  • Thats a nice sounding muffler. What kind is it?

  • My car made a loud pop and then knocked like hell, then stopped running. Now it want start and has a knock. What do I need to do now to get it running again?

  • @Z71Ranger umm might wanna take the block apart and find out..

  • 211,000km is about 126,000miles. (km x 6 = approx. miles)

  • 211,000km is about 126,000miles.

  • So what the fuck is this shyt supposed to do..

  • You're on the wrong side of the street mate.

  • nice shiftin bro

  • nice video, very clean well maintained car you have! Great explanation!

  • 211,000 KM = 131,109 Miles

  • Carbon is formed from raw gas and/or burnt oil. Period. Excessive oil buildup in the combustion chamber can come from several sources. Bad rings, burnt valve seats, bent valves, valve stem seals, etc. Idling in traffic is bad for an engine since they are designed to run at an optimum temp and rpm. Excessive heat build up caused from sitting in traffic for long periods causes detonation and raw fuel not being burned off. this raw fuel condenses on the cylinder head, valve seats and piston tops.

  • magna flow on camry? HAHAAH

  • lucky no one took your camera lol

  • What is the smoke from???? The seafoam or all the crudd it burns out ur motor

  • @dirtydirty505 its pretty much the seafoam cleaning out your injecters, carbon and all of that and seafoam is creating the smoke cuz its cleaning out all the deposits out.

  • doenst really ADD power as much as just RESTORING power

  • THIS IS SO THE WRONG WAY TO DO THIS

  • @DeeeJayThrash how so?

  • @02WRXsuby well first all you need a spray bottle with a Precision needle valve that fits on top. you pour the solvent in the bottle connect it to a vacuum line have the engine at operating temp. set the throttle at about 1500-2500 set the valve so the solvent is used within 8- 15 min once done follow with some fuel injector cleaner and some throttle body cleaner and scrub it down with a toothbrush. that is how a top end cleaning should be done.

  • This treatment may be the opposite of LiquiMoly, Ceratec.

    Cleaning carbon deposits?

Hmmn, carbon deposits are caused by weak spark (bad coil, excessive plug wire resistance), or other compression/ignition related issues.

Carbon will clean itself away once proper engine combustion temperature is attained. Of course, that's my opinion and not a Bibilical rule.

    or

  • @seapeddler Your right but dont forget that a lot of carbon comes from sitting in traffic, not changing oil often enough, improper spark plug gap, dirty fuel injectors, dirly air filter, and dirty pcv valve. Anything that can alter proper fuel air mixture will contribute to excessive carbon build up, because if the motor isnt burning the fuel at optimum mixture levels, than its basically wasting a lot of it and rich conditions cool the combustion chamber and allow carbon soot to build up. JMO

  • @cutl00senc Idling in traffic should not induce carbon buildup. The carbon soot invades the oil because of weak spark, low compression, and bad COP's or plugwires. Carbon tracking on the dist cap and rotor is a sign of weak spark. A large plug gap is fine with a high energy ignition. A normally aspirated gas engine does fine with 200 psi. compression. Rarely do injectors get plugged with the strict filtration. Anyway, oil will stay clean indefinitely with the Amsoil bypass system.

  • @seapeddler idling is bad for engines, and does cause carbon build up, whereas running 70mph(about2200rpm) steady down the interstate for an hour will clean out carbon deposits. oil gets past rings and valve stem seals on all engines(no mater how new), and the small amount that gets past doesnt burn completely, and causes carbon buildups, higher speeds and loads burn this oil more completely, causing less

  • @Texassince1836 It is my experience with the newer engines, that they don't consume near as much oil as the older 70's style motors. New engines have piston to cyl clearances of @ ten thou. of an inch, and @ 180 psi. comp. Since valve geometry is near perfect on newer engines (i.e. Mazda), valve guides do not wear, or begin to wear for over 200 000 kms. So, the only contributor to carbon buildup 'is' faulty ignition components or bad timing, period.

  • @seapeddler the mazda engines have such perfect oil sealing on the valve stem seals(your right) that the valve guide siezes to the valve and becomes nothing more than a pump to pump oil into the combustion chamber, ive seen it happen time and time again

  • @Texassince1836 Modern fuel is formulated with additives to promote cleaner combustion. So, it is my firm belief that Seafoaming is pure nonsense. Using a synthetic oil with a higher flash, or fire point, will keep an engine cleaner too. Seafoam does not repair the damage caused by 2 micron particles such as carbon soot.

A bypass filter filters oil and keeps it clear. Christ, next gimmick will be seafoaming someones' arse, or livestock.

  • @seapeddler modern fuel is formulated with a 10%ethanol mixture, and it doesnt burn hot enough to propperly burn the ethanol. gasoline is full of impurities(ethanol, water, varnish, etc.) which cause the carbon buildups. i tore the heads off my 86 suburban and the combustion chamber was full of shit, caused by gas impurities, dust that gets past air filters(all air filters let dust through to some extent) and etc. modern engines need seafoam as much as older engines too

  • @seapeddler and the oil, have you ever pulled apart a motor with 150,000 miles on it, itll be full of shit no matter how ofter you change your oil, and how good your oil filter is, especially gen 1 chevy smallblocks, because the EGR fries oil, and causes this charcoal like substance to form , and also causes pushrods to become clogged due to this charcoal substance, depriving your engine of oil in the top end, all of this could be avoided by using seafoam

  • @Texassince1836 Or, by designing a newer engine with OHC.

    Just sayin'.

  • @seapeddler

Seafoam is a strong penetrating solvent. As such, it *might* help dissolve carbon and sludge, but I'd be leery about using it in a badly neglected engine. If too much crap breaks loose into your oil at once, you could be looking at a spun bearing or a clogged oil channel. I also wouldn't want to drive around with a solvent in my motor oil, as it would thin it out too much and strip away much of the oil's protective film.

  • you want the engine warm like just driven, and on a car like this take the sea foam in at 2500rpms . then turn car off right after and let sit a half hour then start her up and drive her hard for about 20 mins and your done

  • how was the after effects? did you feel an improvement?

  • Good Vid

  • do a video and drink some sea foam,i want to see you smoke and get cleaned out,ha

  • this is how many miles 124274

  • you guys are idiots. what kind of snake oil is good for crankcase oil or fuel. this shit is good only as a fuel stabilizer for storage

  • wat kind of subs u got looks like a power wire

  • thanks hommie this helped me more then the seafoam company vids!...!!!! I got a 4 cyl Toyota Corolla... so this was dopppe help ty sir

  • oh and ur supposed to leave it sitting for 5 minutes b4 starting it back up

  • 1/3 in brake booster, 1/3 in oil, and rest in gas tank

  • @jessicaburciagishot You dont put any in the brake booster, you only put some in the brake booster's vacuum line

  • that's a pretty damn clean car considering it's age, good video btw.

  • that thing sounded like a motorcycle when you took off down the road haha

  • great video man...

  • I love the 2 door Camry. I didn't know they even made a 2 door.

I am still nervous about putting seafoam anywhere but in the tank?????

  • You're doing it wrong dude. You gotta have another person revving the gas pedal while you pour seafoam into the brake booster line. put half in the line and the other half in your gas tank. Let the car sit for 5-10 mins and then start it up and take it on the hwy and giver till the smoke disappears.

  • sea foam is JUNK!!!! i never put any of these junk in my motor!! Just use fuel injector cleaners or carb cleaner and thats it it helps a bunch more than those stupid step by step shit

  • Seafoam has always worked well every time I used it. STP fuel injector cleaner or other brands of injector cleaners have never made any noticeable difference. Funny how you can say a products junk when youve never used it.

  • Ive used alot of junk and they never worked in fact this one lube stuff i tried it and it acually blew up my engine it screwed up the bearings i had to junk the engine and get a new one.. i can tell you the one that acually does work well is lucas they work the best than any junk but i still wont put anything in my car.. i just use methol to clean stuff out or carb or injection cleaner to spray in the intake and clean it out i never had any problems with my cars when i dont use anything..

  • you're supposed to let it sit for 10 to 15 minutes.. not 1 minute.

  • Seafoam is a good product. I've used it professionally for over 10 years. It does what it is supposed to do which is clean and remove carbon deposits, nothing more. The video was shot WRONG. NEVER induce that much liquid into a running engine. He is lucky it did not damage itself. TheSeafoam should have been slowly dribbled into the vacuum booster hose over about a two minute period. Any smoke comes from the product not the engine itself.

  • What does the Catalytic converter think of this?

  • SNAKE OIL !!! WHAT A F-ING JOKE !!!!

  • jesli zrobicie to silnikiem o duzym przebiegu nastapi rozszczelnienie, a nastepstwem tego bedzie nadmierne zuzycie oleju

  • i dont think all that smoke is from gunk alone most is just the petrolium burnig slowly thats why it takes a while smoking.

  • where do you buy seafoam at

  • I swear by this product. I've been using it for two years on my 1998 Mitsub. Montero Sport. Many many many mechanics & friends tell me the runs extraordinary good. That's because with every oil change I add a pint or can into the gas tank and about 1/3 can into my oil crank case a couple of days before I get change the oil.

  • "seafoam" biggest Gimic to man.....wanna know what all that smoke is morons.....it's being burnt up internally....when poured/sucked up into the manifold. The Cat is actually burning it up like it would when you have oil bypass....DUH!

  • do u know if Z-Max is good ?

  • Look, its the placebo effect. I run a shop to where the only thing that i know actually does the job of removing carbon N crap from engines is a complete carbon cleaning with a special machine that bypasses the fuel tank and runs its own fuel and special detergant until it runs out which takes about 45 min. no gurggling of the engine sounds N crazy smoke coming out the back. Just shoots out the dirty carbon all over the ground after reconnecting the fuel system N slamming it down a little.

  • Otherwise all you really have to do is buy a good Fuel Injection cleaning bottle at your local autozone, like CHevron Techron and use it with some SUPER gas, then take your car for a good beating on the high way. Them Grandma style drivers is what causes the car to develop carbon problems. SLAM IT DOWN ONCE IN A WHILE!!!!

  • I had a feeling about what u said "seafoam" biggest Gimic to man, what if u put that SeaFoam in a brand NEW CAR will smoke still come out or not ? how much is complete carbon cleaning machine cost an where can this be done at ? I am scared to mess with a Cars Engine ,yes i am a moron too, i want to buy SeaFoam an pour it in JUST the fuel tank an thats it ! will smoke come out ?

  • Well i dont see the reason in putting seafoam into a brand new car. If you put it in any car it's going to blow smoke like that. If you buy a new car and you drive like grandpa/ma of course the car will start to develope carbon over time. But if you least beat it up a few times a day/week then the car will be fine. And say each month throw a good fuel injection cleaner into the tank as well. I believe we charge $120 for a complete carbon cleaning of the engine.

  • Ask around a normal shop...dont go to a Jiffy lube or anything, and see who does a carbon cleaning. As far as pouring it into the Ftank im not sure. If the Product is a water based product i wouldnt throw it into the Fuel tank. Double check on that.

  • Not sure if smoke will come out or not, but it definitely wont be as much. Its a pure petroleum product, so it will burn just like your gas will. If you only want to put it in your gas tank that would be fine. Just make sure you have a lot of gas in the tank and only poor about a third or half of the can in.

  • Totally agree with that!!!! neeeed to slam it down let it rev high to burn all the junk out! alot of people dont get this that revin it higher rpm is acually good for the motor it cleans it out and lets it run the proper way i noiced more grandma and pop is bringing cars in for repairs more than teenagers bec they got more problems than teenagers do u ever wonder why? well that explains!!!!

  • at 2:19 tells you you dont have any vacuum leaks lol

  • cars engine looks good for its mileage and year

  • yur brakes are goin

  • im up in the air with this im gonna do it regardless but did it produce any noticeible difference

  • i wana use that stuff in my '91 toyota pickup, it is really good- no dought about that.. for a camry that was a nice sounding car, better than all these brian spillmer fast and furious wanabes with cheap pepboys exhaust tips on their stock civics.. good video

  • Be a good joke to pull on a friend.

  • surprise your camera still sitting on the curb when u come back, haha. nice video by the way

  • 211km =131.1 mile's

  • Then its hardly anything.

  • I added half of the can and waited for 30 minutes before starting it up nut didn't see no thick white smoke. Did I do something wrong???

  • What did you add it to? It will only smoke unless you add it to your intake system. And you really only have to let it sit for 5 min or so...

  • i just bought some and im goin to put it in my old nissan truck

  • wow your car sounds real nice!! is it just stock?? I am very impressed with the sound

  • lucky u have a 5speed coupe!

  • i just bought it today after watching this, bought it at advance auto parts for 8.99 plus tax...im pretty sure they'd sell it at pep boys or autozone, but advance is a block from my house. so yea, goodluck all.

  • do they sell sea-foam at any auto parts store or specific places??

  • any auto parts place should have it, i get it at a nearby auto zone.

  • too much intro talking, that's boring, nearly made me quit watching.

  • Clean ride. You could eat off that motor.

  • Less is more! Small amounts at a time. Someone said this stuff can crush piston rods like hydro lock be careful!

  • Thanks for your vid.

  • You should place the hose into the container first. Then start the engine which will allow for all of the fluid to be sucked up at once. The car will stall out so you wait about 15 minutes for the stuff to setup in the engine.

  • @MCRideout are you trying to get someone to hydro-lock their engine?

  • @fr8trainUS You're only supposed to use a few ounces. Not a gallon, pint or even a cup.

  • Can you put the seafoam into the crankcase and gas tank and into the injection/pcv valve all at the same time? Or u can only do one each time u seafoam?

  • You can do all three

  • Runs good as new.

  • when they say to add a liquid into the crankcase.. like on my ford contour , im getting this liquid to clean the lifters , when it says pour into lifters are they assuming to add it into the oil?

  • yes add it to the crankcase oil.

  • great video and great job answering all my questions :)

  • good vid thanks man

  • Hey dude, what's the party number of your Magnaflow exhaust?

  • the smoke from the exhaust isnt all the crap inside your engine, its the seafoam burning off, its oil based so it smokes when burned.

  • I meant LOL*

  • bitch aSss car LIL

  • I love that hi-tech "shallow container"...lol

  • Didn't see you pour 1/3 into your gas tank and 1/3 into your crank case? Did you do that later or just in the Brake Boost? The other clips I've seen applied it to all 3. Just curious? Thanks...

  • i think something like seafoam is too watery to add to the crankcase. i dont know but i wouldnt want to thin my oil out.

  • i think thats why u have to change ur oil after u do this, lol

  • right but its still very watery.i wouldnt want it affecting the viscosity of my oil.

  • what's the part number of your magnaflow catback exhaust?

they dont make anything for 94 camry...=\

    shed me some light plz

  • thsi car still running today?

  • your so not sepose to rev up you ebgine, and you sepose to let the sea foam in slowly, not let it suck it up from the bottle

  • this rocks.Where do u get this stuff

  • Auto Zone, Advance Auto, etc.

  • nice ! thanks !

  • just gonna let you know that your inline fuse(on the red wire) for your system, should be within 12 inches of your battery...

  • when you take off the booster line, your supposed to hold your thumb on the end so no air can get in, hence it being called a vacuum hose. thats why your engine stalled

  • Damn, i added it to my car today, and the whole damn neighborhood was WHITE..The car started giving me all kinds of codes, until I toook it on the freeway and gunned it. I clear the fault codes, and I already feel a huge difference. By the way, my car is a 97' crown vic. with over 300,000 miles on it...

  • you are supposed to wait 5-10minutes and then start up your car.

  • i think im going to seafoam my 97ford explorer

  • Nice Tut, I was wondering where the brake line vacuum hose thing was.

I've been reading up on TN and didn't find a good tutorial about it yet.

Did you wind up getting better mileage for your car?

And sweet exhaust, was it easy to change?

  • well if you cant find where the brake line vacuum hose thing is (the brake booster line)then you shouldnt be doing something like this...

I got better mileage, better acceleration and smoother idle/powerband.

I had the exhaust done by a shop but its fairy easy to do yourself (except you cant find the brake booster so watch my vieo more carefully)

  • I'm confident, I'll admit I don't know squat about cars, but everyone's gotta start somewhere.

I made a thread on TN to clear up somethings, it doesn't look that difficult.

  • hey what kind of muffler is that on your camry? its sounds pretty good

  • magnaflow catback - very good reviews

  • mm thanks for posting a step by step guide on this...i've been curious about it for awhile now. also agreed nice exhaust. i've got a 94 4cyl camry with 155,000mi on her...this should help out a bit.

  • I've been adding SeaFoam to my gas tank and oil crank case and have felt and seen good results. This time I added SeaFoam exactly how this video teaches you and my engine (1998 Montero Sport) runs A LOT better... without a doubt its much smoother. I did get tons of white smoke, so much that the neighbors got out and looked to see what was happening, hahaha. Bottomline, I recommend this product and video!

  • omfg i dont care what it says!

  • Btw, 211,227 km = 131,250 mi

Your exhaust is rockin, man... Where'd you get it?

And also, great video, I just might try this. And I didn't know about Toyota Nation until I watched this video; now I'm a regular user :P

  • that video answered all of my questions i had about seafoaming my car, thanks =]

  • thanks a bunch man. ive been curious about seafoaming for a while. gonna give it a try on my 98 corolla.

  • no no this is very popular stuff and i havent been able to find any side effects for this stuff for any vehicle

  • cleans every thing? will it eat ur fuel filter or any thing?

  • I love the stuff..Glad it worked out well for ya.

  • So how'd it run after the seafoam.

  • better acceleration, my fuel milage went up 3 or 4 points, my idle is perfect now

its great stuff and i was wary of using it but i gave it a try and its all good now so definately give it a try

  • hey man nice camry i can tell you kept it in real good condition, anyways i have a 96 camry with the 4 cylinder and i was wondering wear did you buy that muffler for it? I've been looking for a muffler just like yours for mine for a long time so please let me know where you got it! Thanks

  • Good work man, thanks for reppin the nation.
