  • My favourite song when I was younger I didn't understand what Iit meant at the time but it was such a great song it still has that effect on me now its rare for a song to do that now

  • Bardo Thodol-- Expanding into a larger sense of spaciousness, nothing to hold onto -- beyond the mind and beyond the body-- floating free in space. totally safe, any distractions dissolving back into the heart.

  • Caught him live doing this. What struck me was how he could sing while moving around in that thing, and how he almost would roll off the stage, but somehow managed to stay in control.

  • Sounds like NIN before it's time.

  • Gosh I wish i'd been there!

  • @Julz30real Same here!!

  • Great!

  • Inside the Virus

  • great song great to watch

  • I love this! Thanks for posting!

  • I think it was in 2005....

  • The man is brilliant and has a big heart. Long live PG!!!

  • The most amazing tour that ever lived!

  • on the floor there's a wooden table

on the table there's an open book

on the page there's a detailed drawing

and on the drawing is the name i took

  • The 10 A-holes that did´nt like this watch too much American Idiot, I mean American Idol.

  • I love this DVD....but I do miss Manu Katche'.....I saw this tour live In Atlanta 2003 summer. It was AWESOME!

  • Playing keys in front of so many people- at first your hands shake a bit- but after you start playing- it gets better- then your heart finds the beat- and off we go- Though when they leave it's just replaying the last 16 bars of what they just finished playing- then everyone walks away- "Signal to Noise' which is the real masterpiece- took me a week to learn all the orchestral inflections

  • ...IMPRESIONANATE...

  • @jnglpe Fight against Cancer or AIDS with the help of your personal computer?

The Programm runs without problems for years already.

Thanks, in the name of severly ill people, for your attention.

  • I love PG, but this is f'ing AWESOME. If he would just tour anywhere near me again, I would go.

  • "So what did you do tonight Peter?" "Oh, just rana round inside a giant hamster ball on stage." "I see.." "Yea, blew everyones minds, y'know."

  • Jesus Egg.

  • Still can't get over Gabriel and his travelling goats.

  • Who has keyboard duties?I wonder what it must be like to play in front of thousands of people every night? Not to offend, but I still like the Paula Cole days. This video is a pretty cool referant to "The Orbs". I work hospice and these little things always show up.Something is in them, but it cannot be made out what,They show up on photographs and look like floating bubbles.Like the good witch in the Wizard of Oz was tooling about in,only tiny.True.

  • @DANGITPEPE

His daughter Melanie was on Keyboards. His other daughter Anne Marie directed the show =D

  • @Thumper17

melanie wasn't on keyboards, she was singging ;)

  • @samscheer85

One of his daughters was on Keyboards, lol. thanks though.

  • @Thumper17

Rachel Z was on keyboards and Melanie Gabriel was on vocals.. atleast that what I've been led to believe. :)

  • @samscheer85 she was

  • Peter Peter Big deal...big deal...

    YEP very BIG DEAL.

WHAT A CLASS ACT. Where less is more. Where less is more. He fills emptyness with little, creating more! Synergy. Let me in her fleshy purst.

  • Manu Katche' is really good in this concert.

  • @fifa2010rules This is NOT Manu Katché but Ged Lynch on the drums!!

  • @drummyonekenobi Yeah i just learned that...lol i thought he just hadn't been going to the beach or some shit lmao, but he still an amazing drummer xD

  • More live Gabriel!!

  • Este video es increible. Peter, sos mi idolo desde que tengo memoria.

  • Danke Schön!!! Thank You!!!

  • 3 times live. Awesome!!!!!!

  • this is quite fucking awesome

  • one day back in 2003 my buddy phoned me up and said "hey man, i got some free tix to peter gabriel tonight, wanna come help me sell them outside the stadium?"

    i said, "sure why not"

any how, we got down there, and said to each other "hey, we are both musicians, lets just go check this show out"

and it was by far the best show i have ever seen. not necissarily the musical performance (though of course levins was epic), but visually and just the whole experience.

    it changed my life. honestly.

  • 7 viewers just watched Sphere

  • Awesome, i envy the audience, they had amazing moments with Peter.

  • This was one of the highlights of when I saw him on this tour

  • Probably the best visual since the Division Bell tour by Pink Floyd. Great interaction, the round stage is perfect. Only wish I could have seen it in the flesh!

We can only hope to catch the 7 who need a can of whoppass for disliking this.

  • Probably the best visual since the Division Bell tour by Pink Floyd. Great interaction, the round stage is perfect. Only wish I could have seen it in the flesh!

  • GROWING UP !!!!! AWESOME LIVE !

  • what can we say

    His an amazing composer.

  • sorry abour my ignorance but what's the name of this tour? or the dvd?

  • PETER GABRIEL LIVE IN MILAN 2003 GROWING UP TOUR

  • this video kicks ass. way to gobrahmscon

  • Le génie revient!

  • Inspiring, deep and mind-opening: like everything Gabriel does, it cherishes me and my soul. Awesome song, beautiful album.

  • I remember seeing this in Chicaog twice it was amazing.....

  • you can not beat this . i saw this in manchester and was amased it sent a shiver down my back i can tell you . iv still got the t shirt i got of a lad out side [ it was only a fiver ] one of my best gigs . ha ha why wouldnt americans appreciate peter thats just daft.

  • FYI about 60% of this tour took place in US cities. Any A-hole who thinks Americans are not interested in this man's music is an idiot. He sells more records here than anywhere else.

  • My ghost like to travel too

  • "Stick" Levin!

  • Only the italians are modern enough, and open minded enough to truly appreciate this kind of artistry!

There's no way Gabriel could bring a great show of that kind to the U.S.! The vast majority of Americans would look at it with a deer in the headlights facial expression! Many of them would say "Mama, I aint never seen dat on FOXnews!"

  • @vampiroangelico

What an idiot, he is playing 3 dates in the US just this month.

  • @vampiroangelico dude you aint modern enuff, my cousin from Rome is blown away by this stuff. Ive been in a Gabriel band, can you sing? prolly not ta, Im from chicago and seen the greatness Gabriel can do and disagree with you, my section of where I grew up is Lil Italy, youd be in a body bag my friend....cosa nostra style..

  • @RequiemX66 "dude you aint modern enuff"?? How the hell would YOU know?

Can I sing? I've been a musician all my life, I play guitar, I sing, I play keyboards, bass, I play drums and I do drum programming as well.

What the heck is "prolly not ta"? Can you even type or speak?

Apparently you live in the section of town ruled by southern italians, and I'm a northern Italian, which is a completely different culture. I do not relate to "cosa nostra".

  • @vampiroangelico lol that's quite selfish what you say, but I guess Italians have a way of seeing things like this. Anyway, you might be right, prog-rock band Porcupine Tree also gave one of their best concerts in Rome (and it has been released as live album, very good stuff).

  • @nathanel1313

I didn't mean to come off as "selfish" and I apologize if I did; it wasn't my intention, and it is completely inaccurate to claim "Italians have a way of seeing things like this". The reason why I made that comment, was mostly to point out the fact that Italy has ALWAYS been hugely into prog rock, and factually, bands like Genesis, Yes, Marillion, Pink Floyd, Dream Theater had great success in Italy.

  • I like to think that I appreciate this music just as much as you do, thanks.

  • @61Turboman There IS Peter Gabriel :-)

  • @61Turboman nigga please...

  • @BLKSNK Love the response. Not sure what you mean.I'm old school. Also not a nigga

  • @61Turboman That is understated, but very well said.

  • That is far and away THE best stage production I have ever seen! So, PG was not only singing, but directing, rolling a huge orb around the stage without special effects, wires, smoke or mirrors. This man has been more than brilliant since I first saw him in 1974 touring "Lamb Lies Down", playing "in the round.) His voice is indefinable, his use of innovative instruments and timing make him a master composer, in my eyes. Trust me, this man's best work is yet to come, Y'all.

    OUTSIDETHEBOCKS

  • i was born in 1986 but i listen to PG Genesis stuff, i dont know why but i prefer his voice with them than that loser Phill

  • perfectly put - couldn't agree more - but can he really top this ?!

  • @OUTSIDETHEBOCKS Couldn't agree more ! I I too think there is still more to come from the maestro -expect the unexpected. The voice has matured and deepened but still incomparable. So near in the unknown I hope. :)

  • I am impressed with this man and what he's doing!

  • My Ghost likes to travel.....so deep into your world....

  • Has anyone found a Live version of Big Time??

  • @revilord I presume by now you've seen the Spectrum version on Youtube?

  • ¡eres la pera!

  • The first time I saw this I was in a big TV store and it was playing on all the sets around me. It was everything that I could do to stop from bouncing up and down with him during that part.

    Amazing man with AMAZING talent

The "Watch Of The Skies" never disappoints !!!

  • I think that plastic thing is called zorb (or zorbo?) ball...correct me if I am wrong...

I have this concert at home on DVD - PERFECT....

  • Superb, especially last sequence

  • oleee Melanie! Voz de angel !! Vitorro

  • what an interesting concept......the big plastic ball.

  • you mean the zorb?? yea, i thought hat was well cool, must require soo much skill to keep that thing on the stage

  • Birmingham NEC, England. Nothing short of amazing - as usual.

  • Bravo Robert Lepage! He thought of it...

  • what a tough act to follow............BRAVO PETER!

  • I have a fucking lot of Live-DVDs at home. But this is a masterpiece !

  • Wasn't he hot in there? But considering his history with costumes on stage, it probably didn't bother him at all.

  • voglio saltare anche io li dentroooooooooo!!!

  • I imagine that epic would be euphemistic! It would be crazy!

  • WOW! I wish I saw this live!
