  • praque porra tiraram o olho dela nem pra ela levantar e matar vcs

  • HERE'S A THOUGHT, HOW ABOUT SEDATE HER AND GIVE HER THE NORMAL AMMOUNT OF EYE DROPS THAT IS NEEDED THEN PUT HER BACK IN HER HOME

  • @CC25Y This would need to be done at least twice a day and so would not have been feasible.

  • @BigCatRescue oh, I didn't know that, well then yeah I guess this would make sense! That sucks!

  • @CC25Y You are an idiot.

  • @cylaisawesome why am I an idiot? I only suggested something, I didn't know the full circumstances, and I don't follow the black leopard much less any leopard

  • i feel so sorry for the black leopard

  • Ahhh that looks very painful. :/ how is bagheera doing now?

  • @KlareAquaTea She made a full recovery from the surgery and was doing well, unfortunately she has passed away since this video was made :(

  • @BigCatRescue RIP Bagheera. Our house cat had an eye removed due to a herpes infection, so I thought this was very interesting.

  • guys my name irl is leopard not lying

  • If eye-drops as a medication were considered as having a potential of angering Bagheera, why Bagheera wasn't anesthetized before a treatment wih eye-drops? I think that this could be a better solution than removing the eye-ball.

  • @shailevi8 There was no way to save the eye, it was painful, the best solution was to remove the eye so Bagheera would be more comfortable.

  • @BigCatRescue Even if Bagheera could have been anesthetized in order to use eye-drops, do you think that the level of the glaucoma was non curable despite that?

  • @shailevi8 Definitely, this was the best option, we could not sedate her constantly, this just isn't practical or safe for the animal :)

  • @EThelTanJadeLene Black panthers are black leopards or black jaguars :)

  • So sad!

  • :(

  • Have sorry.

  • I am happy to see she is fine.It is so sad,I would donate 5,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 dollars, but I don't ave enough money, and I want to say you guys are my heros.

  • Awesome video it shows u guys care about the animals what an awesome job!

  • Hi,

My name us Katie I am 13 yrs old and want to become a vet. I watched the surgery and didn't even flintch at the sight of it. But it looks hard to do and I think I wont be able to do it. So even though this sounds stupid, what is the best vet school? I really want to know. Because I want to make a difference that this vet did.

    Please respond

    Love

    Katie

  • also, was her eye lids sewn shut completely? i noticed when she was blinking the other side didn't really move, but then near the end i saw it did, i could't really tell

  • poor kitty :,< but at least pain is gone

  • what happened to its eye any ways?

  • @lightingrings Bagheera had Glaucoma so the best case for her was to remove the eye and remove the irritant without any other treatments and stress :)

  • whay are people taking pics?

  • @darren882211 For our records to document the surgery and also to include in our newspaper the big cat times.

  • u guys know better than me,

but if u didnt have another leopard eye to transplant, u should have put a fake eye, so she can use her eye lid normally

  • That looks very painful, you dont look careful either but im sure you guys do a great job. im only 13 and im very amazed how nice you guys are to these animals, after seeing meet your meat part 1 and 2 this is just amazingly nice

  • i really love animals and i WANT to take care of them,

i would've learned veterinary if i wasn't so afraid of the sight

of the insides of a living, breathing being.

despite the warning i tried to watch and i just couldn't, i turned my head around.

i don't remember the word for it but i think i'm blood-o-phobic (afraid of blood).

even seeing that long tube going into her throat seemed gross to me,

but at least she feels better now, and that's what matters :)

  • Aww!

You did such a GREAT job!

    ;)

  • Aw, poor thing. Certainly wouldn't want her to go blind though. Thank you for helping these animals.

  • @Kyder Yep, it looked pretty gruesome, but she's much better off now that the eye and pain are gone :)

  • @BigCatRescue Good. I'm very happy to hear that. She has another chance of life. Well in a way at least. One pain free. Which is always a great thing. :) And as I've said in multiple videos you all have posted, thank you very much for what you all do. Wish I could be a part of the team, helping those animals and all that.

  • never saw anything that bloody

  • my domestic black cat had the same problem, he has one eye now. He's so happy and healthy now though.

  • @rainbowspite222 Glad your cat is feeling better!

  • I love panthers just as the next lover,

    but that was GROSS!

  • freakin great job!! =) bloody surgery, but thats reality! thanks for helping these cats!

  • es increible la labortitanicade esta gente ycon cuanto amor y cuidado realizan su trabajo

  • Bless you guys. Our Djelita a 19 old Sumatran Tiger in our care is also getting up there age wise and we worry about her. Bless you for what you do!!

  • I couildn't watch this video (lol)....I am a little too squeamish.

I am glad that you people at BCR take such good care of these cats. It kinda restores my faith in humanity (just a little), though these cats would be able to live in their natural habitat if it wasn't for people, so go figure...

Thanks for keeping us updated. I love seeing how the cats are doing!

  • Poor kitty ;_; I'm glad you help big cats... If I was living in the US I'd sooo'd like to become a volunteer of your organization.

  • Thanks for caring for these beautiful animals!!!

  • Thanks for caring for these creatures! I foresee that soon, the only place for these great animals will be in captivity.

  • very educational and well documentated. I hope the cat lives out her life happy and pain free.

  • how did she get that?

gross... lmao (yea i saw the warning lmao)

good shes not in pain anymore =]

how long to black lepords live until if shes 20?

  • @nickigw94 She's getting up there now in terms of age, in the wild they wouldn't live this long, probably 10-12 years, in captivity this can be doubled, because of the good care and diet they receive. We did have a cougar that lived to be 29 years old!

  • @BigCatRescue wow! it doesnt bother her that she only has 1 eye?

  • I love how you worded it lol. Im glad you explained it a ltitle better because if not we would have little immature people commenting on here saying its animal abuse.

Lol im glad shes going to live the rest of her life long and happy though :)

  • Bagheera is a truly beautiful lady! I'm so glad she recovered well and is now pain free. Twenty years old, that's amazing! Thanks for posting.

  • Looks like her other eye is infected. Its pussing and watering and she is rubbing it. That is sad :(

  • @ScentedOil No it's not pussing her other eye is perfectly fine :)

  • She's beautiful, with a house kitty tummy pouch and all! It must be difficult to diagnosis pain in animals, huh? These guys must get really grouchy when they're hurting! Thank you for taking care of her, keeping her healthy and safe.

  • Her ears look small and wavy. Are they ruffled from some kind of damage? Do the previous owners ever visit the cats they weren't able to take care of? If they surrender their cat via court order, are they also ordered to never have another wild animal, or can they just get another one?

  • Have a happy life Bagheera. I hope shell be able to see with her other eye for the rest of her happy/better life.

  • Awesome work guys! Beautiful Black Leopard. I am sure Bagheera is very thankful :-D

  • what a brave kitty cat

  • Im glad you guys do these things for these animals : )

  • there goes her optic nerve...

  • My mom explained to me about a show of why the man killed his horse: if he doesn't kill it, it will live for a week, suffering from its sickness so kill it before it suffers too much. Having a eye is better than none. I dislike humans who think ANY beautiful/big/wild animal can be THEIR pets. They deserve their own lives!

  • Blech!!! I should have paid attention to the warning. Thank god for anesthesia! And pain killing drugs.

I'm happy for the kitty. But I'm still going to throw up. (8^(

  • She my bad *

  • Aww poor kitty hopefully he is doing well now. Should it be eye for an eye?

  • Congratulations for this video!

    very nice....

    still helping animals BigCatRescue!

and sorry for my bad english

  • @MarioLucinho THANKS FOR WATCHING!

  • I'll say it oe a I'll say it again, surgeuns are only second to god.

  • many years ago my husband developed uveitis following an accident we were in-also already had spinal condition related to arthritis that had not been correctly diagnosed. the eye doctor at Wills Eye hospital in Philadelphia that correctly diagnosed the uveitis said stress from the accident on top of the arthritic problem probably caused the uveitis.(the back of my husband's head hit the glass hard in our old truck in the accident also.)Fortunately, his uveitis was stopped with steroid eye drops.

  • @bsl103158 I'm glad the uveitis was cured with eye drops :)

  • @BigCatRescue Thanks for the reply! - yes, my husband was 38 when we were in that accident, we were appalled when the whites of his eyes went all red and he was in real pain.. the dr at wills eye made the right diagnosis after another one in the suburbs here didn't quite guess it. I forgot to say that this lovable black leopard is about the cutest thing on wheels, isn't she?? prrrrrtt?

  • You guys do so much for your cats! It's really very admirable.

  • I'm not familiar with animal physiology but how does one know if it's feeling pain / discomfort or not? I understand it's obvious with the glaucoma and other complications but how do we know that it feels much better after surgery?

  • @t33fah We observe our animals and know them well enough to see when they are not feeling good.

  • poor thing..:(

its so sad that buetiful cats get them things...

  • Poor Baggie. Hope she recovers well!

  • you folks are amazing. thank you for all the wonderful work you do for these majestic animals!

  • Good god, that is a lot of blood.

  • What happened to her ears? Frostbite?

  • @ridingisasport we're not sure how the damage to her ears was caused, maybe if cats share common cage walls and they rub on them their neighbors could nip at them?

  • i really want to watch this but am scared for what i might see. i paused the vid before it started but wanted to give you a thumbs up anyway for your great work.

  • It's a shame that someone would have taken a black panther as a pet.

  • woah dude! I'm glad i'm not a surgeon!! good job BCR mission success!

  • this is exactly what i want to do for a job; saveing the big cats

  • @MissWaywardKitty Well someone agrees with me (well i AM the #1 cat and big catlover in the WORLD!)

  • Beautiful :) Looks like my little kitty :)

  • Sad face...

  • I knew jaguars could be black but I never heard of a black LEOPARD.

  • she is beautiful, though it sickens me that they declawed her, lets declaw them, how about that, and you can tell that they just didnt care,or loved her at all, i still cant comprehen why owners of any animal must abuse, neglect, there pets of any kind, at least now we know she is in better hands, and with time she will come to know that,

  • Pal, this vid is sick. I don't agree with this spectacularization, above all if it involves gore scenes. I hope that leopard will be well after.

  • omg i did not think they where taking it out completely

  • What happened to her ears, they look like they were cut or something.

And, thats sad, but im glad she no longer suffers. (:

She can still see outa her left eye, which is great.

This is just another example that people shouldnt have wild animals as pets !

  • @Tigerluv6108 we're not sure how the damage o her ears was caused, maybe if cats share common cage walls and they rub on them their neighbors could nip at them?

  • you Mr. Host man person, lol im sorry i dnt kno ur name, but i was just wondering, r u a zoologist of some kind??

  • @da12nvmp Are you talking about Scott Lope?

  • @BigCatRescue is he the host person?? i think thats his name i cant remember

  • @da12nvmp Yep Scott was the host on this video, I don't believe he has a zoology degree or anything like that, he just has an enormous amount of experience working with these cats!

  • @BigCatRescue ahh ok, hes so lucky

  • I can see the spots on her fur in the lights, and What do you do with the eyeball after it is taken out? Also, did the previous owner cut her ears or something cause they look like they were cut off

  • @Jamiegirl1315 Yep, more like a chocolate leopard, not a black leopard. The eyeball will be examined more closely, we're not sure how the damage o her ears was caused, maybe if cats share common cage walls and they rub on them their neighbors could nip at them?

  • My friend was telling me today how his cousin in California had a baby hybrid tiger, and he didn't understand why I was not okay with that. I told him what happens when the tiger gets large, he said it would be really cool, I said is it going to be cool when he attacks your cousin?

  • @ih4t3su Exactly, not to mention the fact that they cost over $7000 a year to feed!

  • What happened to her ears???? D:

  • @bubblegumbum We're not sure, they were like this when we rescued her.

  • Bagheera.. such an appropriate name for a beautiful panther. Look at that gorgeous arch at 3:37 - 3:40.

  • Wow , amazing video.

  • Aww was this the same kitty shown on the History Channel piece? Glad that the loss of the eye didn't impact the cat negatively and she is happy and healthy now.

  • @Hermyoni33 maybe, the History Channel have filmed at the sanctuary many times, but we have several black leopards.

  • awe. that poor baby ]:

Hope all is well for Bagheera

    <33

  • These maltrated animals... :(

  • ahh, won't she die earlier now that she doesn't have an EYE?

  • @Hackiesacker007 No this procedure will have no effect on her lifespan.

  • Is she blind in his right eye ?

  • @Meghann25 she doesn't have a right eye! what have you been watching for 4:06 mins??

  • @mkwlord When it warns that there are images that may offend, I'd rather not watch, because I'm rather sensitive. So I have seen the beginning and end. Not worth to be aggressive like that!

  • @Meghann25 Yes she was and it was causing a lot of pain, so we decided the best thing was to remove it :)

  • A black leopard is the same as a panthera???

  • @nanushka yup

  • @nanushka

Nope , black leopard is a leopard , panthera is a panter.... 2 different species.

  • @MuerteyMalevolencia @nanushka There's no such thing as a panther, this is just a name that as been adopted by people. Panthera is the genus of the big cat (lion, tiger, leopard etc..) There are black leopards and black jaguars, but people call them black panthers.

  • @BigCatRescue

Yup iknow , that guy ask - the black leopard and panther are the same?? - i write: Nop , black leopard is black leopard , but the fac is panther is a leopard and tiger , panther are all cuz we adopted that nick name 4 all black-big-cats , LIKE ALWAYS Thanks - BIG CAT RESCUE I Love U All .i give a donation the last week. 50 100.plz save this animals.

  • @BigCatRescue thank you so much for the explanation, I wasn't sure if they were different species or the same. In spanish, people also call black leopards "pantera" and therefore I was confused. Thanks again!! :)

  • @nanushka There's no such thing as a panther, this is just a name that as been adopted by people. Panthera is the genus of the big cat (lion, tiger, leopard etc..) There are black leopards and black jaguars, but people call them black panthers.

  • hehe i love the fact the black leopard was named after the one in the Jungle Book. That's just horrible, i find declawing a very painful and useless thing to do! why would you own a cat if you don't want it to have claws? it's like getting a dog and you don't want it to bark or bite so you remove it's voice box and teeth.. i see it as cruelty for self joy. Glad the leopards are safe with BCR <3

  • wow, She did it like it's easy.

    I know it's not..

    This is an amazing VDO!

  • wow. that sad. well. it good thing cat is in better shape now :)

  • i love her Name :)

    I'm glad she feels better

  • i think it's easier for me to watch on humans.....does that sound sick?

    GOD BLESS BIG CAT RESCUE!!!

    i'm cryin too FruittisMaris

  • :'( It's terrible how much pain we put animals through for our own entertainment.

  • My late cat Tubby had the same eye missing. He was adopted with one eye, but his previous owner (who passed away) had the bad eye removed at the vet. The vet in my town says he must have been a great owner because the procedure to remove a eye is very expensive.

Videos of Tubby the one eye wonder are on my accout.

  • a BIG applause to you guys and all you do for the animals in your care!

  • @marierotar THANKING YOU :)

  • Graphic indeed, but I love how far you all went to help this single, twenty year old, cat. It's a beautiful thing.

  • She looks like a kitty pirate! Such a beautiful animal. Too bad humans have a habit of wanting to own anything they find that is beautiful.

  • @peachy6969 That's true, Pirate leopard of Tampa! ???

  • get well soon

  • good decision... good to see she's not in pain today

  • My favorite animal over all! God makes the most wonderful creatures!

  • I feel sorry for Bagheera, but at least now she suffers no more and can see with her left eye :)

Congratulations to you guys, you do such a great work to keep your cats healthy and happy!

  • @cricricricricricri She's an old girl and it's nice to know she isn't in pain anymore and leopards don't care what they look like :)

  • Thank God for you guys! you do such good work for these beautiful cats!

  • Boy this is tuff for me to watch but I'll tell you what you show more love and concern for these animals then there captures did. A Big Thumbs Up To You!!!! P.S. I'm crying just watching this!

  • @FruittisMaris Thanks for watching, we do the best we can for our cats :)

  • Another proof of how crazy people are to have exotic animals as pets. :-(

I feel for her. ♥ such a majestic animal.
