2:55 its actually the Glassing beam from the covenant ships in the game 'Halo' the ships send a super heated beam of plasma that melts pretty much anything and leaves a glass like substance behind, hence the name 'glassing' and the beam on Minecraft leaving behind glass.

I downloaded the mod, 2.0 version, newest version, and it only gives me the hammer of dawn glasser-glass-creating-glass-g­lass beacon plasma things. Which I love, but it gives me no Novabomb, Nukes, and *sobs q-q* No Biomebuster. *Writes help me on wall in blood*

@Pheenixm16 Well not really because one scatterbomb could almost take down a whole island by itself. The beacon is strong but it dont have enough power and radius compared to the scatterbomb. I liked the animation for it though, how it falls from the sky. I'm impressed by the mod don't get me wrong. Its that the scatter bomb was meant to be a super explosion that can easily erase a whole mountain from the game. You should know the results if you actually used it yourself. ;)

2:58 the reason it turns to glass is because well, if you have sand and you put it in a furnace, you got glass, so the laser must be super warm and it creates glass!
