I have the M13 i use quite extensively for my wedding band where I have to get alot of different tones. has all the distortions in this box. honestly I could go without the distortions, they are all pretty plastic and digital sounding. there is about 5-7 that I will use though, in combination with other effects and LOADS of tweaking, you can get REALLY killer sounds out of it, but I rely more on my dist/overdrives for the majority of my work, some of the OD's in here with tweaking, arebadass tho

It sounds a little better than I expected, but still it doesn't sound that good. The high end has that digital harshness that just annoys the crap out of me. I'd say it'd be better to save up for two or three better quality distortion pedals. This unit is a good IDEA, but not much more than that.

This thing pissed me off.

Something happened to it (I dint dropt it on teh hed) and now it randomly switches off at times.

Sometimes more than the next time or moment even.

Plus, the sound is pretty boring on most settings.

My amp isn't the best, but I've been trying to tweak it the best I could get it, and I still get a quite sizzle-y distortion for Metal.

There's nothing warm about this thing anyway, except for some of the Overdrive-sounds perhaps.

Glad I didn't pay full price... oh well...

@vaskate1 ya dude line 6 is shit. theyre so overrated. if you want a good mult effects pedal get a zoom g2.1u theres lots of demos and if you buy its brand new it comes with a recording software on a CD. if your lookin for a good multi effects amp. say like spider amp. the peavy vypr can really dish it out. it comes in solid state and tube. imo they both sound like tube amps amazing enough. ill buy a solid state because i cant crank my amps atm. parents lol

Typical line 6... a couple halfway usable tones and the rest garbage. Be better to find the couple pedals that work best for what you need and use those. Be more reliable too...

@bresan79 Totally agree! This has always been my argument with all of these multi effect units. They suck you in with the promise of 3 billion effects all in one compact unit..but everybody uses 4 of them! I bought the Line 6 M9, it's great for a practice unit or using it as a delay unit, otherwise straight up boxes are the ticket.

@mattluvsvox921 That's not an actual trick... It's just the different frequency's "overlapping" and that's the effect you hear.

Simply bend a note on your G string and pluck one on your B string at (almost) the same time. Then bend your G string "over" and "under" the correct note you were holding. All this should be done with a medium to high gain sound to achieve the effect you want. :-)

@tszoom85 I got this pedal for Xmas and it replicates these tones perfectly ~ however to use it to it full potential you really need a Strat, or a single coil pick up for it to really shine ~ I have Humbuckers on my Ibanez :( however the quality of the distortion is soo good :D I would reccomend someone get this if the're an Intermediate player looking to do gigs
