Paul Barnett once said, "Balancing games is a lie." WoW's main mistake was trying to balance the game to multiple extremes. And, besides that, bright wizards take a SHIT LOAD of damage. They're not OP in any way. Most of the damage is self inflicted to boot.

you can't watch their trailers and expect the game to look like that. the trailer is there to show you the theme, and basic idea that the game follows. One of the things WAR did that isn't very common is that they actually showed things u can do in game... such as orc-a-paults squig armor and so forth.

i agree, blizzard are in it for the money now... i mean the game is so succesful because you kill for loot that you can use to kill tougher enemies and get better loot with and that just repeats but it traps players in as they are constantly tryin to beat emselves... but there aint nothin new comin to wow but levels, gear and quests.

Well, I think it is based on opinion when you said wow sucks compared to this game. WoW is pretty good, it is the best game on the market.

And ya, these guys, Mythic, want money, but not as much as WoW. Mythic is delaying the game like a ton of a lot because they want to release the best possible game they can release. If they were making WAR only for money, they would have released it last year.

This is a video of gameplay from the BEta. In Beta's they always have the game on the lowest settings and do not implement all the lighting effects until closer to release. The game looks better than WOW though already :P

I'm not sure whether you're referring to the art and look of the game (In which case it was Warcraft and Blizzard that copied the look of Warhammer, not the other way around) - Or the gameplay, in which case you should go and check out all the different features they're putting into the game, I mean it's a PvP/RvR focused game, not PvE - how much more different from WoW can you get?

I know its still in beta stages but their current release date is within the next few months so I would have thought they could bring out some nicer animations to really keep us hooked.

You do REALIZE that they dont do anything with tuning graphics till right before the game is finished, Theres no shading or any of that stuff that makes graphcis good in the game right now. Once the game gets close to being 100 percent complete they fix the graphics.

Well...they always turn down the graphics all the way in BETA. When they get closer to the release date they will add in the shading and all of the little details to spice it up. As it stands now, it looks like WoW, a little better even. Once they put the finishing touches on it, im sure its going to kick ass. Besides the gameplay is already kick ass if you really like PvP

Lol... you think the classes are lame, I think they are way more unique than WoW's.

Firstly, all tank classes can actually stand infront of a mob, and the mob won't be able to get through.

Second, each class is unique in some way. The swordmaster, dances while fights, although not very graceful yet, they will make the animations better.

Engineers, with there medieval-ish guns. They also carry wrenches to fight with.

And fighting will be more skill dependant, instead of gear or lvl.

That's rubbish. It isn't MORE skill dependent than gear and level. A level 24 with good gear will still beat the living shit out of level 18 with not so good gear, even if he is less experienced.

They said they want to bring your skill into it so its an important factor and not just pressing a button but they said it will be JUST AS important as your gear and level. Don't go thinking you can take on something bigger and stronger than you just cos you can play your class a little better

I played Vanguard, with 1 gig of ram, I never ever lagged, except sometimes in towns, but 50 people on screen didnt make me lag.

And they are going to give a huge range of graphics.

And they said something about increasing ram effeciency by 40% or something. They said this game can be run anywhere from low spec computers. Most of there testing is in mid-spec comps, and they experience little to no lag.

There will be dungeons and raids. Like bosses where you get like 20 people and go kill them. Some dungeons will also be like puzzels, instead of just, run through the dungeon and kill everything on your way.

There will also be city raids, not instanced, actual city raids, that unlock hidden quests and dungeons.
