  • its not boring! :)

  • One of the last truly great prog albums. Totally amazing. Put it on with headphones and absorb it.

  • Love this album. Just put it on, lay down, and let your mind wander...

3/4 time makes me want to dance.

  • @Sykoze I was showing someone this song, and I started reading the comments, and once I read, "Personally, I prefer Canadian music..." I thought, "Oh, wow, that's something-"

    *notices username*

    "Oh."

  • muscle god 3 brought me here...

  • Holy shit. I just found these guys today, and every single song I've listened to so far is at least awesome, at most incredible.

    Wow

  • I feel there is a build up throughout the whole songs, which just keeps me hooked to it. I never got bored of this song. This one is a masterpiece.

  • Best Song for GYM motivation!

  • i love this band.

they sound so out of this world...

  • Melodic!

  • Me thinks this song is quite beautifull...

  • this is unreal

  • @klachi7

lol, that makes two of us... "Im a bodybuilder", right...? XD

  • @Oyvind21 yea yea! bodybuilding is in our blood!

  • what does bullitts dominae mean?

  • @apolloex00 "Dominae" would either be the fem plur nom, fem sing dat, or fem sing gen form of domina, which is Latin for "mistress of the household" or "wife." As to which form it is exactly, I can't say, because the only context clue, "bullitts," isn't Latin at all. The only things I know of that pertain to that word are William Christian Bullitt (1891-1967), a U.S. diplomat and journalist, a bloody great American Thriller film called Bullitt (1968) starring Steve McQueen,

  • @TobiasVailenn the Bullitt Mustang, and Bullitt County, KY. None of these are applicable to the song, at least within sensical bounds. Of course, Jon Courtney writes the songs about dreams he has, so it's probably supposed to be a bit nonsensical.

  • Does anyone know where to find music for The Coast?

  • too beautiful for words...

  • amazing

  • I feel a little smug/sophisticating reading these statistics -

This video is most popular with:

    Gender Age

    Male 18-24

    Male 35-44

    Male 45-54

While I'm a seventeen y/o female. Heh. Regardless, an epic song in the original sense of the word.

  • and I'm 47 and female living in Sweden......

  • In that case, power to you ;)

  • Yes, British bands were always pioneers! I just want to say to all this people that sugest to buy music to support a band, that most of the money you pay go to other people than the band itself. The artist always ends up geting the smallest amount of money from the sales, because the companies take most of them.

And that's a fact! Besides, there are so many ways to support the bands you like, buying their albums is not the only way.

  • i live in the US but i lov music from UK far better

  • does everybody agree when i say that the UK always seems to be ahead of everyone when it comes to music?

  • you'll find great bands like this that come from almost every country. You just have to look for them and not be spoon fed by the radio or TV.

  • Agreed! I can name a number of American bands that have their shit together.

  • @r4scuache yeah i love this band from germany. respect this band has it all

  • @r4scuache u damn right, beatles, led zeppelin, placebo, pink floyd, porcupine tree, rolling stones and so so many others. Of course, America has also many contribution but so so many great bands come from UK...

  • @r4scuache That depends on your taste in music. Personally, I prefer Canadian music to music from the UK, and I know a lot of people who prefer music from Korea or Japan to music from the UK. I don't mean to diminish the quality of the music, but it really does depend on the person.

  • reminds me a little of "The Dear Hunter"

  • great tune

  • there's an invention called record store ;)

  • iTunes has the entire record of The Dark Third, perfectly legal and supporting this tiny hardly-heard-of band, for only 10 dollars. Seriously dude, just save up some money, get an iTunes card, and support the artist so they *gasp* make more music!

  • the artist dont get much benefit from mp3 downloads, still its better for them than downloading it illegally. you supprt the artist most if you go to thei concerts and buy theit cd there!

  • I Agred with you guys, i by every album from the record store. Just for having the art piece in my hands, supporting the band... If you like a band why steel they work?

  • I usually put it in an iron case because of it value.... it's not such a bad thing..

  • While some of you are lucky to live in Europe, where Pure Reason Revolution performs... a few of us live on the other side of the lake and their music is not popular at ALL.

I struggle to find Porcupine Tree at the most comprehensive record store in the area. Finding Pure Reason Revolution would be an incredible piece of luck.

I'm also not allowed to get anything hard-copy off the internet. Ah, parents.

So iTunes is a godsend. The artists benefit off of it a bit at least. Better than DL.

  • Really? Where do you live? At Boarders in Seattle, I can pick up about 80% of the Porcupine Tree albums made (except for the more obscure ones). I'm just wondering if you live way out in the sticks.

But yeah, never seen a Pure Reason Revolution record anywhere. Or anything remotely obscure and interesting, really.

  • I got my Pure Reason Revolution CD's at a local Best Buy. You gotta look around a bit or ask because it's usually put in weird places.

  • You can actually find PT in Best Buy! That's where i've gotten my albums! Will be doing that to get The Incident and Muse's The Resistances next week. Might go tomorrow to see if they still have Nil Recurring...

  • this song turns my musical brain on

  • love this fucking song!!!

  • me too.

  • me too again

  • me too, im hooked? any idea wat its abt sounds realll deep but i like

  • @GeneralFighter911 indeed! me too!!!

  • I believe "bullit" is a term used for the drug speed, ice, crystal meth etc.. so combine it with dominæ and you'll have "Lady/Mistress Meth" or something?

  • Aaaah! i was shocked by the comment..

  • I study Latin... Bullits is not latin at all, at least not that I know, but "dominae" is genitive for "domina", which means "mistress". The translation should be something like "Mistress'Bullits (bullets?)"

    Awesome song however...

  • Awesome song

  • wow, this song is great, i just wish i knew wut bullitts dominae means... sorta sounds like bullets dominate but i dunno, anybody have some suggestions to what it might mean?

  • I was told that in latin bullits was lady and dominae might be earth. I'm not sure about it though, would be nice to know what it ment. I'm still trying to work out what the title of their new album is, the only work i can work out is love.

  • hmm lady earth? mother nature maybe?

  • That is what i originally thought. However it is most likely wrong. Deus Ex Machina means another thing than its litteral translation from latin to english. Maybe Bullits Dominae is the same?

  • hmm good point...

  • Deus ex Machina means "god from a/the machine." It's a figure of speech for being saved unexpectedly from something bad, referring to a thing in ancient Greek theatre where Zues or Apollo or somebody would descend onto the stage via a pulley or something and randomly save the protagonist in the nick of time. Thus, god from a machine. That's what I was told anyway.

  • Totally correct :).

Y'all need to buy this album. Every track is perfect.

  • One of my (many) favourites from The Dark Third, I hope their second full-lenght album comes soon!

  • yes

  • srsly why the comments in the vid? totally unnessesary.

  • AND stupid... music doesn't get "boring"
