  • love this method cant wait to try it on my hair. Stay sweet & just know that you are blessed by the best.

  • Definitely gonna try this! I can't do comb coils right to save my life! This looks like a GREAT alternative to that option! Thanks =D

  • I'm going to try this and see if my hair will actually do it. I have difficulty getting the back to stay in regular twists unless I set them on rods so, we'll see how the corkscrew twists do :)

  • I love it, thanks for posting this. I didnt want to use curl formers or flexi rods so this method is perfect and the curls look better anyway, so defined. Ooh i cant wait to try this on my hair

  • Thank you sooo much. My hair texture & density is very similar to yours and separating my corkscrews don't work, so now i will curl them individually. Anyway, this makes a lot of sense for me because as a child my hair would only stay in curls (up till I relaxed) and I hated it, because I wanted plaits like the big children. Now I am natural again and embracing my curls! I can now rock something other than a wash and go. Thanks again

  • Now this is pretty

  • love the earrings.

  • That is soo cute! If I ever lose my mind and have a daughter, she will be rocking this instead of relaxers for sure!

  • tu es vraiment super jolie dis donc :) you are beautiful :)

  • did you use any type of gel for the twist? or you just twist with the oils? I would like to try this style for an event im going to this weekend. thanks!

  • @LovinShia No, I only used what I showed in the video

  • soooo cute imma do this

  • Lovely!!

  • i love the stretchiness of your hair!!

  • love it!!!!!

  • I got so used to doing it this way, i forgot how to do it the REGULAR way. smh

  • NIce look

  • That is kickin!!!!!! I tried following you but it's difficult!! Pratice make perfect!

  • wow real cuuuuute!!

  • I tried this style today....results - OT MESS!!! It is true that a natural never has a "bad hair day" because the mess turned into a rocking afro that I wore with a headband (even got a compliment and 1st request to touch my hair lol). I'm planning to try it again tonight this time I plan to moisture only. I believe that my 4b/c hair was curly enough for this style and I shouldn't have used anything else. Hope it works this time.

  • Love the hair.

  • Where can I find coconut oil and castrol oil!

  • @Sunflower2501 Coconut oil is sold at WalMart in the vitamin section and I get my castor oil from the Vitamin Shoppe (make sure it is "cold pressed, cold processed")

  • @MsVcharles yeah, i get mine from Herbal Planet, they are everywhere seems like, lol!

  • i soo love ur channel it really helps me im 4 months natural dnt have photos posted just yet ur so beautiful an creative

  • Ok I wanna try this..... :-) But in which direction do you twist the corkscrew lol??????

  • @Kupcakeduh Doesnt matter.

  • All I can say is WOW!!!!! Your hair looks great. Keep up the good work. LOVE IT!!!!

  • Love this vid!!! I have wanted my hair like this for a long time!! I don't know how to classify my natural hair but I always get a few areas that just want to fro up....even with my twist outs. I will try this soon and really hope it comes out nice!! Thanks for sharing!!

  • will give this a twirl, looks relatively easy.. i think

  • I love your hairstyles !! Thank you for helping us achieve these fantastic looks !! :)

  • Very cute, plan on trying this tonight so thank you kindly ma'am :)

  • Ms. Vee, I love love LOVE this style!!!! It reminds me of the doodling method. :)

  • @UGoGrl120 Doodling Method??

  • @MsVcharles sorry I meant finger coils.

  • Nice! Might try these on baby girl. ^_^

  • I hope you haven't already answered but did you apply styling gel. I plan to make this my baby girl's birthday style. She will love it. Thanks!

  • @freedomplease No, there was no gel added. Everything that I did on the vid is exactly it. =)

  • Hi Vee, do you have any different air routine in winter time or specific protective styles? Because my hair are thin and dry and they hate winter! Thanks for your advices!! :-)

  • @MsVcharles Thanks for the response. Have a great weekend.

  • so pretty, do you think this style will work on all textures of hair? like mine?

  • @chrisdenayj Try it out sis! Im sure it will look fab. I saw the technique from many women that had textures different from mine as well but whatever the results you just gotta make it work for you. =)

  • omg i love it so beautiful it look like a straw set

  • This came out great

  • Gorgeous. Don't know if it would work on my hair but I love the way it looks. Thanks!

  • I LOVE THAT!!!! I can't wait to take my kinky twists out and give so many of your styles a try!!! Thank you so much!!!! :)

  • isnt it called a rope twist method lol ... theres just so many names these days..so hard to keep up with.. great vid tutorial.

    Thanks ..peace&blessings

  • nice i like it much

  • Lovely.

  • Thank you so much for sharing! I cannot wait to try this :-).

  • cute. I wish I could do that with my relax hair .

  • So cute! Love it!

    ~Lo

  • oh wow your hair turned out soo great. im gonna seriously have to try this next time my hair is out and i do my twist.

  • nice simple and easy and cute i love it i keep twists in my hair so i hav to try this

  • This is soooo gorgeous!!! Great job sis!!!! *huggies* :0)

  • I am definitely going to have to try this. You always have the best natural hair tutorials!!!

  • I tried this and it was a fail.I did it sunday to be ready for monday, and I always forget my hair takes FOREVER to dry ugh! I had to pull it back in a head band to make it look right and go to work. I'll attempt this again friday night so it will be ready for Saturday. Hoping to the best. Mrs. V do you have any suggestions?

  • @bsmart04 The very same thing that you just said...haha. You just have to give your hair an extra day or so to dry. Hope it works well for you. Please let me know how it turns out. =)

  • @MsVcharles I will surely let you know. Fingers crossed.

  • I love the way you film and edit your vids it's so easy to understand.

  • Very cute!

  • so u r actually twisting your hair twice? hmmmm looks cute

  • @dkblck1958 I actually wasnt counting...I just did it...haha. =)

  • Question V...I want to do this but did u do the the coils!

  • @sassie37 My natural pattern is EXTREMELY coily. So for me the results were on the coily side...I did not minipulate my hair in any way other than what was seen on the video. Results will vary depending on one's hair texture. The intent is that it actually looks more like a corkscrew/spiral. =)

  • @MsVcharles I have a 3c texture as well I was asking what product did u appy to your hair before coiling? I saw the hair milk for the frizziness but you didn't say if you used gel or what was used. Thanks

  • @sassie37 Ah I got you...the hair milk is the only product I used. =)

  • Suuuuper CUte... will try.

  • very nice how long you can keep it that way?

  • @LaBintess As of right now Im on day 4 hair and I have it up in a puff. You can follow me on FB (if you want) to see pictures and other updates. Info is in the description drop box below the video. =)

  • thanks for the tip on getting rid of the short bangs!!!

  • @MsChocolatechiplove No prob! =)

  • Soooooooooooo gorgeous!! Great job!!! How long can it last and how do you maintain it?

  • @QuayTheCanaryDiamond Im actually on day 4 hair right now. =)

  • LOVE IT!!!!!! Saturday is wash day but I will move it to Friday so I can try it don't want to look crazy on Sunday morning doing praise and worship...But what did you do @ night to keep it from looking flat and how did u refresh. I know I can rock this one hope it turns out like yours

  • @wladytray I will be posting a video this Thurs with all that information. =)

  • HOW CUTE IS THAT!!!!! LOVE IT

  • Love your hair and your silver hair too!

  • @fareedamariam HAHA...thanks! =D

  • Really pretty, how long does it 'keep'?

  • @pookinapp16 Im on day 4 but Im going for 7. =)

  • Very cute style!

  • Your hair turned out really cute! Great twisting technique! I have to try it sometime!

  • Very nice! I really need to try this. I'm always scared to try new styles, fear that it's not gonna come out right and be a waste of my time.

  • @abenagrell80 Thats how you learn...and the reason I only style my hair on the weekends...lol. =)

  • amazing cute hairstyle!!

  • @LadyYasB Thank you!

  • SUPER CUTE!

  • @LailaniLee23 Thanks! =)

  • This came out really nice. They look like rope twists I have done in the past.

  • @courtcourt1974 Thank you! =)

  • MsVcharles you just good at doing what you do ! You are a very talented lady I have a twa and its very short so I wear the same style everyday and i will be sooo happy when it grows maybe I will be able to do my hair. Its a very cute hair style and i know you have alot more to show I think am able to get coils and i cant even do that but I plan to keep watching your videos to learn i hope someone come up with a gadget for coils to help people like me.

  • @SonnyChild531 Thank you soooo much! And I know what you mean..I was wearing the same style for 6 months straight before I was able to do something different. But what helped me a LOT was the many different accessories I used from headbands, to hair clips. And everyday it never failed that I would hear "OMG your hair is so cute!!!" Check out my video #10 on how I make many of my own accessories with things I buy from my local dollar store. =)

  • That came out really cute! Gave me some ideas for my crazy looking twists. Like how you stretch out the bangs. How long does that style last?

  • @frozenchipmunk4 With any style I do, I wear it from 5-7 days. But it all depends on how well each individual maintains their hair. =) Will be posting a vid on how I refresh and sleep with this style on Thurs.

  • do you do it this way so that the coils will stay in over night. I tired two strand twist in my daughter and my hair and it never stays in. they unravel very easy even more on wet hair

  • @Pride473 I dont have poblems with either twist staying in my hair. This twist out actually gives a different look than a regular twist out. However I have been told that this method helped someone's twist to stay in so it is worth a try. =)

  • Beautiful! Can't believe it only took 20 mintues to take down and fluff.

  • Fabulous!

  • very cute i will be doing this here boo boo lol (too much bball wives with the boo boo lol)

  • @cortrell99 lol

  • Very pretty!!!!

  • Great Video! you are so creative! I would have never thought to use hair combs in that way!

  • very nice!!

  • Wow, this turned out beautifully! Nice job, lady!

  • @shonesters Thanks! =)

  • Super duper cute!! Too much work for me though. Love your videos!!

  • 5 thumbs up! U know I love this right!! The jenesis had your hair with some bling! Beautiful chic...love the make up also super pretty!

  • @sassie37 Thank you! =)

  • Looks great!! :-)

  • I love this look! It looks fabulous!

  • @LadyVMinistries Hope it works out well for you! =)

  • Very nice! i will try this style :-)

  • CAn u please tell us where u purchased your hair combs. I can't find them anywhere :-(. Thanks for this video!

  • @naturalattorney iKnow you asked her but you can usually find " tuck combs " at your local beauty supply store or walmart. = )

  • @nhyetaBNEA Thanks you for answering! =)

  • Thank you for this vid. I will def try this method. Looks great.

  • Very Pretty!! Reminds me of a straw set w/ a lot less work!

  • Love it I will be trying this real soon!

  • Thanks for this tutorial! I was wondering, how woud you maintain the cuteness and neatness of this style for a week if you are exercising at a high intensity? any thoughts? :)

  • @lesgsu I usually wear my styles 5-7 days. With this style it will keep its curls but it will get bigger and frizzier over time (I actually think the "older" the style is the cuter it looks). I personally have not found a way to fight off the affects of exercise to hair other than retwist every other night.

  • @MsVcharles Thanks luv! )

  • BEAUTIFUL!!!

  • V nice!!!

  • oh wow..how about ive been corkscrewing m hair and not two strand twisting it for YEARS!.LOL i do it because my hair id alot like urs but the curl pattern in the back and on the sides is alot looser. So i do it that way to get a better hold and more definition...GO FIGURE! Keep up the good work tho:)

  • About how many twists did you do? I want to try this.

  • @sharai3810 Number doesnt really matter. I just twisted. =)

  • This was cute, cute, cute! You did a wonderful job! You look absolutely fabulous!

  • @TheCraftastical Thank you!

  • Ohhh cool!!! gotta try this after i finish with these mini twist!!!

  • You should try three-stranded twists.

I like them because they're like extra secure twists.

  • @Czathero Someone else said the same thing. I will have to try it out. =)

  • Wow it looks just like rods, which I haven't had since u was relaxed. They charge extra here to rod natural hair.

  • That came out FANTASTIC!! loveddddddddddddd it!

  • @KoriBella Thanks! =)

  • wow, this is really cute

  • Man sometimes I wish I was a civilian so I can try some of these styles you do girl!! So far I've only been able to do the yarn braids... Which I'm putting in again this weekend *sigh* Only 3 more years until I'm (hopefully) able to style my hair the way I want to. Keep up the AWESOME work girl, I'm SUPER jealous but I admire your style and sense of humor SO much ^_^

  • @murasakimegami Aw sis, that sucks! You know what, I dont know much about military dress code, but of you give me an idea of what is generally acceptable I can try to come up with a few styles for those who have to wear covers and etc.

  • @MsVcharles Well from what I understand (it just changed, AGAIN smh), our hair has to be kept neat, like in a bun... Buns can't be more than 3 inches thick; can't touch the bottom of our shirt collar; nothing too flashy; and now I'm hearing that we can't wear kinky twists and braids have to be all the way braided... I've lost track of what is and isn't allowed, and just try to keep my hair neat and not too out there lol.

  • @murasakimegami Very limited I see...lol. Ill see what I can do. =)

  • This was sooo cute! You are right, I don't know if I will get the same results on my hair because I have a different hair texture but it is very cute!

  • was your hair damp when you did this style at the beginning??

  • @NaturallyNaomi1920 Yes, I was styling on wet hair

  • you're sooooo pretty and this is super cute :)

  • @naturelle711 Aw thank you! =)

  • Great video. Thanks - I will try this.

  • you"re soooo pretty!

  • @MzLewisBeauty Thank you! =)

  • loved it

  • Thanks for that tutorial! Great alternative to twists. I am a "transitionalist" (lol) so not so sure if this will work for me yet, but I am soooo ready to try it after my BC in Feb '12. Thanks for all you do (o; Be blessed!

  • @landypd Haha...like that term, "transitionalist"...LOL!

  • very cute!!

  • Nice!

  • SUPER CUTE!!!!!!

  • Very nice!

  • Extremely cute style! Thanks for sharing.
