  • Your gramps is awesome, Makayla....Enjoyed meeting him on several occasions.

  • That's Linda Waring on drums on this video.

  • Update! Went to see Bugs last night at BB's in STL.

Fantastic show, Bugs played like he did back in the mid 90's!

Awesome to see him back, plays like a man on a mission once again.

  • a true master!!!

  • I recall seeing Bugs wayback onstage with Freddie King (around 1973 maybe) This tune is a reminder of Freddie. Bug's son , Buddy, is one helluva drummer.

  • Buddy's good, but he learned ALL his chops from the previous drummer Cody whom taught Buddy his stuff then was let go, and Buddy took over.

  • d6p2: Thanks for that info..i never knew that. What happened to Buddy? Did he burn out on drugs?

  • Sorry to take so long to reply.

This is strictly hearsay so DON'T QUOTE ME on this.

From what I understand Buddy got into some legal trouble, and has had to do some time. I don't know the circumstances, if he's still in or out, OR IF IT'S EVEN TRUE, but that's my understanding.

  • uuum ok well heres the deal..... my name is makayla and im buddy's daughter which means that bugs is my grandfather cody is my uncle..... buddy is in fact in prison right now.... although hes been outa the band for quite some time which im sure ur well aware of... he will be in there for a while! :(... soo ur right

  • Forgot to say

Cody's the man on drums as far as I'm concerned when it comes to Bugs. I was privy to seeing them play during Bugs's heyday.

Buddy wouldn't be the player he is if it hadn't been for Cody.

  • @taildragger51 mother blues nitzinger, too. also a little kid named kubek...

  • Certainly not to diss Bugs in anyway, he's one of the greats, but he's just lost something in the past few years.

I used to go see him ALMOST every time he came to St. Louis to play Off Broadway from about 92-98, back in the days of Keith on Bass, Cody on drums, and John "Dark Angel" doing roadie.

Afterwards Bugs would go back to the hotel, and the rest of the guys would come out with my friends & I to one of our houses, get drunk & stupid then we'd take them back to Bugs.

    I miss those days :o)
