As mentioned this is NO near miss and is normal operating in RVSM airspace. I'd actually like to see the video re-named as its misleading and incorrect. Regards
I wasn't kidding. Ryanair are crap. I've read so many near miss stories about this airline that I'd never again get a Ryanair jet, that and the fact that their customer service is appalling, and their staff rude. I guess you can make allowances for their staff, they probably get paid in magic beans!
the 'near misses' hav nothing to do do with ryanair..its the air traffic controllers who asign them their altitudes...not near misses nyway, almost impossible for planes to collide with all the purpose built technology they use
'"Near miss" doesn't make any sense unless planes actually collide. A collision would mean that the planes had nearly missed each other. What we're seeing here is therefore technically a "near hit".'
That is nothing close to a near miss, stop using dramatic titles just to get views, that is an everyday, unremarkable occurrence. And i hope whynotindeed777's comment was a joke.
Ryanair have a near miss every other week. I think they pay their pilots €10 an hour so they get the guys who had to take the pilot exam 10 times before the instructor got sick of seeing their faces and passed them.
You obviously haven't a clue what your talking about. Ryanair operations are the most challenging of ALL european airlines ! Big airplanes, always full because of the low fares, always 'tankering fuel', small airports with short runways, terrain, no ILS's. Ryanair pilots have to be able to cope with all that !
@whynotindeed777 you could suck a ryanair pilots dick for such a retarded comment! ;) for those who dont know - most of europe operates RVSM airpsace "Reduced Vertical Seperation Minima" which is 1000ft. There is no risk of collision. Additionally all commerical aircraft are fitted with "TCAS". It shows all traffic around far before you can actually see it and it gives traffic advisories and resolution advisories in case of conflict.
yes, but for example in RVSM airspace the minimum vertical separation between aircraft on different flightlevels is 1000ft, approx 300meters, nothing special about this really..
Thats no near miss you div bomb.... Its quite usual and likely to be 2000 feet difference.

Idiot title, this video depicts normal traffic, at least 1000 feet below, you don't know anything about planes. Sorry.

no near miss, but rare footage. Not many people actually see other planes while flying.

Near miss my arse. That plane is at least 2000feet below, and the pilots of both planes would have been aware of eachother.
