When I was in 3rd and 4th grade in Southern Indiana, my 3rd grade teacher made sure all of us knew our multiplication tables. Then my 4th grade teacher extended the multiplication tables to 12x and had everyone learn short and long division. That was nearly 10 years ago in a better elementary school. Nowadays, you have kids who do not even know what 5 x 5 is in 8th grade! It's crazy that education and morals are going downhill. As they sing, "I WANNA BE, IN A SECULAR WORLD!" - Po-ke-mon joke!

It really varies if public or privte schools are better, many privte schools are great, but some arn't all that great either.
