  • He's a 105 lifter. Some of us are still thinking about the 190 snatch done by Vardanian who weighed 19.5 kilos less than this guy.

  • @skirts365 Have you seen his 202 off the high blocks? Betcha Vardanian isn't doing that anytime soon.

  • @RandomStevie Admit it, both lifters were/are great. It seem the poundage possibility from blocks is higher, else why wouldn't he do 200 plus in a meet? Vardanian is older now and when Klokov reaches his age, "betcha" it will slow him down also. Vardanian also had a severe leg injury some time ago "betcha" it would have stopped Klokov also. FYI I saw Klokov doing 214 off blocks, losing it behind. Why did K have to weigh 43 pounds more than V to do 190? K has done 196 or so.

  • @skirts365 No no no, not blocks. High board*. I.E. Making the pull harder.

  • @RandomStevie If it's harder than a regular snatch, why would his competition lift be significantly less? In your reply, paste the URL of the exercise. I also like Blagoev at 90 doing 195.5 better than any of these 105's, on merit, today. The best are still in the past.

  • Klokov is so insane. I love watching him lift. At the beginning he's bouncing up and down like an angry russian tank stuck in idle

  • Man he is a beast. I saw his lifts on television. His facial expression and his behavior on the stage is pretty scary but also shows his motivation. My favorite lifter after Chigishev. :-)

    Thanks for the video.
