We'd been playing together for over 16 years, and had been on the road constantly touring for the last 10 of those ...
I suppose the live scene just dried up too much by 1995; and it got really too much of a fight to keep it together after that...
But don't get me wrong, we had some great times .. 'Juke' did between 180 and 220 gigs every f...ing year! - from the Montreux Jazz Festival to the Glastonbury ...
@bobjuke1 - once you guys were in basel (switzerland) during carneval) in "atlantis" - the frontman asked us (a crazy carneval group) to play "the peter gun theme" together. was a great evening - i will never forget - and what's about mikey - how is mikey ?
What a wonderful performance, FANTASTIC, amazing chromatic harmonicaplaying, what a very good control of your breath and I like your style of playing the chromatic, lovely blues style, thanks for sharing your very beautiful playing with us, I know how difficult it is to play the chromatic in the right way, my compliments to the other musicians too ofcourse.
We wish you a blessed and beautiful Easter weekend,
Dearest greetings Chris - The Netherlands - Europe - YouTube chrismayka.
But in case anyone gets the wrong idea - that's Gaz Gaskell on harmonica. And that's a standard blues harp - And he's a saxophone player really .. Oh Yeah, and he also plays great guitar (that's him at the very end of this clip).... And he is an expert Salsa player and arranger - percussion and bass ...
I could go on !!! ..... He speaks four or five languages fluently .....
Oh man, this is just TOOO GOOD! Incredible harmonica work and that B3 organ voice just completes the whole vibe/mood. FIVE STARS and deserves ONE HUNDRED! Thanks Joan (ivoryticklermama) for sending my way. Right into my FAVES! MoJo

16 years is a pretty long time. And believe me, I was visiting so many of your concerts in the Frankfurt area. Each concert was a highlight for me.
I'm a saxplayer myself and your band influenced me so much. The day you guys gave up playing was one of the sadest in my players career.
I know that Gaz is still very active in teh Merseyside area. But what are you doing? Still playing?
Cheers
Jay

Sure wish I could find my X-Ray glasses from the '60s! :)
Yes, song is in the key of G, C harp in 2nd position. Smoky Greenwell does a real nice version of this song on his "Smokin' Classics" album.
Very cool song to learn and play!
Thanks for the video!
