The playoffs were not front-page news, and the only indication that the Flyers even existed was ONE license plate holder. Philly is not a hockey city.

I was IN Philly at the time; I saw the papers. Philly has four teams; were the other three in the playoffs at the time? No? It's not a BAD thing to not be a hockey city. Most aren't. I'm not trying to insult where you live. After Buffalo and St. Paul there is simply a huge drop before Detroit, and after Detroit it's a bigger drop to Philly and Pittsburgh. If I leave my house on a game day in the playoffs, 80% of people will be in Sabres gear. In Philly, the day of Game 1 of the ECFs, I saw zero.
