All you 90% of people accused of rape are charged and arrested; based on the accusers statement alone. 95% of the people charged with a crime in this country take a plea bargain. I work with an Attorney who takes on 1,800 new sexual assault cases a year. out of all those two have been sent to jail for sexual assault. Not because she's this great attorney; more often than not when the alleged crime is investigated by real investigators the story starts to unravel.

I was in a similar situation and after rejecting deal after deal we finally got ready to go to trial. 24hrs before trial the prosecution told us that anyone who testified on my behalf would be charged with kidnapping since they were there as witnesses but did not contact the police regarding the runaway and I would be charged as an accomplice. I did 8 months for a crime I did not commit.

In Sno County jail its called 5 North, or protective custody. They do not put false accusers in jail; the laws are set up to protect these people. This makes me so incredibly angry. Someone very close to me was raped in high school by a teacher, and more than 30 years later, she are still in therapy. Being falsely accused of rape is even worse than actually getting raped. Being raped is a terrible thing, but being falsely accused can be the worst thing ever. When you're raped, you feel terrible, I get it, though you get sympathy, media coverage, writing deals, etc. But when you are falsely accused of rape, you are an innocent man who is hated by society for the rest of your life. Plus it is extremely hard to get a job, face your friends and family, and not to mention the jail time.

In the second incident, I also haven't seen the entire video, because it was also edited, and the time stamp was covered up by the TV logo. They either molested that lady on camera and edited the video later, or they molested her off camera.

Not just believed - the media would put the most unflattering pictures of the office on the news with a condesending accusative voice over implying guilt, while paying for her to tell the story.....

1) False accusations can ruin reputations and result in wrongful imprisonment. This sort of thing ruins lives, much like rape.
2) Women who do this sort of thing undermine the efforts of anti-rape activists and disrespect actual rape victims. REAL rape victims have their allegations called into question because of people who do these things, and that's why it's so hard to convict a REAL rapist.
Something SERIOUSLY needs to be done about all of the women making these accusations. They need to AT LEAST be penalized for lying under oath and slander.

From my understanding, rape is criminal offense. Criminal offenses must be proven beyond reasonable doubt and the onus is on the plaintiff to establish proof.

This makes me so incredibly angry. Someone very close to me was raped in high school by a teacher, and more than 30 years later, she are still in therapy. Rape is being taken less and less seriously in our society because of these kind of things. Being falsely accused of rape is even worse than actually getting raped. Being raped is a terrible thing, but being falsely accused can be the worst thing ever. When you're raped, you feel terrible, I get it, though you get sympathy, media coverage, writing deals, etc. But when you are falsely accused of rape, you are an innocent man who is hated by society for the rest of your life. The first video clip mysteriously jumps from 10:59 - 16:03, with five minutes and four seconds obviously cut out by the police, who were in possession of the videotape and had ample motive to do so.
The missing five minutes and four seconds is obviously the time that the rape occurred, and that is why it's edited out.
Check the time stamp!

In the second incident, I also haven't seen the entire video, because it was also edited, and the time stamp was covered up by the TV logo. They either molested that lady on camera and edited the video later, or they molested her off camera.

I think it has to do with some instincts that are in us to protect females or some sh!t. But I don't think there should be a harsh penalty for false accusations, because that would make it harder for females to confess if they felt guilty about sending an innocent guy to jail.

In china they have this policy where if you falsely accuse someone of a crime you recieve the sentence they would recieve. Chinas false rape rate is below 2%.

I'm actually confused about the whole rape thing.
From my understanding, rape is criminal offense. Criminal offenses must be proven beyond reasonable doubt and the onus is on the plaintiff to establish proof.
So when the girl accused the officer of rape. Why did the chief make the statement: "without the camera it would have been difficult for the officer to prove his innocent"
