  • It got cut off...anyways. I hope that many more will come across this video and understand it. Thank you so much for making this awesome video. Im so glad to have found it.

  • I dont have TS but when I was little I had eppilepsy and it diagnosed me with slight autism, so I know how difficult things can be. I bite and twitch my fingers without realizing it and I make weird faces without knowing it...I get made fun of at school all the time and it really does hurt me. and I have OCD about germs. To see that theres someone who understands and is brave and put a video up makes me happy. Theres alot of kids/teens who dont understand TS or OCD or ADHD and etc and I hope th

  • You look like Sarah Silverman.. Nice vid! :)

  • you're really smart, thanks for the video

  • Oh, and I went through a stage where I made myself poke everyone that passed me.

  • I have OCD. I won't eat certain things if they are touching, I am the pickiest person ever, I am a perfectionist. I can be very obsessive over my compulsiveness.

  • You did very well here! : )

  • You're not funny looking! You're beautiful and articulate. Great video to help people understand your condition.

  • I was diagnosed with it when I was 7. It was severe and it annoyed people in my class and my grades which had always been great started dropping. I took a medication for a year and then my ticks started dissapearing and my grades got better.

  • You are awesome. What a great attitude. Hang in there.

  • people who think ts is fake are idiots and clearly aren't doctors. especially like domram12, who thinks he/she knows everything about everything...when i highly doubt they have half the education needed to have opinions like that...ts is a nuerological disorder...it's proven. it's not a "bad habit" that people pick up from seeing other kids do it....there are people who can go into cardiac arrest and literally fall to the floor like a stiff board. but they're faking? fuck off you uneducated twit

  • @lotsofcurlz36 TS or tics of repeated physical movements or verbal outbursts is just a bad habit that kids or people have learned or formed either by watching others doing it or by themselves. There are many people with TS or tics that eventually completely stopped their repeated movements by changing their bad habit and thats all it is a bad habit and nothing more.

  • I honestly think you're a great girl and the way you talk about turrets makes you normal, cause you're fighting with it. And I like your smile :)

  • My friend Tera told me to watch this video, and even though I don't have tourettes, I still find this to be an inspiration. My cousins and I suffer from many different mental disabilities, mine being ADHD and OCD, my cousins being Epilepsy, Austism, and yes, tourettes. People don't quite understand us, and they judge us on that. You've inspired me to be strong, and make the best out of situations. Add me on facebook, Ashleey Laangdon :) Btw you're beautiful, don't ever let anything stop you ! <3

  • This is so inspiring!

  • I have a cousin with Tourettes and I was born with neurological brain syndrome from a traumatic birth along with OCD,Asperger's syndrome and ADD. Thank you this was a very educational video

  • thank you so very much you inspired me to let my self out show the world i dont care that i have tourettes syndrume my friends used to pick on me about it and they still do and now i know there not really good friends so thanks alot you let me get through a ruff time

  • you are amazing !!!

  • Thanks for the video. Whether you are absulutely scientificaaly correct does not matter. What is important for me to hear first hand from a person with tourettes as this helps me to relate to the syndrome. I hope you are well and that the tics are not as frequent any more, now that you are older.

  • lol what? she was 14 when she made this? does tourettes have a side affect of intelligence increase because she seems pretty freakin smart. good hold on life hope shes still like that

  • YOSHI!!!!!!!

  • respect girl keep it up

  • I posted your video on my facebook. My daughter has Tourettes. You spoke about it so well. Really appreciate it.. Great attitude and sense of humor :)

  • You are so cute!

  • YOU'RE SUCH AN AMAZING PERSON!

  • I just watch your video. I think you are an incredibley inspiring person. I felt compelled to tell you.

    So...Thank you!

  • I'm the first one in my family to have it:(

  • You are soooo beautiful , don't worry about people judging you !!

  • You are great, keep it up;P

  • I guess with the right arm swinging tic she's careful to wipe her bum with her left hand...

  • @8wirral8 how rude

  • I have shown this for about 500 people in Sweden or even more, when I am lecturing about Tourette and OCD. You are so impressing and wonderful, thank you so much for letting us share. You have done a great job for making others understand what Tourette is all about. Good luck in the future!

  • i guess Cartman is the 10%

  • I have Tourettes Syndrome as well and I agree with you 100%. I've actually lived a really great, happy life with it. I'm 24 and have had it probably for twelve years or so, and in that time I haven't ever had a really significant problem with it. It's just something I've learned to manage like you, and who cares if we look a little silly once in a while, it makes for good conversation. I've learned being confident is key and will help above anything else.

  • I admire your strength to talk about this and put it to the public of the world. Good job for you and everyone else who stand up and bring awareness to it!

  • You are right anyone who has disabilities should stand up for themselves and if anyone look down on you then tell them to fuck themselves!! Be strong have more confidence on yourself is most important don't worry how people look at you since there are many wicked people who thinsk their lives are better then you!! Thumbs Up for you!!

  • You are lucky that you have friends who understands and support you!!

  • I know some people who has this illness and people treat it as a mental illness?

  • ... I think your cute! ;) 4real!

  • What you said was so beautiful! You made it sound cool! Besides you are so beautiful I don't think people would notice or even care about it if you are that beautiful! Hehehehe!

  • you're amazing =D

i'm a senior in high school (i'm a guy) off to college, 17 years old, i have tourettes too. Mine is not as severe, but i share motor tics and a small vocal tic. I love making fun of myself for it, because i have excessive blinking as a facial tic, my friend tells me they're too sexy to look at, so blink a bunch. lol its great you play instruments as well, I personally play 5. Saxophone is most soothing because, I'm simply blowing into the instrument, so vocal tics go away =D

  • yoshi ^_^ just like me <3 huthuuu!

  • So charming...

  • She doing the wave.

  • your amazing

  • I'm sixteen and i have TS+ too. You should join the Tourettes Syndrome Foundation of Canada on facebook if you haven't. There's a lot of feedback and support for everyone struggling with tourettes syndrome on there. good luck

  • Yes it can ruin your ability work. I can get really BAD!!!

  • one of my friends had this

  • Cont'd- I also want the skit to include actual 'true' information about tourettes, and your video has provided some useful information that I can include in the video to educate my viewers as well. So thank you for posting this video so I don't have to go and read through several written reports to find what you summed up in under 7 minutes.

  • This might sound bad, but I'm making a short comedy skit where the main character has tourettes. I'm not trying to make fun of tourettes, but it sets up an unusual situation that I think is funny. Although, I don't think I've ever seen a case of tourettes like the one in my skit. I would call it Robbery Tourettes, cause he essentially shouts robbery sentences like "PUT THE MONEY IN THE BAG", and you can probably guess what happens in the story.

  • Hey i think you are very brave for standing there and explaining infront of the whole world that u have this condition. And the people that sit there and make fun of u are assholes! they know that they couldnt be as strong as u!!

  • Thank you for just being you..You have inspired me with your honesty and your spirit..It leaves me with a warm and good feeling inside that you and others like you are showing people that life goes on and and we can make it special if we choose..Consider yourself my new Hero :)

  • I think you ROCK! I wish more tourette-free people had your attitude. I know people can be rude and thoughtless, but please don't let nitwits get you down. Your attitude and smile make your tourettes far less noticable, besides the fact you're so cute. Good luck in all you do, please never let anyone rob you of your smile and personality. I've watched a few of your videos and I'm not laughing at you at all... I applaud you! You are indeed a special person and I'm not talking about the tourettes.

  • Yayyyyy! I'm sure lots of people needed to see this! (:

  • Good attitude

  • Sarah, thank you so much for this video! It helped explain Tourretes to my 9 year old daughter beautifully. God bless!!

  • Your hott lol but great video I learned a lot

  • Good for you, sweetie!

  • im 21 i didnt really develop full on tourettes till i was about 17 it was just the odd twitch then but not long after i got my drivers licence i was driving along and kept slamming the brakes on for no reason at all and thats how i discovered it on the upside i have been able to call my boss a massive horse cunt to her face and she cant do anything about it

  • Very brave ! Im proud

  • Hi my name is Andrew and I'm around ur age and to have tourettes I hate it andsometimes not as optimistic as you when I watched this I was glad somebody made a video about it. And it's annoying when people make fun cus they don't understand but ur video inspired me thank you

  • Your totally epic I try to be that optimistic about my ts. But it doesn't always work. How do u do it. Plus when my friend sent me this video I was like wow how does she do that. U truly inspire me to keep an open mind about my turrets I also subscribed.

  • you totally have an awesome actually towards your Tourette's. I have autism and a type of tic disorder, not exactly Tourette's. but I think Tourette's, Autism, Asperger's, ADHD, etc are all on one big continuum. and a person may have one or more of those conditions on the continuum! actually i like to call my Autism a cluster conditon. because there are so many different conditions that makes up my Autism! Donna William was the one to start to call Autism as a cluster condition.

  • I grew up in the 80's it was alot harder to try to explane my condition, people back then didn't understand,,..,,...!

  • I'm 38 and have severe Tourettes and your alot more brave than I could ever be!

  • Thanks for the video and the great explanation. In case no one else mentions it, you are not only brave, but appear to be beautiful both inside and out!

  • Comment removed

  • thanks for this video coz after 28 yrs now i know what i syndrome what i have coz my eyes always blink rapid and whink and my neck always rotate, its to hard coz some people make fun on me..your such inspiration for me and to others..

  • is there a minor version of torrets coz i keep having mini spazez like twiches and shit

  • my friend has tourettes. I had never even heard of it before, but when she had a tic, I freaked out. I thought it was a seizure. I was so scared. But she just told me it was a tic. I was relieved. I never laughed, I've googled this a lot and read some very interesting things. It isn't a joke, no one should laugh. I'm sure it's difficult for people to understand that it isn't fake, it's real. But you just need to ignore those idiots. Anyways, you're such an inspiration. subscribed. and rated. (:

  • LOL! I love your attitude! I have never been diagnosed with TS, but either I like to growl at people and nod my head as if to acknowledge someone, even if they aren't there, or I do have TS lol.

I just wanted to comment and send a "nod" (pun intended) to your friends. I know from personal experience how embarrassing tics can be, but having friends who can look past the movements and sounds and not treat you any different, are a rare gift. I wouldn't trade them for anything. We are lucky people!

  • I'm worry about your shoulder, don't dislocate it please. Again, you'r awesome and I don't know why, you are so special, take care, I lov ur videos

  • You're awesome!!!

  • :) i personally think your ticks are cute, I have seen girls that can fake their ticks to get away with things, like cursing someone out or calling them names, your ticks are not offensive to anyone, and you are very admired for posting your video on here. :) good luck and keep that smile because there are a lot of people out there who will try to make you feel horrible for having something you have no control of. Good luck in life hun, and always stay as positive as you are now.

  • @WambuiAndHaileyBFF

u r such a good person and you too Lotsofcurls36!

  • you are very brave

    !

  • I hope you don't get judged by ignorant people because of this condition.

  • but your right about you can do anything i went to a firefighter academy got into a station but then took a turn around and got hired with the LA county fixing roads as of right now come to show we can still do things and people with TS need to know this because i always get upset about having it and even think about a life without it and how perfect my life would be well let me know if you know about and groups or places in cali were people like us join up and meet thx your the best !!

  • Hey Im andrew im 23 years old and i smiled so much because of your video i have tourettes as well and after seeing your video i feel a little more understanding and i love how you live with it and your not mad at all i gusse you can say i have a little case of it i move a lot mostly my head and neck most the time and i wish i had a friend with the same problem or a group of people, Alot of people dont hang with me because it looks crazy and its hard to keep a girlfriend around me

  • you're an awesome person. I dont' have tourettes, but i admire your courage. I honestly can say I don't think your tics are funny. Holding a conversation with you wouldn't be any different than speaking with anyone else. Don't ever lose that smile and that heart of yours.

  • You said that we think you look funny. Well, all I saw was a brave girl with a message.

  • Turrets is something I was fact finding on and I stumbled across your video. I think its great you have friends like that, what a good support system. And how inspiring to see such a positive attitude through such a challenging situation. Your wisdom surpasses your age my dear. Keep smiling, and doing what your doing. Take care.

  • Great video. Kudos to you. Others can look up to you

  • Oh my god <3

  • this chick seems genuine! And shes not yelling out cuss words!i think she is a great role model for peeps with tourettes.

  • A big phat blunt would correct this behavior...hope she lives in a state with medical marijuana

  • Having tourettes must have sucked ass

  • Your friend who did the Yoshi noise was sweet haha I'd love to be their friend. :)

  • 6:38 "If you wanna rape, it's down there". You're damn right it is.

  • @iamgir1 Obviously, dumbass. It's a joke..

  • Excellent soul ......

  • UR HOT

  • woow!!! love you attitude

  • i admire you miss :-) God Bless

  • I don't think you look "funny", I think you're really engaging and sweet. I think you're handling your condition very well - it's just random interruptions that you have to work around. It's only as "big" a problem as you allow it to be, I guess.

I was smiling through the whole video, and I've learned a lot about Tourette's from you. Have you seen Boston Legal? The character Jerry Espenson has Tourette's (among other problems!); he'll make you laugh at him more than you laugh at yourself! Kris

  • you are so beautiful. I support you ALL THE WAY. Beacuse most people with Tourette Syndrome don't want to talk about. And you are really brave , and there is nothing to be made fun of / or no reason to be laughed at. But keep doing what your doing. xoxo

  • @alwayslinnieMF Alot of people thinks their lives are better than others but truely they are the losers of live many people with disorders are talented people!!

  • I srsly respect you for this, and u seem like a really great nice person by the way and if someone makes fun of u in a way thats not fun 4 u or if they think ur faking, then they r just either ignorant or just really horrible ppl

  • Just have a question, but no disrespect intended. Why is it that some people who have tourette's say that the ticks/movements that they do are totally uncontrollable, but there are others who claim that they can control when they allow the movements to happen. They say they always feel the need to do them, but they can avoid doing them if they try hard in certain situations. I'm wondering if it's similar to a smoker really feeling like they need a cigarette, but can still choose not to smoke.

  • @TheSuperBlackMan Rreasonable question. I'll try to explain as best I can. No 2 Tourette's sufferers are the same, it also depend on the severity of the condition. Some sufferers (myself included) can exhibit some control over their tics. Generally preceeding the tic there is the 'urge'..eventually it will happen. Holding it back for too long usually results in what I call a tic 'exlosion'. .Imagine an itchy spot, now don't touch. It won't stop itching until you scratch, but don't scratch it.

  • Your awesome

  • I respect youu allooot ! Nd all the ppl dat has the syndrome too... Ur awesome and the vidio its amazin :)

  • your loud tics make me think you would be an awesome singer :) <3

    and awesome attitude btw !

  • wow you are very brave

  • Great dance moves.

  • beautiful, the word to describe you. I'm reading Med Head, decided to research on Tourette's, and here I am, watching you, loving your amazing being :) keep shinning <3

  • You are a uniquely amazing and brave person. Thank you for making this video.

  • your freaking awesome!! seriously i bet this video has brought comfort to many people with tourettes syndrome ^-^

  • I have seen those bad comments on this one, please don't take this one off. It shows tourette's as it really is and that things happen unexpectedly. That's tourette's-unexpected things. If some people can't handle it they're afraid. Some people are afraid of my asperger's and avoid me. Show people your extra stuff, you win beyond infinity.

  • tourette's also coincides with autism, usually mild-spectrum. I have tourette's and asperger's syndrome.

  • I like your videos, I notice you first posted these three years ago, how are you now? I'm a woman also with tourettes and my daughter shows signs of inheritence... it's such a funny disorder, almost undefinable, I hope you're doing very well, stay positive and don't let the ignorance of others ever ever bring you down, you have such an opportunity to embrace the good things in the world and geniunely leave the bad behind you, in that way tourettes is such a blessing :) GOd bless - Wren

  • You honestly might be one of the most beautiful people on this planet... inside and out. Much love and keep strong! (:

  • I watched a few "Tourettes Guy" clips and didn't laugh'. I really felt for him in his obvious suffering. Then, I learned that he was an actor. Then, I laughed, yet it was kind of uncomfortable. What, who was I laughing at/with and why? It kinda make me look deeper into myself...Why do I think this is funny and not funny at the same time? Then, I learned he died...not funny.

I just now watched this clip where you describeTourettes in a way that connects with me. Thanks! Go get 'em girl!

  • That sound almost sounds like your sneezing, that's how you could hide it.

  • ...you're brilliant and fantastic

  • i am amazed by your positive energy, it is really inspiring. wish you all the best and thank you for this video.

  • I sat here and watched this video with my daughters. We were glued to the screen the entire time. The thing that hit me was how humble you are and what a huge heart you have. I did not finish the video feeling sorry for you. Quite the contrary. I was amazed by your strength of character and your incredibly good attitude. You definately have a future as a motivational speaker. Your parents should be, and I'm sure they are,,, so very proud! God bless!

  • This is an awsome video, dont mind the people who dont believe you! I dont know if i have tourettes or not, but i get annoyed if i dont use the right foot and stuff, i also used to do this wierd thing with clicking the like botton on youtube more then 3 times per viedeo , i mean i cant help it, i dont do any screaming noises and stuff, i think, but i do some wierd movements, like when i open the sink i have to open and close it 3 times or somthing, like reapiting things over and over

  • ur a really cool chick...it who u r..it does not define u but it adds to the charm ;) rock on lil chica

  • I support tourettes marriage

  • I have turrets as well...^_^ I constantly grab my ears and mess up my hair. Thats kinda why I wear hats a lot. You're very admirable and awesome for expressing yourself.

  • thats sad

  • thank you for making this video, you helped me understand more about turrets :)

  • your attitude is beautiful. ^_^

  • and tourettes can cause rage

  • plus if you focus on something and it distracts you the tics are less often

  • it also can come from brain damage from difficulty of birth like mine was the imbecile cord was tied tight around my neck and wasn't breathing and caused damage from lack of oxygen and my grandpa and uncle has it

  • my friends just call me twitch :D

  • I am actually really curious about the syndrome from a scientific point of view. I have a lot of questions like, I wonder if a kid that grew up on a deserted island and never learned the English language, would they still say cuss words? Obviously if they hadn't ever learned English cuss words that would be impossible. So what would they say? Random words they had made up themselves that they thought were offensive? For example do kids who speak foreign languages get tourette's???

  • Very brave! Stay positive, that good energy is contagious :-)

  • Have a feeling here some people who think you're fake want you ticcing all the time. It would make sense if someone with ts saw the opposite sex that they loved it could trigger more because they're anxious or nervous at the time

  • go girl. you're fu^+**ing cool. Stir the soup!

  • i have tourettes syndrome and im finding it hard to find the self esteem to make a video for youtube, because mainly i dont know what to say and im worried what people might think :( can you please help me?

  • i also have tourettes syndrome and im finding it hard to find the self esteem to make a video for youtube, because mainly i dont know what to say :( can you please help me?

  • You're so beautiful

  • Hi, I was wondering if based on the definition, you might also have Choreria. See wikipedia for more information. But what struck me about you and the definition is this quote: Choreia is characterized by brief, quasi-purposeful, irregular contractions that are not repetitive or rhythmic, but appear to flow from one muscle to the next.

These 'dance-like' movements of choreia (from the same root word as "choreography") often occur with athetosis, which adds twisting and writhing movements.

  • Fuck that im cracking your skull if you make fun of me if i had tourettes.

  • SSSSSSOOOOOO FFFFFAKEEEEE!!!!!!!!! VERY OBVIOUS..

  • @bibegandanghari dude get a fucking life ya stupid prick

  • love the video, honestly today is my first time hearing about let alone seeing Tourrettes Syndrome and i thank you for the video.........oh and another way to look at the arm tick thing is like your about to start break dancing :)

  • I also used to have mild vocal ticks until the age of 20, and now they are like completely disappeared. So dont worry, keep on being positive, and what I think the best is, just calmly wait them to disappear:).

  • hey you are awesome :) you have a great personality :) .. it doesn't matter how we look like or what we're doing with our bodies , the most important thing is what we are from inside :) :) god bless you :) <3

  • What a cursed disease it is! At least you do not swear, so it is more acceptable by the society.

  • WOW! I am so amazed at your confidence and articulate presentation. You speak with the wisdom of someone much older (then 14). I don't have Tourettes but I do self harm and have ED. Your situation forces you to face the reality of your tics and almost make fun of them, I'm sure though that this is why you are so strong and brave. Thank you so much for opening my eyes to TS

  • I wuld wanna be yur friend :) yur cool lol and nice video

  • ok...one of my friends has tourett's syndrome, but i don't really care..i mean, it's like smelling like pine, or having blonde hair...at this point he dosen't have blond hair, hi is who he is, stop, anyway, i degressed, i would like to say that you've got a really, really sweet voice, sincerely

  • What would happen if we strapped your arm to your body? Seriously would it physically hurt you? like your mucels force you to do that?

  • i dont have tourettes or any of these problems your having but you still inspired me to take a different look at life...my god bless you always!

  • You are very brave. :) I'm almost 14 and i have tourettes, although i dont have any major tics right now. But i used to blink really hard and open my mouth to like crack my jaw or something. I am definately sending a friend request to you! ;)

  • Also I've noticed that a lot of people with TS like to play music. Like my brother, he is a pianist =)

  • Can people have it even if neither parents have got it? My brother has TS and neither of my parents have it but I think it could be passed down from my father's side because we think that one of my uncles and one of my cousins may have it also but they haven't been diagnosed with it. So is it possible that it can skip a generation also?

  • My son who is 4 was just diagnosed with TS and he loves you and this video. He has motor and vocal tics. He really wants to meet friends that have tourette syndrome but we haven't found anyone in our area yet. Thank you for posting, I don't know if you know that these videos are like a little life line for youngsters like him. He is on the spectrum of those that deal with ODD (not OCD) so it helps him so much to see someone so positive! Thank you!

  • Thank you so much about this! Greetings from Finland! ;))

    Have a wonderful weekend! ;))

  • YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL =)

    KISSIS FROM ARGENTIA =)

  • 4 more years untill she's legal.

  • I'm sure other people who carry the burden of TS really appreciate this video. You seem to have a good head on your shoulders (and beautiful curls, too!). Shame on anyone who causes someone with TS a fake. Everyone knows that no one fakes TS, bc anyone who fakes TS even for a second instantly has an aneurysm and goes to hell. Everyone knows that!

  • your honestly a true insparation, 2 of my cousins have tourettes and its very hard to see them like that sometimes, im so happy you made this video!! your soo brave and inspiring!

  • You're approach to life with tourettes is so brave. You're an inspiration to others.

  • You are honestly an inspiration. Please, i don't have tourettes, but never lose your happy personality. Never.

  • okay well it is a funny dis order but i also feel so sorry for you guys i dont know how you feel but it looks like you get aggravated. you laugh at your self cause you know its funny to but i did not know how bad it really was untill today nice video you really taugh me something

  • Howly crapp .(: you're gorgeous! and you have such an amazing attitude (:

    Kay I gotta question:

I have OCD. My T.V. volume HAS to be an even number or i will freaking spaz. if i were to pet/kiss my dog,it has to a 5,10,15,20, and so on number or it has to have a rythm. if i'm gonna breath in really deep then out,i have to do it like 9685985y65867 times. /: i cant stan dit but ya know.. is there any way i can help those? they bother me. D:

  • love this! you are beautiful and have such a great attitude!

  • lol why is she so shaky fuckin wierdo

  • @manrayer88 and why are you an insecure little fat prick you asshole.

  • @pchiethegreat1 lol wat

    r u ghey?

  • @manrayer88 learn how to spell, retard!
