@userunlimited What I have heard, PIA pilots are very experienced, that POA don t have proper maintenance have been confirmed by german aero-safety engineers at Frankfurt airport(old A310 & B747), probably with new B777S this problem has been solved, as far as Pakistan-Europe flights go. You will see some videos here on YOUTUBE about delays and malfunctions on PIA s A310 flights. Bangladesh Biman also have problems with this rather old aircraft.

@solomonpilot767 Thats true but even the most modern Airbus and Boeing gets old..and some PIA aircrafts are old..now with maintanence they can expand their technical lifespan but after a while old aircrafts become uneconomical or in service terms obsolete..Look at Bimans DC10 that break down all the time and arenoisy and use more fuel than modern beoings like 777S.

@hcigroup PIA is a 3 star airline, what do you expect lol but if you fly from Manchester, JFK or London then you get to go on the 777.300 which is one of the newest plane in the fleet just like emirates and everything works and customer service has improved a lot when I went this year also customs in Pakistan is quicker and more efficient so yes PIA is getting better but slowly and it will take time to be a airline like Emirates or Qatar Klm etc

@umarkkkk Well Qatar Airways is also good. I flew once via Doha to Lahore from Heathrow. The only bad thing about Qatar Airways is that baggage allowance they offer is just 20 kg whereas PIA offer 30 kg. Moreover PIA allows one date change free. PIA offers immediate connections for Peshawar from Lahore, Karachi & Islamabad. Next time you should try it.

If you recall, PIA air hostesses never wore dupatta around their head except for General Zia's radical Islamic years, 1977 - 1986. Other than that, since inception in 1954 until today, dupatta has always been worn around the neck (or as in the 60s, sewn-on). In fact, mid-60s uniform was designed by no less than world-famous French designer Pierre Cardin himself - no dupatta there thank you !! Cardin's design was so popular the pajama cut became known as "PIA Pajama" nationwide !!
