The steering wheel on this car is very awkward, so holding it at 9 and 3 isn't really possible. its more of a 8 and 4 or 10 and 2 feel. I'm not a fan of the paddle shifters hesitation and sometimes just plain ignoring your input. There is also massive torque steer if you accel hard during low / 0mph speeds. The interior, however, does look good. The leather stitching in the seats is great, and I'm positive this car can run better then 15.7 stock. Probably 15.4 stock. Its a good car, and a US one

This new 2010 Ford Taurus is based off of the Volvo S80 platform and chassis, and it's been reported more than once that the car is as quiet as the cars from Japan. That's nothing to just dismiss as if it's no big deal. Have you actually SEEN this new car in person? I have, and if it didn't have the Ford logo on it, it could easily be mistaken for a 2010 Toyota, Honda, or Nissan. If you bash the styling, you also must hate the styling on the Camry, Maxima, and Accord. This car has truly evolved.

1 thing it lacks, unfortunately, is a sense of spaciousness. The imposing cowl and shoulder-high beltline have always limited visibility with this vehicle architecture, and it's now accentuated by a lower hip point for the driving position. Meanwhile, the massive transmission tunnel imposes a narrow, cockpit-style slot upon each front-seat passenger. And since you're made to keep your feet in carefully defined wells just like in an SUV, it's way too easy to wonder where all the real room went.

The new Ford Taurus is very nice...but, you'll have to see the Linc. MKS is person. I saw one Thursday afternoon with a cherry red color...and, that vehicle is verrrrry nice(interior and, exterior)!!! It's more elegant and, classy than, the Taurus(not to mention, sort of sexy)but, I think, Ford's done a great job on both cars. ;-)

But even the FWD SE version has 265 HP, and is faster than the Base charger RWD Model.

the base Charger has a useless 178hp. if you're talking about the SXT, that's the 250hp 3.5 liter V6 and probably only 200hp at the rear wheels. in terms of luxury, appointments, mpg and all that, yes, the Taurus blows the 300 and charger out of the water. but i'm talking about sporting performance. there's things you can do in a RWD car that you can't in FWD based AWD car. that's just facts. i'm not even talking about straightline speed

dude, the Taurus is on a FWD based platform. trust me. AWD does give more grip, but it doesn't mean better weight distribution. it just means more grip and power to all for wheels for better handling, which also depends on the car. the SHO is probably better than the R/T in a straightline. but the car is so nose heavy and it's AWD system only does a 50/50 split at most. so if you understeer, you can't correct with with a dab of throttle like RWD. you know i'm right. don't deny it

Cost is definitely not a disadvantage for the Taurus SHO, it is a full-size car so it is going to be heavy of course. It isn't meant to tow. The only reliability issues for the 2010 SHO were from a test compared to the Crown Victoria, but it was for police duty, and not civilian use.

As for the drive train, I've never heard anything bad about it or any power loss.
