of this song?

  • Comment removed

  • The Elvis-Song is "I Beg of You" from 1957

  • Great!

  • the johnny cash appearance is far far superior in my humble one

  • He was always experimenting and even enjoyed "bombing" and tasting the hatred and negative reactions from the audience (when things didn't go "right").

  • I am amazed!! I remember Andy's

"foreign" impressions but had not seen his Elvis impression before. This is

    pretty amazing in my opinion.

  • What's wrong with these people on this show? Awesome

  • They were in the past and he was way ahead in the future!

  • wow.......

  • Damn!!! Very impressive Elvis impers.

  • awesome!!

  • ahe was funny because he was so akward

  • Lol. He was a genius and very underrated.

  • @DMMP28 - Underrated by whom? Andy is well known as one of the best comedians ever.

  • He's just amazing!

  • Ahead of his time.

  • andy ftw

  • Andy Kaufman doing Elvis Presley doing DEVIL HORNS = EPIC!

  • Aw, I wanted him to bow and say "Thank you veddy much" in the end. He was a brilliant man. Annoying at times, brilliant always.

  • Whatever...Andy rocks. He is freaking funny as hell and does great voices.

  • Andy did Elvis better than Elvis.

  • What a talent, apart from his many other skills he is by far the greatest EP impersonator I have seen. They normally irritate me but this guy is brilliant. He must have studied Presley thoroughly because he has so many of his mannerisms and not just the obvious ones. Thanks for sharing.

  • Well said mate! He is the best.

  • On November 9, Andy Kaufman will hold a press conference in New Jersey.

    For more details visit

    andykaufmanlives

  • i cant wait to watch the video of what happens

  • shame nothing happened

  • AND KAUFMANS FUCKING DEAD YOU DUMMY!

  • I honestly think that only god and extra-terrestrials can truly appreciate Andy's humour.

  • because he was spaced out most of the time and even when he wasn't he was WAAAAAAAY out there!

  • Why did they call him man on the moon?

  • Comment removed

  • but why did they call him that?

  • Comment removed

  • Because he was out there. Like he was from another planet.

  • 5 star rating of course!!!!! I didn't realize right away he was doing I beg of You I was thinking Treat me Nice at first!!!!!

  • He's just amazing!!!!!

  • I love the way Andy steals Elvis' own jokes when doing his imitation.

  • Andy was the best comedian of our time!

Elvis liked his impression of him too.

  • The original elvis impersonator lol. That was awesome!

  • The guy in the red t - shrit and cap looks like Tony Danza.

  • THANK YOU VERY MUCH *CURLS LIP*

  • This song was called "I Beg Of You". Look for the original on this site, it will make you realize what an amazing talent Andy was. Did you know that 'The King' thought Andy's impersonation was the best around?

  • What is the name of this song?

  • Andy Kaufman, The "Prince" of Rock 'n Roll

  • what a talent no one like andy
