  • These horrible techniques from these horrible crossfitters...

  • I dont approve barefoot liftig. ,this is oly lifting after all and yout foot needs to be fixed properly. its your own security question...

would love to see new vid about how the form has changed.

  • That was ghastly! Please inform your coach to hang themselves!

  • This is one of the SEXIEST things I have EVER seen

  • holy shit, perfect example of crossfail

  • bad technique. bar travel is too forward. no full extension. learn regular power cleans first.

  • U should be wearim shoes

  • atrocious form

  • Was looking at the profiles of all these people coming down sooo hard on this ladys form. Figured for sure it would be chock full of the users own olympic lifts....haha

Also, I realize she may not have perfect form, but please explain what makes her form so horrible "you need eye bleach". I am new to the lifts but do have a pretty good coach(USAW not CrossFit). It looks good to me but perhaps I am missing something...or is it just the hate for CrossFit.

  • The form...THE FORM!! Oh god, it's so terrible, I'll need some eye bleach.

  • If the weight on the bar was challenging, then she would have fallen forward every single time. I think she needs to work on her front-squat technique.

  • it looks more like a dance move how she does it, its almost not enough weight for her to do it right

  • i love when people get mad at crossfitters..it's like they're angry that we're using their lifts. sure, her form isn't *perfect* but it's pretty good for someone who's also touching on gymnastics, running, power lifting, cardio, et cetera. when one of you oly lifters can run a mile in under 6:30, do a muscle up, and also do this then you can talk. crossfit is still in its beginning stages but the truth of the matter is that its goal is overall fitness which it is easily achieving.

  • lol i was taught by 3 or 4 different coaches in highschool and this is how we were taught...and im pretty confident it is the right technique if its a hang clean (to stomp the feet)

  • Fine, fine woman.

  • Another Crossfitter with a coach who's letting her down... Learn how to hang clean from an Olympic lifting coach and this'll be a MUCH more productive exercise for you!

  • @madaozeki

Crossfit has funneled more athletes and interest into olympic lifting has over the last five years than olympic lifting itself has. Nibble the hand that feeds you, but don't bite it.

  • @decadyne Irrelevant. She's doing the exercise incorrectly and it's not benefitting her in the development of strength, speed or power, and if used for endurance, will be dangerous like this. She appears to have good flexibility and the ability to hit the proper positions, so why not learn to do it right? I've coached several Crossfit athletes to do the lifts properly. They simply should NOT be done by anyone without proper supervision and instruction. Consider this a strong nibble :)

  • It is not a ground squat clean but a hang clean. I doubt there is any reason to do a hang clean in olympic lifting ;)

  • Hmm? Training the second pull?

  • no seriously heangkoing is right, your feet shouldnt stomp,im an oly lifter and also do hang cleans and that techniqe is pretty damn bad

  • what do you do them for? In the weight levels you are most likely lifting how is there any use for the hang clean in general?

  • well even though we do heavy weights...we use it explosive power and extending to get under the bar...it also helps our technique in sitting in right down to the bottom

  • tru dat, More feet off the ground=higher pull to get under.

I don't understand why crossfit people insist on doing squat cleans when the weight their using are easily powercleaned to the neck....at a certain point, its just too contrived

  • because it requires more work

  • good pointers, HeangKoing..

  • Try and not have your feet come off the ground less,

-More hips driving up and shrug harder on the bar

-Stay more upright on the Clean receive positions. This will help you lift more later

    -overall looks pretty good!

  • Let's see some of your vids.

  • how much weight is that?
