He has become a very private individual who has decided not to grant interviews or be part of the larger afghan medium. Nainawaz jan; as you said, he is a very private person; this is the way he was brought up. As one of his fans, I appreciate that and have utmost respect for him. I know he has been refusing to appear on the TV channels; I have spoken to him. The reason behind it is that he's quite considerate and doesn't want to favour one channel over the other. He cannot appear to all the 6 channels. He's working on a documentary DVD that will provide answers to his fans. Looking forward to seeing it.

One channel against another with meaningless programs and young, arrogant producers who do what their hearts desire. So, I would not blame A. Wali jan for granting interviews with them. Unfortunately, the young audience and TV programmers do not have enough knowledge of understanding quality music to appreciate him.
